The unit was adequate for the price. However the appliances (stove, toaster oven) left a lot to be desired. I planned on cooking for my wife and kid while we were there, but after the first of two nights we realized we would be ordering food for the rest of our meals. The oven was VERY old. The oven portion worked fine, but the coils on the stove were quite worn out, and it took about ten minutes to warm a pan up enough to cook anything. And even then it was not as hot as it should be. The toaster oven looked like it came out of the 80’s and we chose not to use it. Luckily there was a microwave that worked fine. It was a warm weekend for the coast and there was no fan in the unit so it got pretty hot in there during the day but it was manageable. Also the only bedroom had a large window facing the lighted walkway and no curtains, just old mini blinds so we had to improvise some window coverings to ensure our toddler was able to sleep in there. Over all the stay was fine, but I don’t know if I would recommend it to anyone.

Our stay was really great. Pros: Easy access to Gearhart Beach. Right across the street from McMenamins. Plenty of parking. Fairly spacious unit. Full kitchen. Easy access to Seaside.Cons: The facility was pretty dated.

Gearhart

We had a great stay at Gearhart by the Sea. Would love to come back another time, but would like to stay in a condo that is a bit more updated. Bathroom sink was very low and hard to manage. But over all we had a good time and the place was clean and tidy. Thanks.

Close to the beach

This unit as well as others are very old and dated. It has all of the necessities one needs, just know that upfront. Complaint would be this: internet is virtually non existent. Even when sitting by the modem it was spotty. But if you want access to the beach then all of Gearhart by the Sea units will suffice.

Close to beach

Condo is in great location within walking distance to the beach but it’s very outdated. The beds were not comfortable and there were dirty dishes in the cabinets. Early check in was not allowed and I didn’t have an access to workout room.

Perfect base for adventure

This was perfect for our family to have a quick getaway and adventures agate hunting. Wish we had had more time-the Pool was a wonderful evening activity after being out and about and the little kitchen had everything we needed to fuel our fun.

Our stay

When we Checked in and got our room we walked inside and there was hard seltzer cans in the garbage already which is weird because if the room was clean/sanitized after the last person there shouldn't be any sort of garbage in the cans Nor do my boyfriend & I drink. The whole condo smelt TERRIBLE, so we had to go get some cleaning supplies and air fresheners and clean evrythjng ourself and make It smell better in there as the smell literally was making us sick and giving us headaches, the Wi-Fi wasn't strong enough to even use our device We brought with us to be able to stream our tv shows as we aren't use to cable cuz we don't have it back at home, other then that everything was good and the room was as described.

The condo was bigger then the pictures looked, and had plenty of seating & dishes. We were very happy they let us have my moms companion dog at the last minute. They were extremely easy to work with. 3 small things: 1) there was no book to let us know what check out procedure was, the garbage location, etc.... 2) there were no extra trash bags. 3) with a 4 person occupancy, there were no linens for the pull out couch! Which, of course!, wasn't discovered until we were ready to use them! All problems were fixed promptly with a phone call. Overall, it was excellent and suited our purpose to a T!

Nice place, could use updating

We liked the location, it's close to Seaside but away from the traffic that Seaside has. Overall we liked the rental, but were disappointed with the many large spots on the carpet, and low quality toilet paper, etc.

Great location

Great location just north me of seaside. Well decorated and clean and like that it was quiet and near golf course/sand trap restaurant. Highly recommend
