Comfort close to Xcalacoco beach

Thank you Jeannette, it's great to hear that you were happy with your stay and that you'd return to our house on your next trip to Playa. You and your friends are always welcome! I would like to use this opportunity to expand on some of the things you mentioned. You were right about the deep cleaning and I apologize for that. We had one scheduled shortly after you left, but we will increase the frequency of these cleanings to prevent any of our guests finding the house in below par conditions. The regular cleaning sessions (right before the arrival of new guests) are always very thorough, but I realise we should check for the accumulation of dust behind the fridge more often, clean the windows more frequently, etc.. The musty smell that sometimes presents itself is much harder to solve unfortunately, which is why you find it almost everywhere in the area. Actually, I notice it the minute we enter the airport in Cancun and in some weird way it makes me feel at home. :) I am sure there are resorts that manage to keep the smell under control, but in the ones I have stayed at I have also encountered it in rooms/smaller spaces. Especially during the summer when humidity levels are super high. When the house has been without guests for a number of days ventilation is suffering and it builds up, but now that we have remote controlled AC's we can control humidity levels inside the house in between guests. That should help a little bit. I also agree that our house is a regular home, not a luxury accomodation, but we do strive to provide everything we can to make our guests feel comfortable and at home. Ah yes, one more thing. The house is indeed 15 minutes from downtown, but Tulum is quite a bit further away. It usually takes me about 50 minutes to get there.
