Birdsong Cottage est en retrait derrière le 114 W. Maison principale de West St et accessible par une porte de jardin latérale et un chemin.

Le chalet est idéalement situé au cœur de Southport historique - à une courte distance de marche de tous les antiquaires pittoresques, des boutiques chics et des restaurants et bars de fruits de mer au bord du fleuve.

Les plages d'Oak Island sont à 10 minutes. Bald Head Island et les plages de Pleasure Island: Carolina Beach, Kure Beach et Fort Fisher sont à seulement 20 minutes en ferry de Southport. Le ferry est à 6 minutes du chalet.

A great location to walk to most places in town. It was a lovely cottage in the back of the owner’s property with lots of privacy. I felt at home and she left a lovely welcome gift in the frig with wine and cheese snack from a local shop. I will definitely be back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Birdsong Cottage. I parked my car and then didn't have to worry about for two days. The property is just a couple blocks from downtown and I was able to walk to shops and restaurants. It is very quiet and secluded. The bottle of wine and the charcuterie plate was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place.

The cottage was charming. Tucked behind the main house, on a wooded lot. The cottage decor was very nice. The home was within walking distance of restaurants, boutiques and shops. The Hosts were amazing. We found a lovely welcome basket with a charcuterie board from the local cheese shop and delicious bottle of wine. The bed was comfortable and the cottage was supplied with anything you need.

This was our second lovely stay at the cottage. Kelly is a great hostess and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived! The cottage is clean and cozy- the location is in walking (and biking) distance to all the places we love in Southport. We also enjoyed sitting in the garden area and listening to music from a nearby venue. All in all the perfect way to experience Southport!

Outstanding !! So clean and convienent! It was so “homey” and the gift basket of wine and cheese from the Southport cheese shop was so sweet. Just a block from downtown Southport-we could and did walk everywhere. We will definitely be staying here again!!! I hope soon.

Kelly and Robert chose Southport, NC as their new home after living and working together in the charter yacht vacation industry in the US Virgin Islands for 20 plus years.  Robert was born and raised in East Lansing, Michigan before moving to Denver, CO and eventually the US Virgin Islands. Kelly grew up in Bernardsville, NJ, then lived in Philadelphia for 10 years before making the USVI her home. The two were married (first marriages for both) in Southport in 2016. 

Captain Robert holds a USCG 100 ton license and is Padi Dive Master. If you would like to go boating for a day...talk to Robert! He works currently as a relief captain on the Bald Head Island Ferry, so he can offer you recommendations about a BHI excursion as well.

Kelly is a Licensed Real Estate Broker with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage in Southport. She also runs a successful real estate investment company, buying and rehabbing historic properties around Southport. If you are interested in looking at any property while you are in the area, Kelly will be happy to show you around!
