This unit worked well for our fall break vacation. Our group of 3 adults and 3 children had plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time away. We loved the beach and the pool. This unit was right by the elevator on the sixth floor, which made getting up and down to the pool/beach very easy (the hall ways are LONG so having this location was a big advantage). Unfortunately, the beds/mattresses in both the larger bedrooms are in dire need of an upgrade. The master bedroom mattress was horribly uncomfortable. The only spot that wasn't heavily caved in was a small portion in the dead center of the mattress. Both my wife and I agreed that it was one of the worst mattresses we've ever slept on. The bed frame felt very unstable and super noisy as well. The good news is, the rest of the unit was very nice. Buying a couple of new mattresses would be would be a simple fix that would make the stay for futures renters much more enjoyable!

I'm a titanium elite level for Marriott hotels, which means I stay in over 100 Marriott hotels a year.. I'm supposed to get upgraded for free, and several other perks. I was told upon check-in that there were no rooms available for upgrades, but the parking lot was only half full... First Marriott that I've been treated that way.

Review

A few areas of the condo were not fully clean but overall it was very good. Hall smelled bad when we first arrived. Location was great. Amenities were great. Number of staff and work ongoing to keep things clean was excellent at the resort.

Great place for kids

Property was well kept and the beach was beautiful. Condo was very nice but could use some upgrades (beds and couches). Road construction makes it difficult to walk anywhere currently. Ours kids had the best time at the pool and the fudpuckers snack hut was very convient.

Perfect family stay

We travel to the emerald coast every year for our family beach vacation. This was by far our favorite location that we have stayed. Perfect for the kids with the resort pools and beach side without commute The resort was super family friendly and the unit was everything we hoped for Thank you!

Great condo for kids

We had a great time, perfect resort for families with kids. Only downside was the air conditioning never got below 70* but they did have fans so it wasn’t bad. Very clean, we will definitely be back.

2024 vacation

Waterscape and the unit were exactly as described. The condo was clean and had everything you need for a great vacation. The walk to the beach was much closer than we thought! The pools and splash pad were beautiful! Great place to stay close to everything you need.

Island stay

I will start by saying, we throughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back and stay again! The best part of this condo is the view of the ocean and pool from the balcony. The unit was just as pictured with some minor wear and tear that’s normal with a rental. The kitchen had everything we needed as far as utensils go along with a few dishwasher pods, garbage bags and paper towels. We also loved the in unit laundry to dry towels from the pool and beach and to do a few loads of laundry so it wasn’t as big of a burden when we returned home. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were large with plenty of towels for our group of 8. Our kids enjoyed the bunk room with TVs. As far as amenities of the condo go, we absolutely loved the pool and being steps to the beach. We would go back and forth every day to get our fix of each. The condo is within minutes of restaurants and grocery stores which was really conveinent as well. We didn’t know ahead of time, but the unit had a pack n play, 2 beach chairs and beach toys in the closets as well. I would want to know this info as a parent of small kids, so I thought I would share. This is a great place to stay if you’re a family with kids! We can’t wait to come back for another stay!

Fall Break @ Fort Walton Beach

It was a good experience booking/communicating with Pinkie. Nice accommodations, great view of pools and beach. Was fantastically so easy to get to beach and loved the setup.

Great Place

The resort is wonderful! Access to the pool and beach couldn’t be better. There are multiple grills around the pool area that you could use and they were very clean. The beach chairs included is a real plus but get their well before they open to secure a front row spot. The condo is excellent! Very clean and well stocked, and family friendly. The extra half bath (powder room) really came in handy with 7 people, and the bedrooms are essentially 2 masters with attached baths. Check in and out was simple and we were able to get in well before 4pm. Parking is convenient to the unit and they have hotel/luggage carts which is so helpful! One of the bedrooms was always a bit stuffy but not unbearable. There were 5 nice TVs yet we only got 1 to work (batteries were dead in most remotes, and there were 3+ remotes for each TV and we gave up trying to figure it out). My only real complaint was communication with the host. I could not get her to reply via phone or email or thru the VRBO app, after multiple attempts. I actually started to think the final payment request email was a scam because she wouldn’t reply to anything. I finally called VRBO to get them to confirm the host details. They sent her an email and she finally replied to me thru that email. The only way I successfully communicated with the host at any point was thru that same VRBO initiated work order (email) telling her that I was trying to reach her. Very frustrating and considered canceling because I was concerned how the lack of communication might reflect in the experience later. Overall I would recommend for sure!

Waterscape at Fort Walton

This room was great. Had a small hiccup with room being cleaned late & because of this the cleaning staff took my pillow case. However the property manager communicated well & was helpful. I would stay here again.

Best experience by far

This was the best vacation we ever went on. Set the bar for condos! Must haves: lazy river. My kids literally didn’t want to get out of it. Beach during the day, lazy river at night! Such a great room as well!

Great for families!

Had a great time here with our family! It’s a great setup for kids and really enjoyed the beach and proximity to restaurants. The pools were fine, the heated one was very crowded and the lazy river was under construction when we were there. Sadly that wasn’t communicated to us before hand. The unit had a nice view and was well appointed. Great spot!

Nice place, fun resort, frustrating air conditioning

The condo was nice and the resort was fun. We didn’t sleep that well the whole time because the air conditioning has a motion detector so it shuts off (or is allowed to reach like 80) when you’re gone for more than 30 minutes (or in the middle of the night because there’s no movement detected) and no matter how low you set it the thermostat has an override that only lets it go to low/medium 70s at best and it takes hours to get down to that temperature because it was allowed to get up to 80. We like to sleep cool and we like to return from a dinner to a cool condo. We were given 3 dishwasher pods for a 4 night stay and there were two coffee makers (keurig and regular) but no coffee or sugar provided. Our daughter loved the pool and staying here gets you 2 beach chairs and an umbrella they set up around 7:30. They say no using towels for reserving chairs but everyone’s doing it.
