Fisherman's Retreat and Vacation Rental

Fully furnished two bedroom one and a half bathroom house close to Elk Creek.
Full eat-in kitchen with appliances and accessories. (refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, crock pot, cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, silverware)
Sleeps up to 6: Bedroom 1 - double bed and single bed; Bedroom 2 - two single beds; Living room - two futon couches (pulls out for a double bed)
Towels and bedding supplied.
Off street car and boat parking available.
Amenities: cable TV, wi-fi, washer, dryer, propane grill, picnic table, shared fire pit and gazebo, shared fish cleaning station

This is the larger of two units in the house. Both have separate entrances, grills and outdoor eating areas. The fire pit, gazebo and fish cleaning station are shared.

The price listed is for up to 4 guests. There is an additional charge for a 5th and 6th guest.

Great place to stay while fishing. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking, plenty of utensils for cooking meals. Host was great . As advertised.

Very nice little house with its own charming nuances. It’s a bit snug with our party of 6 but brings us closer together. The second bathroom was a great benefit from the last place we rented. Outside area is very large and the fire pit worked very well. Plenty of parking. And lastly, the owners were super great. Brenda was accessible by text or phone and brought us a new gas tank for the grill in a jiffy when we needed it. Thank you so much Brenda and Tibby. God speed.

Communication was great with the host. She showed up and introduced herself, explained a few things. Very polite and professional. Upon arrival, the place was very clean and parking was great as well. Great location for our needs for fishing.

Brenda was a great host but our only concern is that this property isn't handicap accessible. So if anyone has trouble walking up stairs this is not a property for them. The kitchen which was well stocked and nice appliances was the only room on first floor. The living area and bedrooms were upstairs. I must say though the beds were very comfortable.

This is our home away from home when we go to Erie. Always very clean, well stock, lots of aminities. Our hosts are the best. Great location for all of our fishing needs.

Old and quirky, but clean with a great host!

Brenda is the best and most thorough host we've ever had. She met us upon arrival to show us around and tell us about the quirks of an older home in a rural area. There were so many thoughtful touches like menus to local restaurants, maps, brochures, plenty of linens, a coffee bar, info about local fishing, emergency flashlights, decks of cards, a full sized washer & dryer, and even 2 frosty mugs in the freezer! The parking is convenient and spacious, and the motion activated outdoor lights provided a sense of security and ease loading and unloading the vehicle in the dark.Having the owners nearby and easily accessible offered peace of mind even though they were so thorough with the information provided that we really didn't need to reach out.The photos are a very accurate portrayal of the property. Minor notes: the shower gets chilly if anyone else uses water while you're showering and be sure to heed Brenda's warnings of the low door frame upstairs if you're tall because we each took a turn knocking our heads on it despite being told upon arrival! Overall, great stay!

Great stay at the Fisherman’s Retreat!

We had a great stay at the Fisherman’s retreat! This place is in a great location. It was very clean and had everything we wanted. The hosts were very accommodating and even worked with us when we had some issues with our booking (which was our fault). I highly recommend this property to any fisherman or just somebody wanting to enjoy Erie!

Fishing trip

Love Brenda's place! Our 2nd time staying here for a family fishing trip. Ideally located near Elk Creek and several lakeshore spots. The place was well-stocked, inside and out, for our party of 5. Brenda communicates well and responds quickly to any questions. Highly recommend!

Indian summer steelhead trip

Property was just as described and pictured. Excellent for our group of fishermen. The fish cleaning station is very nice and well stocked. We plan to stay here again. Very convenient location.

Fishing trip

The Fisherman's retreat was very clean and worked for our short stay. Brenda met us at the rental and explained everything very clearly. The unit was small but filled our needs. My only recommendation would be to get a single serve Keurig machine. The brewer was nice and we used it but it takes longer and we were in a hurry to catch our charter. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Fishman Dream

Just what we were looking for, we came with a boat ,plenty of room to park, host even helped us park , gave us a quick walk through, made sure we had everything we needed , house was clean, well stocked, and yes, even a dishwasher, hope to go back again
