Michael was a fantastic host! Before our visit, he sent us all sort of wonderful recommendations, and he met us and showed us around the flat when we got there. The flat was well located and just what we needed, nothing fancy but comfortable.

Good location. Good access. Decent area. Good size flat with kitchen and laundry which was helpful. Unfortunately none of the furniture was comfortable and one bed kept coming apart, so sleeping was challenging, and the place was quite dirty.

The location is fantastic for easy Tube access to everything London. This property works for sleeping 3-4 on a budget, but the beds are futons that aren’t particularly comfortable for sleeping and the second futon is just on the floor in front of the living room couch, so a titch awkward. No dryer, so you will need to hand dry anthing you wash. The neighborhood was mostly quiet for us. Old antique bath tub, so showering was an exercise in not flooding the room, but the temperature controls worked well, set the temp and forget.

Mike is very helpful, flexible, patient and a nice person. He gave us a warm welcome and explained us his apartment. The appartment is very good placed in the city in a charming and quit district. We enjoyed the stay in the flat even not everything was in best condition. It was authentic.

This was a fabulous flat. Perfect for a family of 4 with 2 of them teens. It was a quick walk to the tube, and very quiet. It was warm so we slept with the windows open and it was so peaceful. The flat is exactly as the pictures show. Michael was a great host and met us at check in and clearly communicated before our arrival. Loved our stay!

Great little place outside the city center. Great location to jump on the Jubilee or Metro lines and get anywhere you want in minutes. Apartment was great for 2 adults and 2 kids. Very quiet and safe neighborhood with grocery store and restaurants within walking distance. Wonderful and very responsive host. Plenty of room for the family to spread out. Great value for the price. You can spend the day in the city center and return to a very quiet and comfortable apartment far away from the hustle and bustle.

This flat is excellent for the price and location; quiet, close to Finchley Road tube station, Waitrose, good cafes and excellent restaurants are all within easy walking distance and Mike is a superb host - could not be more helpful. We really only used the apartment as a place to sleep as we were out most of the day and evenings so we did not do any cooking in it - just made ourselves a cup of tea!

Michael instantly made us feel like old friends. He was the perfect host and stayed in touch throughout, offering advice and great suggestions! The flat is very fun/funky — loads of art everywhere, which is why it’s not for small kids. But our teens loved it. Overall it’s genuinely a great location (depending on your walking speed, less than 10 minutes to the local shops and the Underground)!
Also lots of reading material!

PROS:Michael is a friendly host and was responsive when arranging logistics prior to arrival. He met us on time to facilitate check in and walked us through the apartment. Location is great in a quiet neighbourhood and about a 10 minute walk to Finchley Road and tube station with restaurants and groceries nearby. Michael was accommodating and understanding when we had to cut our stay short and refunded us for the nights we didn’t end up staying (see below). The unit is spacious with a separate bedroom and living room area. Internet was fast. CONS:Cleanliness: while this is ultimately subjective, the unit was in dire need of a deep cleaning. Because the apartment had art and knick knacks from the host’s travels around the world, it also attracted a lot of dust. My son’s dust allergies prevented him from sleeping which was why we had to leave after 3 nights. The washer was unusable because of mold and odours. Mattress: the bed in the bedroom was acceptable (mattress box spring, no frame) but the sofa bed in the living room was not adequate for sleeping for adults. There was no mattress just a thin foam (akin to packing foam, not memory foam) on top of wooden planks and was shaped oddly as it was comprised of 2 different pieces of foam. Needs to be replaced with a proper mattress. Shower: position of shower spray in bathtub made it very difficult to properly shower without the too short shower curtain sticking to your body. Hope this feedback helps

Wir haben zu viert einige Tage in London verbracht. Die Lage der Wohnung ist wirklich super, da die UBahn in der Nähe (5-8 min zu Fuss) ist und an der UBahn Station ist ein Supermarkt. Die Wohnung selbst ist liebevoll und detailreich eingerichtet. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, und die Kommunikation war schnell und problemlos.
