Relax and unwind on the expansive deck overlooking the water, or step down to your private sandy swim area with shallow water perfect for kids. Paddle across the lake in one of our five provided kayaks (3 adult, 2 child sizes) and explore quiet coves surrounded by the Lux Arbor Nature Preserve. As the sun sets across the lake, gather around the fire pit, roast marshmallows, and watch the colors reflect on the water—you may never want to leave!

Comfort Meets Charm

Inside, enjoy modern comforts in a freshly renovated 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage designed for up to 8 guests. The open living room features panoramic lake views on three sides, perfect for reading, movie nights, or just taking in the scenery. The fully equipped kitchen includes new appliances (with dishwasher) and a large dining table that brings everyone together. One bedroom offers a queen bed; the second has a queen plus a full-over-full bunk—ideal for families and small groups.

I needed a place to stay for a week work visit and this was perfect. Quiet and clean! The scenery from the deck was very beautiful this time of year. The host made the check in and check out simple. Would repeat if I need a place in the area again.

Crooked Lake cottage

I stayed three nights with my siblings. We were impressed with the cottage itself but particularly enjoyed the view from the deck and sitting around a cozy fire by the beach. The cottage was spotless and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely book here again on future visits to the area.

Amazingly Relaxing

We absolutely loved this beautiful cottage. We grilled out on the deck overlooking the peaceful lake and just relaxed. The owners were very professional and friendly. Highly recommend this beautiful property.

Beautiful lake vacation!

Although we had some cool, windy, and rainy days we enjoyed the comfort of this well kept cottage. Once we were on the lake, we were in the kayaks several times a day exploring this pretty lake. Love the sandy beach! Kitchen was great with any cooking implements you might need. The communications were excellent! We had a question one day and got a response within minutes! Highly recommend!

Paradise found

What an amazing week we had at this beautiful cottage. It is exactly as stated and extremely clean. There was plenty of room for our entire family. If you are looking for a place to totally escape and disconnect look no further this is it! We even rented a pontoon for the week and we were able to hook up to their dock. The family enjoyed fishing, tubing and kayaking and the separate area for the bonfire is stunning!! The hosts were so very kind and easy to deal with. Would highly recommend this beautiful piece of paradise!!

Relaxing at the Lake

We had a great time relaxing on the lake! We enjoyed renting a boat for a day, kayaking, playing in the sand, and swimming in the lake. The house was as described and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Check in and out was very easy and quick. Would recommend!

Relaxing time on the lake

This was our 2nd time staying at the house and it was just as great as the first. House is cozy and clean inside, and outside has everything you could want in a lake house. We rented a boat and spent a lot of time on the lake dueing our stay. Overall very pleasant experience from start to finsh. Thank for sharing your home with us again.

Quiet and just wan at we needed

We stayed over Labour Day weekend and spent the days kayaking and played in the lake. Our kids loved playing on the lilly pad and enjoyed the cool water. We enjoyed the boat parade as well. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Perfect place to relax and unwind

We loved everything about this cottage. The kayaks and water mat were a hit. The beds and living room furniture were comfy and perfect for watching movies. We have NO complaints about our stay. Enjoyed every minute of it. Communication with hosts was great. Beautiful views of the lake.

Great little cottage on a surprisingly quiet and relaxing lake!

The property was perfectly represented in the description and pictures. So spacious for a lake cottage! My family enjoyed our time so much there! Great view. Clean/sandy shoreline by the dock that our 6yr played in “all” day. She was catching bluegill with the net by the handful and giggling over and over again. We had our teen boys stay in the back room and they enjoyed having their “own space” without being crammed. Great communication and hospitality by the owners too! Would rent again!

Great Cabin on the Lake

This cabin was an excellent place to enjoy a variety of water activities as well as being close to other places of interest like the Gilmore Car museum. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable and had a great deck with a lake view to relax on.

Crooked Lake Extravaganza!

Our family needed a week away to unplug, play and have fun! That is what this rental provided. The hosts were great. It was super clean and the view was amazing. The fireworks were awesome and the neighbors were very friendly. We hope to come back again next year. This was an great find.

Just amazing

I can't say enough good things about the property. It was exactly as described and a near perfect week. Amazing views of the lake, comfortable inside and out, and checkin/checkout was a breeze. Fishing was excellent, especially in the evenings. We rented a pontoon boat from vacation boat rentals, which drops off at the lake and was a great experience as well. Would not hesitate to book again.

Best stay away from home we've ever had!

I absolutely loved this house. My family of 6 had to visit Michigan for a memorial service. I visit Michigan annually as its where most of my family is. We usually rent a house for our stay, but this home blew every other trip out of the water! Almost literally 😉 being directly off the lake was amazing. We had so much fun swimming and kayaking. The house and deck were spacious and comfortable. I was able to stay in one placeto have family and friends visit with us. We cooked dinner on the deck each night, and watched movies after dark. I hope to stay here again and would highly recommend to any families hoping to make great memories on the lake! Thank you so much to the hosts!!!

Great lakefront cottage

6 men from 47-72 stayed four nights, played golf three times, visited Bell’s brew pub in Kalamazoo , and did a little fishing from the dock! The cottage was very comfortable with ALL the comforts of home! If we come back to this part of Michigan we will certainly try to stay here! Joe and Sarah were great hosts and very easy to contact!
