We enjoyed the unique property. The house was clean, well stocked with what we needed to make meals & spacious enough for 2 families to spend time together but not be in each others way. The area is full of natural beauty. We visited when it was bitter cold or we would have spent more time outside with the animals and enjoying the porch & yard.
We thought settings like this was only found in Hallmark Movies. You proved us wrong. Beautiful family vacation home. So relaxing and the views were breathtaking. We loved visiting the horses, donkey and sheep. We will definitely be back!
We had a great Christmas stay with our kids and grandkids. The house was warm, clean, and well-stocked with supplies. The animals were friendly and welcoming and everyone enjoyed feeding them.We would be very happy to come back again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were able to walk down and see/pet the horses and a sheep behind the house. Nice, quiet location not far from Ponca/Boxley where we took our older parents to see Elk. Definitely recommend staying here.
We have stayed in cabins all over the US for the past 20 years and this one was far and away the best supplied (linen, kitchen, etc) of any visited. The ranch house was large and clean, had good views, a great deck and quiet surroundings. Our hosts lived on the property and were very gracious to us including a personalized tour of the facities on the 400 acre ranch. We would stay there again in a heart beat if we wished to visit that area of Arkansas again.
Fenced and gatedâsecure large area for toddler & dog to play in. Nearby spring & creek, sheep & horses entertained. Great kitchen area for family meals, and nice laundry area. Most of all we enjoyed the front porch!
Fantastic place to stay! Super clean, well equipped with anything we might have forgotten, beautifully landscaped property! And adorable horses to feed!
Our kids and grandkids joined us for a Buffalo River float trip. This house was a perfect size for us. We all had room to spread out in the house as well as gather in dining/kitchen for meals. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch each evening reliving the dayâs adventures. My grandson used the fishing pole he found on the porch to fish in the small pond. The house has everything you will need down to dishwasher pods. We had a blast and will return!
We had such a great time! The only thing I wish we had known was that the road was gravel for over a mile. However it was very well maintained and other than being dusty wasn't an issue! We had everything we needed and my kids LOVED the horses!
Peaceful and beautiful. Set in the hills away from everything, this property is really well equipped so that you can quickly unload your gear and either sit back and relax or go exploring. We enjoyed feeding the horses and saying hi to the very excited and friendly sheep. There is a nice trail up above the property and a quiet stream below it. From here we found it easy to visit Hawksbill Crag, The Glory Hole, and Alum Cove Natural Bridge. There certainly were many more places to explore but we will just have to come back another time. The property manager and the caretaker were very quick to respond to our questions and give us tips about certain things in the area. Overall, a great vacation!
We wanted a rental that was away from the hustle and bustle, but located where we could make daily excursions to places like Branson, Eureka Springs, Bentonville, and Hawksbill Crag, to name a few. This place fit the bill for us perfectly. The house and property were even better than advertised. Very spacious and well stocked with all the necessities. Itâs hard to capture the beauty of the property in pictures. We enjoyed petting the horses and feeding them carrots and our dog made friends with the goat. Being able to close the gates and let our dog run and play was very nice, also. Really canât say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Mountain Majesty. Highly recommended!
What a beautiful location and home. This was our third family Thanksgiving trip (and our third location). We will be back at Mountain Majesty next year. The location is perfect. The layout of the house fit our needs. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, baking dishes, etc. The property was wonderful - lovely views from the front porch, horses and a sheep for the kids to feed, lovely place to take a walk, fireplace, fire pit. And the responsiveness of property management - spectacular!! Always a quick response, help whenever we needed it. They're great!
We had a wonderful stay. We visited Eureka Springs, Rogers, hiked to Hawksbill Craig and to the bluffs on the land. Enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the horses. A great place to relax. Loved the people we met there.
We shared this house for a friend-cation. It worked perfect for our group.
We used to every inch of this house and it was perfect!
The views from the property were perfect for early morning coffee and late evening bonfires.
This property was absolutely beautiful. It was very secluded, but located perfectly for all we wanted to do. Anywhere you stay will be a drive...just remember that.
The only bad this for us was the two twin beds perfect for young children was completely apart from the other bedrooms. Wish it would have been upstairs near the other bedroom. Other than that, the home was extremely clean and stocked with needed items. Oh and the laundry room was fabulous!!! Especially when you have to do laundry coming in from kayaking, horse riding, hiking, and wet towels. It could be a bedroom itself.
Lynda Bowers, is the owner. I enjoy traveling up the hill to our home and waving or stopping to introduce myself to our different guests. Love seeing children enjoying themselves playing outdoors and catching pollywogs in our pounds and other fun old fashion things kids used to enjoy doing.
Lynda's goal for purchasing Mountain Valley Ranch was providing a safe and peaceful place others could stay on site and relax, read, walk, watch animals and find respite in peace and quietness.
We have failed to hear one guest over the past 11 years say they wish they could hear all the sounds of cars, busy streets and loudness. NO, they say, they love the quietness and the peace provided through the sounds of natural breezes through the trees, the sound of our creeks and streams, livestock running up and down our hills and our lovely birds. Travelers love our porches with beautiful views. A time to reflect while greatly enjoying life in a quite tranquil setting.
