Thanks for all your input Elaine, both directly via text and here on the site! As we discussed, this is the first time in 10yrs of working with our cleaning crew that they missed the correct date. I'm really glad that they could get over there so quickly to rectify. Very sorry for that though. As for the TLC line items, I totally agree! I'm inspecting the hinge on the door in two days. Not sure when it became damaged, but could also be just wear and tear. The water mark on the ceiling must have been an overflow at some point as well, although I would need to correct that in the off-season since it is too busy during the summer to get someone in there to inspect the plumbing and do any major work (or simply repaint if it was isolated). The doorknob is also an off-season item as well, since I would have to remove the entire door. My friends built this house with their dad and did all the woodwork (including the doors), which I absolutely love, but it means more is involved with repairs rather than just getting a replacement part at Home Depot. In fact, there was damage to the screen door which I brought in for repair in June and I'll only be picking it up next week! The island gets so swamped during the high season, repairs take quite a long time, so most of it needs to be during less busy times. I haven't heard any further input about the flickering light, although perhaps the cleaning crew just replaced the light bulb and that did the trick. Again, thanks so much and be well!
