Great property, in such a beautiful location. The host Manuela was very responsive and helped and advised with everything we needed. I highly recommend this property and we will definitely be returning.

Great location, not the first time visiting the area, so had good knowledge of local amenities etc. property ideally located for our purposes with a fantastic outlook across to Kylerhea. Property well appointed and spotless throughout.

Gorgeous property, the place was exceptional. Best place we've stayed at in Scotland since we started visiting the Highlands many years ago. It had a cosy feeling, even though it was open plan and was very well equipped. There's washing facilities if you get muddy and dirty and even an iron and ironing board. The bedrooms are both pretty and cosy, a double with on suite shower and a twin next door to the bathroom. The veiw was spectacular even when the weather was bad and looked over to Skye. Really peaceful and great if you just want to rest up and recharge, but also a good place to visit the Isle of Skye...if the local ferry is working... unfortunately for us it had broken down.The host was very helpful at the beginning of my booking and answers queries promptly.It is wonderfully pet friendly and loads of garden for them to run around in and beaches within walking distance. Parking inside the property boundaries, but don't forget to shut the gate as sheep are never far away.Just beautiful all round

A lovely house in a lovely location. Everything was catered for. Clean beds and floors etc.The only downside is that whoever cleans the property should take a little more time to be more particular to the rest of the house

2nd stay at this amazing accommodation. Great facilities, fantastic value for money.Location is fantastic for wildlife and getting away from everything but still close enough to get to the more tourist based places.We will definitely book again!

Beautiful house in such a picturesque location! Slept really well. Well catered for too. Just the kind of place to take your supplies & hunker down in. Rooms we're warm & cosy when the weather wasn't brilliant. The host was excellent and very helpful when we left something behind after our stay, they couldn'tof done enough. Property is exactly as described. Nearby cosy, friendly pub, a cafe in the Community centre, and a village shop. Ample parking for large car. Stunning views across the Sound of Sleet towards Skye. Right across the road from a shingle beach. Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend

This is a stunning location and the house is very well equipped. Glenelg is somewhat isolated but that is its charm. One local shop with limited opening times and limited stock .The nearest supermarket is 25 miles away. Handy for the Glenelg to Skye ferry. (Summer only).Recommend.

Great stay!

What a nice place to stay! The water is on the other side of the road and you can walk alongside the water and enjoy the view. The house is great with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a very spacious kitchen.

Once again we loved staying in the house. So much space, very comfortable, everything you need and stunning views, what ever the weather. We feel so at home here and always have such a relaxing holiday. Can't wait to stay again.

In Spinal Tap terms Solas would deserve 11 out of 10 apart from one or two minor niggles. Let’s get these out of the way first. The dishwasher would not operate for us and the doors to the ovens need repairing. You felt you were going to break them every time you open and close them.The positives far outweigh these. Solas was very well equipped, comfortable and pretty much defined Location, Location, Location! Not just the house itself which had stunning views right outside, but gave easy access to the marvellous countryside around. Highly recommend the road to Corran, the walk to Sandaig where “The Ring of Bright Water” was written (saw golden eagle here), the microbrewery at the Pictish brochs, the lovely Glenelg Inn and not forgetting the easy access to Skye across the fascinating turntable ferry at Kylerhea. Reluctant to write too praiseworthy a review as people might book and prevent us from returning! Glenelg, the surrounding area and Solas are very special places.Thanks.
