La ferme à la ferme de Lucky Loop Hollow

The Farm House est une maison du début du siècle située dans une ferme en activité de 360 acres, à seulement 18 km de Monterey sur la route 84 dans la magnifique ville de Mill Gap. Les clients bénéficient d'une vue panoramique depuis deux porches, de sentiers pédestres, de la vie à la ferme, d'une faune abondante et d'un ciel nocturne magnifique. Les attractions préférées dans la région de Mill Gap incluent: Big Fish Cidery, la zone de loisirs de Dominion Power, Cass Railroad, la station de ski Snowshoe, l’observatoire national de la radio Green Bank, le champ de bataille de McDowell et le Mansion House Historic Museum.


La maison de ferme dispose de cinq chambres et peut accueillir 12 personnes, la chambre au premier étage a un lit queen et une demi-bain attaché. Quatre chambres sont situées au deuxième étage; un lit queen, un lit double, une grande chambre avec un lit double et 2 lits jumeaux et une chambre avec 2 lits jumeaux. Deux salles de bain complètes sont situées au deuxième étage.

Il y a une abondance d’espaces repas dans la maison de ferme, dans la cuisine, la salle à manger et le porche. La cuisine est équipée d'une cuisinière à gaz, d'un lave-vaisselle et d'un four micro-ondes. Une laveuse et une sécheuse sont logés dans le vestiaire. Le salon est équipé d'une télévision et d'un magnétoscope / lecteur DVD. La télévision réseau n'est pas disponible pour le moment. Une bibliothèque de cassettes vidéo et de DVD se trouve dans la chambre à l'étage, avec des livres, des jeux, des casse-tête et des jouets.

Great place with country view!

Love the farmhouse! Very organized and great service from owners. Close to Monterey with plenty of beds for our crowd. Would most definitely recommend and stay here again.

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. We went for some skiing at Snowshoe and some relaxation time. Its about 45mins-1hr to the slops, but not a bad drive at all. Our host was very helpful and I would highly recommend a visit here to anyone

Great family get away

Great 100+ year old farm house with many comfortable bedrooms, a highly functional kitchen with pots and pans in very good shape (a rarity unfortunately in our experience), and beautiful views. We will definitely come back as it is well located for our interests in hiking, mountain biking, astronomy, kayaking, skiing and caving.

This was an idea location for us. Very peaceful and great view on the hill. Owner came by to say hi and was very polite and offered any assistance. Definitely will stay here again

Absolutely stunning farmhouse with picturesque views! The house was clean, family friendly with lots of toys, and an amazing yard to play in. The owners were so welcoming and open to any questions or concerns we had. My family will definitely be back to visit!

Great weekend stay

We spent a long weekend and had a great time! The house was exactly as expected, cozy, plenty of space, had all the amenities needed. The views off the porch and walking through the property, were just amazing. Communication with Marty was easy and always very timely. We hope to return again sometime to enjoy another weekend away. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area with family or friends.

We love Lucky Loop Farm

It was our second time staying at Marty's farmhouse and we hope it won't be our last. So peaceful with beauty all around. Marty is a kind and thoughtful host. She let us linger a bit longer and we were so thankful as it is hard to leave Luckt Loop. Thank you, Maryy!!

Thanksgiving on the farm

We had a wonderful stay in the old farmhouse! We even got snow!!! Rodney and Marty could not have been nicer, and very responsive when we had questions. We got to hike out to see the cows! The kitchen was perfect for cooking our thanksgiving meal with plenty of space for all the cooks! There were games and books for the kids so they were happy too! Thanks for a perfect holiday!

End 2023 and start 2024 ski/snowboard trip

The property was beautiful and this is a farm house. Everything looks original and was a nice place to end our year and start a new one. We stayed with friends and enjoyed the trails and animals on the property. The town stores were cute and everyone was very friendly. We brought the kids to ski/snowboard at snowshoe WV about an hour away. Would definitely recommend this cute farm house for a great getaway.

Amazing Farmhouse

We loved the house/property, it exceeded our expectations! We took day trips to the Warm Springs pools, Homestead, and skiing at Snowshoe. House was super cozy for two families, and the kids room was a big hit. Would bring a cast iron pan next time. Had a lovely walk around the property on our departure day, such a dreamy Highland County spot!

Great spot!

We had a great weekend! The house was clean and well kept. There were plenty of beds, games, books, movies and firewood for the firepit in the yard. There was more than enough room for the kids to run around in the huge yard. There were 5 of us but the house could easily handle a group teice that size. Martha had everything ready for us when we arrived. It was great, highly recommend!

Idyllic country outpost

This part of the world is a cyclist's paradise--beautiful countryside, numerous route choices (both paved and gravel), flat and/or hilly, and no traffic. And this was a perfect place for our group of nine--plenty of space to spread out in, a table big enough for all of us, a big well-appointed kitchen, lots of hot water--everything we needed for a perfect vacation. Well. except the weather could have been more cooperative..... Thanks o much for opening your home to us.

The change in scenery we needed

The booking process was a little hairy starting out. Lodging in the area was booking up every time I refreshed my airbnb and vrbo pages. Then I found this place, what a relief! Booked immediately! But wait, there’s a catch…. I have to wait for the host to approve my stay. So lodging was still not secured. I had to book a second property and pay for cancellation should Marty approve us, and thankfully she did! (Sorry to the second property I booked and cancelled) This property is located in beautiful rural Va, near snowshoe and the WV line. The house was equipped with blankets, towels, toys for the kids, and even body wash! We took our own propane because sometimes they are full at these locations, sometimes they are empty and grilled, grilled, grilled! The house is beautiful. The scenery is beautiful. Being from the WV mountains, the extended views of the farmland really made us feel like we could get a breath of fresh air. You will not regret this stay

Picturesque Vacation

So Charming!!

Our stay at the farmhouse was absolutely wonderful! Breathtaking views in every direction, and complete peace and serenity away from the hustle and bustle of life we’re exactly what we all needed! Love the history of the house, and the owners accommodated our every need! Can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing Farmhouse!

The farmhouse was excellent. Beautiful hardwood floors and wood interior wall coverings. Wifi available on site. Kids enjoyed movies and games provided on site. We went for the Maple Festival and had an ideal location for visiting several sugar camps and vendors. We were there during a late snow storm with sub- zero wind chill and the propane and electric heaters kept the house comfortable. The owner was very nice and showed us to the new lamb triplets that were born just before our arrival. We enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast that they left in the fridge for us and they even provided Maple Festival maps with hand written tips for optimal enjoyment. Adequately stocked with supplies and kitchen appliances. Overall great experience!

Family and skiing

Comfortably housed our extended family for the long Presidents’ Day weekend. We were only an hour from snowshoe mountain so we enjoyed a day on the slopes and a day on the farm.

Everything Provided

My family got together for the first time since the pandemic started. We were so happy to be together in this farm that had a warm folksy feel. My daughter said, “It felt like home.” We well we’ll prepared for what to expect because Marty was very detailed in her instructions. We had everything we needed: comfortable beds, pots and pans for cooking, and toys galore for all ages of kids. We enjoyed the fire pit outside and even had marshmallow sticks provided in the barn for the guests. The instructions for everything were written out, but some dummies like me didn’t think to read them (like operating the microwave!)

Peaceful getaway

Great home tucked away in a beautiful, quiet setting. A nice place to get away from it all while still being within an hour of snowshoe or other attractions. Our girls loved exploring the property and loved their visits from Banjo (hosts dog). The Leech's were the absolute best hosts. Very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this rental.

Memorable Stay!

We had an amazing time at Marty's. She's been a host for at least 10 years. She knows her stuff. We were three families with little ones and we fit comfortably. The pictures don't do this place justice. It's so much nicer. The views, the fresh air and the peacefulness was so refreshing. She had a binder for info regarding the area. We visited a couple of the recommended sites. They were all very unique and interesting to visit for us city kids and they were free!
