Within striking distance is the breath-taking Lake District National Park, with easy access to the delightful towns of Ambleside and Windermere. 16 miles away in the larger town of Kendal, which plays host to superb shopping arcades, two castles and a number of historical landmarks to keep you busy. Shap promises a wonderful village, perfect for exploring Cumbria and the wonders of the Lake District.
