Retraite familiale "Heure de repos"

Confortable maison familiale SANS FUMÉE, 4 chambres à coucher, 2 salles de bain au rez-de-chaussée mais avec douche intérieure, à 5 minutes à pied de la plage et à proximité des accès pour handicapés à la plage. Des douches sont disponibles à l'accès à la plage. Un parking pour voitures et voiturettes de golf est également disponible si vous le souhaitez. DOIT avoir au moins 28 ans pour louer.

La cuisine est équipée d'un réfrigérateur, d'une cuisinière / four, d'un lave-vaisselle, d'un four micro-ondes, d'un grille-pain, d'un mixeur et d'une cafetière. Le bar peut accueillir 4 personnes et la table de cuisine 6 personnes.

La tanière est équipée d'une télévision à écran plat. Internet par câble et haut débit est fourni sans frais supplémentaires.

A l’étage, la salle de bain a une baignoire avec douche. Salle de bain en bas a une douche debout. Les serviettes sont fournies pendant votre séjour.

Il y a 2 chambres à l'étage et 2 chambres au rez-de-chaussée. Une chambre à l'étage a un lit queen et une télévision à écran plat. L'autre chambre à l'étage a un lit queen et 1 lit jumeau. Une chambre en bas a également un lit queen et un lit jumeau et la dernière chambre a 2 lits jumeaux. Tous les lits ont de nouveaux matelas. Les draps sont fournis pendant votre séjour. Il y a aussi une laveuse et une sécheuse pour votre commodité.

Cette maison a été récemment mise à jour / rénovée pour inclure une nouvelle laveuse / sécheuse, réfrigérateur et lave-vaisselle. Le pont et les escaliers d'entrée ont été reconstruits. Les chaises longues sont fournies. Il y a un gril à gaz situé dans la salle de douche en bas pour vos besoins de grillades. Le gril DOIT être utilisé au rez-de-chaussée.

Ocean Isle / comté de Brunswick a de nombreux équipements, y compris le tennis, plus de 40 terrains de golf et de nombreuses options pour les coureurs, les marcheurs et les cyclistes.

We loved our time at this place! The house was clean, and only a 2-3 minute walk to the beach! They also have beach chairs and toys for all ages!

Loved the area and house was just as described. Kitchen was a little dated but it was clean and got the job done! Beds were comfy and plenty of seating in dining area and living room. Great location! Very short walk to the beach! Great family vacation spot!

Great Home Made us feel like our own house

Everything was great! They home was perfect for us. Beds and even the Couches were very comfortable. Communication with owner was A++++ house was ready and clean. Access to the beach was perfect. I highly recommend you stay here.

AWESOME ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

The house is amazing!!! We really enjoy sitting outside at night, and this place provided great areas to do that. I was a little worried about how long it would take us to walk to the beach, but when the listing says 5 minutes it is literally 5 minutes (I timed it ). Great location, short drive to shopping and entertainment. Myrtle beach attractions are not a far drive. If you want a great place to eat try Becks in Calabash.

Idle Hour stay

Overall, nice home. Mostly clean, some kids hand prints on the sliding doors. Had to kill roaches/palmetto bugs each night that were in the living room area. Excellent stock of everything & nice walking distance to beach access. Not too far from the pier/center of the island. Great number of beds.

Gosh! So sorry you had those irritating beach/water bugs to deal with. I was down to the house 2 weeks earlier to regroup it from the first group of renters and had no issues. Will fog the downstairs/exterior storage rooms as that helps tremendously. FYI- Your frying pan will be traveling home on Sunday. Will get with you to arrange pick-up.

Great home away from home!

We had a great time in Ocean Isle Beach, and completely loved this home! It was so comfortable and welcoming. The beds and furniture were wonderful and relaxing. The house is decorated beautifully, and had everything we needed for our stay. The host does not provide towels or linens, so we ordered those from a local company. When ordering towels, only get bath and beach towels... kitchen towels are provided. Melinda, our host, was wonderful to work with. She was prompt in answering questions and addressing any issues that came up during our stay. We would definitely stay here again! It is close to the beach & just about anything else you want to get to on the island. I would recommend renting a golf cart. We did, and enjoyed having it for trips to the beach, store, etc. We had a great time and can't wait to go back! Thank you again for everything, Melinda!

Great weekend getaway

Second time at Idle House. Property is clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Easy walk to beach access. Owner is very responsive and easy to work with. Will definitely be back again !!

Perfect Location

The property has anything you could need on vacation. The beach is just around the corner which is convenient. The bed are comfy and the rooms have extra twins. The kitchen has anything you need to make a home cooked meal. The tv has Netflix etc available with Riki. The only thing missing was a pool.

Great stay

We had a great stay. The house was clean and well maintained. Short walk to the beach and about a mile from shops and restaurants. House had a ton of items for beach that we used. The owner was great to work with and quickly responded to all our questions.. would definitely love to come back sometime!

The owner of this property sadly expired in 2025 at the age of 90 years old. She loved her trips to OIB. Her daughter, Melinda Kaylor Parks continues to manage this property.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

This property was built in 1985 by Joe and Doris Kaylor. It was intended for use by family and friends and has only been opened for renters for ~10 years. At the time this house was built, there were a limited number of homes on Ocean Isle Beach. There was a draw bridge that often delayed entry onto the Island due to boats passing through the sound.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This house is clean and comfortable. It has great access to the beach including the handicapped access ramp on Raeford. It is stocked with most things a renter may need. Best of all, we keep the rental fee on this house as affordable as possible. This is a personal home and not a property built as an income producer.
