Lambert's Cove Bog House

Construit Ă  l'origine en 1890 pour accueillir les offres de la tourbiĂšre Ă  canneberges du pays, ce pittoresque petit chalet a Ă©tĂ© transformĂ© en maison toute l'annĂ©e en 1980. Il se trouve sur 3/4 d'acre de bois isolĂ© et a son propre chemin vers la section privĂ©e de Lambert's Cove Beach - une promenade de 4 minutes vous amĂšne Ă  la crĂȘte surplombant le sable et le son de Vineyard au-delĂ . La maison elle-mĂȘme est charmante et lumineuse, pleine de dĂ©tails rustiques et de finitions personnalisĂ©es. Cuisine bien Ă©quipĂ©e, salon confortable avec lit de repos, poĂȘle Ă  bois, terrasse semi-enveloppante avec barbecue au charbon de bois et douche extĂ©rieure; Tout ce que vous entendrez, ce sont les sons de la nature et les vagues qui s’écrasent au loin. À l'Ă©tage, vous trouverez deux chambres, une avec un lit double et une avec deux lits jumeaux, un grand placard et une salle de bain bien Ă©quipĂ©e. Nous sommes impatients de vous accueillir chez vous!

This place is a gem. It is quite small, but lovingly designed and super cozy. The location is incredible - a beautiful three minute walk through the woods to one of the most magical beaches on the island.

Great beach

The house is quaint and rustic - the peace a quiet was incredible- and the walk to the beach and then the view from the top of the hill is the best I have ever seen on MV!

A cabin in the woods with a 3 minute walk through the forest leading to one of the loveliest beaches on the island - can't beat it with a stick!

A magical spot

This charming cottage has everything you need for a seaside getaway. The wooded path leading to Lambert's Cove is a definite bonus.

Beautiful cottage

This is our third year staying at our favorite cottage on the Vineyard. Clean, cozy and yards from one of the most beautiful beaches in New England. We hope to return for many years to come!

Always magical!

Love this rustic house so much- we are regular renters and just love The Bog House and Lambert’s Cove beach. Early morning walks, sunsets and stargazing make it a perfect getaway!

Cozy cottage with amazing beach access

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage in the woods. The kitchen is fully equipped except for a microwave and the gas grill works perfectly. The bed was soft, but comfortable. The best part was that you're nestled in nature with private access to Lambert's Cove Beach. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway!

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our time at the cottage! This is a spectacular location with the very short walk down a wooded path to the beach at Lambert's Cove. It was a nice location for food and shopping at Vineyard Haven and visiting our friends in Chilmark. I recommend you arrive during daylight hours as we did - I think it might be tough to find the place for the first time at night. Also, the size of the cottage is perfect for a couple but would work well with one or two small children in the smaller bedroom. Recommended!

Great beach access, but no reading inside

Easy access to a great beach is biggest attribute! We loved it, but we had good weather. But there is no comfortable place to sit inside and only central lights hanging from ceiling; no good for reading. Details: No microwave as listed; good A/C not listed; no directions for TV, so no local news/weather available; smoke detectors removed; no departure instructions for laundry or trash. Seems like the listing has been coasting on beach access, w/o attention to some details. But we had a great time at the beach!

Cozy Getaway in a Wonderful Spot

This simple house in the middle of a secluded property is just what our family wanted for a peaceful getaway. Walk to a stunning beach; take a quick drive to unforgettable hikes; enjoy the quiet of the house and woods. Lambert's Cove is a great location in and of itself and a great starting point for exploring all of Martha's Vineyard.

Perfect Vineyard Escape

Perfect rustic get away - private path to the best beach

I’ve reviewed before- we keep coming back to Bog House because it’s the perfect get away, provides best of both worlds- cool shady yard with easy access to sunny beautiful beach. Rustic charming and has everything you need for a traditional MV weekend.

Perfect beach getaway

Our family loves this compact cottage by the sea. This is our second summer and we have already booked for next year. The Bog House comes with everything you need for a great stay Our family of four was comfortable and we loved being able to walk (3 minutes) to the best beach on the Vineyard - Lambert's Cove. The owners are responsive to questions, the cottage clean, and again, the easy access to the beach is the best. We can't wait to stay again.

Charming Cottage
