Great Views and Quite

The house was as expected. Continuous service from the management team. Very easy to check in and out. The location was perfect for some quiet time with family on the beach.

Quiet neighborhood and easy beach access

Property was ideal for family with teenagers. Guest room above garage allowed them to stay up late and not disturb. Easy location just across bridge and direct beach access.

Beautiful home on the beach

Thank you for sharing your home! It was what we expected and more- loved being just steps from the beach and being able to watch the waves from the deck. Great restaurants in nearby Morehead City and on Atlantic Beach. Highly recommend your place!

Family vacation with First Grandchild

Everything was exactly what we expected and will definitely want to stay here again. We felt like we were the only family on our own private little island. It was perfect for what we were looking for. The house made us feel like we were staying in a Nicholas Sparks movie home. Absolutely beautiful!!!!!

perfect ocean escape

Absolutely loved the location, the beach, the home..so tasteful and well done to be upscale yet comfortable..nothing was missing though I was the only person with my beloved dog so perhaps a large family would have a different review...it suited my needs in all ways... so appreciate being able to bring my dog along to such a nice place...many beach homes that are this nice do not allow dogs, sadly...again, many thanks for a terrific stay

Nice place but needs a few updates

The house itself is beautiful. Overall, this is very nice place to stay and communication with the owner and VRBO is great. The location is perfect, close to grocery stores and Mc Donald's and restaurants. The house is located in a private beach community and perfect for the family vacation. The only issues, for us were, the furniture needs to be deep cleaned or updated, and the kitchen utensils, pots and pans and bowls, plates are a hodge podge of whatever and very used. If none of that is a concern, then this is the perfect house for a family vacation.

Beds and pillows

Hello! The only downside of this stay was the queen master bed size (room for a king) and the mattress and pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Other than that the house and stay was good, easy.

Beach Reunion

Our family of six adults and two children had a wonderful time at this lovely house on the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed and the descriptions were accurate. Our questions were answered quickly by sweet Mary as well. I would like to recommend a new hose outside as well as anchoring the dish washer. This vacation was a reunion after 17 months of separation and this house was the perfect place for it!!

Amazing views

The ocean views are amazing, and a short walk to beach. Great sunrise and sunsets- best thing about the property. Amenities weren’t so great and not well thought through for renting the property. The mattresses on both beds were really worn out and sagging; not comfortable for sleeping. The bunk room mattresses were new, however there aren’t rails all the way around the bunk beds, so not safe for children to sleep on. The guest house was cute, but doorknob broke and not functioning- our child got stuck because of broken knob and took an hour to get out. No outlets close to kitchen counter to plug appliances, so difficult to use coffee maker/toaster. Upstairs bathroom smelled bad- like old cigarettes. Rained one day and doors leaked from outside and water came in- seemed like house wasn’t well maintained for the additional “fees” that were paid- House was advertised as less than $400/night- but the overall rental was more than double that. Should advertise better about pricing- and house didn’t meet expectations for the overall price. Again, views were wonderful- rest of house not worth it for the price.

We went with our family with 3 small children (including two under 1). The house was wonderful and we had a fantastic time. Amazing location and a beautiful home. We would love to go back.

Amazing beachfront location

We had an amazing stay at the house. Couldn't ask for a better location with easy access to the beach and great views of the ocean. The living room had tons of seating and the kitchen was easy to cook in. Everything was clean and ready for us as check in. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a house right on the water for a relaxing trip.

Wonderful!

This home is in a beautiful location on the water. We had family from ages 12 to 79 and all had a wonderful time. Restaurants close by if you wish but a well stocked kitchen made cooking quite easy. We look forward to going back!

Peaceful & relaxing vacation at Shearwater!

First time staying in Atlantic Beach. Had an awesome vacation. This home was beautiful and in a beautiful location. Very peaceful and relaxing stay. Already looking forward to going back and ready to book this home again.

Great place.

The place was beautiful and well maintained. Our only complaint is to have some sort of walk way on the sand to the beach. It was not easy for my 75 yr old mother to get through the sand and up the dune. I've seen inexpensive options that work really well. Overall, well stocked and we loved Atlantic Beach area. If you like good cuisine you MUST eat at Table 9. Expensive, but VERY good food. Also highly recommend taking 15 minute drive to Beaufort. little shops and restaurants on the water. We also picked up our schedule boat for parasailing in the marina. We've been to Emerald Isle, Myrtle Beach, Corolla, Duck, Topsail and Nags Head.... Atlantic Beach is our favorite mix because of places to eat and things to do near by and of course a beautiful beach that we had all to ourself.

Very nice home with great location- beach is not As crowded as other areas. There was plenty of space - we had our adult children and 2 dogs. The only negatives- Would have been much more comfortable with a king sized bed in one of the master bedrooms and nicer sheets (theirs are very rough) also they should have a table with chairs for the deck to be able to eat outside for a home of this quality.
