We are already looking forward to our next visit to Black Mountain and plan to stay with Intown Cottages. The home is perfectly located and well appointed. It’s comfortable and has wonderful amenities. The hosts were wonderful communicators and very welcoming!

Excellent Location

Wonderful place to stay within minutes of so many unique local places to visit. The rental was clean with nice furniture and several amenities to add to it's comfort. Additionally, it's a very reasonable drive to visit Asheville, Hendersonville, or take a hike up Catawba Falls. We had such a great time taking in the area... so much to keep you busy or relax at your own pace.

Beautiful location in a wonderful town

This house was wonderful, everything was comfortable and clean, almost like staying at a private hotel. The hot tub was amazing. And I love Black Mountain so much, I highly recommend spending a few days there.

Convenient location with great amenities

Cute house (duplex) with a smart layout and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Comfortable beds, pillows, linens, towels, starter coffee. We loved relaxing in the hot tub enjoying the stars after a day of hiking.

SECOND trip to the cottage

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Weekend trip before camp drop-off

We stayed at one of the cottages the weekend before dropping our kids off at camp. The place was clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. Would recommend it for anyone visiting the Black Mountain/Asheville area

The perfect find!

This townhouse is a gem! It's lovely, clean, beautifully appointed, comfortable, and even has views of the mountains...not to mention the amazing location right in town and close to everything! Chris is no-doubt the best host we've ever had: organized, responsive, and helpful with great, detailed recommendations about the area. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Wonderful In Town Retreat

Great location - so close to everything. But the cabin was so thoughtfully equipped and designed that it was hard to leave. This was not just a place to sleep after daily adventures
it was a home that allowed you to relax and recharge. Highly recommend. I miss it already.

Family getaway

Fantastic stay - Very happy with the overall experience with a toddler. The house included all things and was equipped with directions which made navigating the house and area easy. Plenty to do locally with some incredible hiking near by. Hot tub was probably the nicest I have ever experienced at a rental. Having a little one, the gate on the stairs was a nice touch! Thank you Chris for being a great host! I can tell you take pride in your home and want the best experience for your guests. Scott

Perfect weekend get-a-way

From the moment we walked into the cottage, it was a perfect place. Very clean, great communication with Chris, great location, ample supply of coffee and tea. The bed was SOOOO comfortable!! We could hear music from The Railyard on our upstairs deck. There were guests staying in the other half of the unit, but we never heard them. The ONLY negative thing was that there was no icemaker ( just a few ice trays). We DEFINITELY plan in a return visit! Black Mountain has so much to offer!! 😊

Would love to return!

This property is the perfect vacation rental. The owner literally thought of everything. The location couldn’t be any better. The most delicious pizza place is a 2 minute walk and the delicious South African restaurant played great music and had great food as well. We are so happy we stayed here and hope we can return again and stay in the same vacation rental, it was just that perfect. We loved coming home in the afternoons to the hot tub with the Mountain View. Drinking our coffee on the upstairs balcony was dreamy. The beds and linens were very soft. Kitchen was well equipped, even with spices. There was a great welcome basket with goodies. Just a lovely place and a great time.

Fantastic Location, would highly recommend!!

This rental town home in the heart of Black Mountain downtown area was amazing. True attention to detail in this property. We noticed as soon as we arrived it was perfect for our little getaway for a baseball tournament for our 10 year old. The owner thought of everything in this listing. There was even an awesome welcome basket sitting on the counter. Comfortable beds, clean, and all the amenities you could want and need. Wifi worked great and the Tvs we hooked to gaming systems for the boys. They had board games, a hot tub to unwind in and even the sauna was a pleasant touch. Trust us, if you need a reasonably priced 2 bedroom in downtown area of Black Mountain... This one is it. Stop your searching. Thank you Chris for the great property!

Best in Black Mountain

My wife and I stayed for a much needed getaway and Chris’ listing is exactly as pictured! (If not better!!) Everything was more than thought through and anything we needed was there on the property (blankets, games, soaps, etc.). Location was great and you can walk to everything! The closest things to walk to are Bush, The Railyard, and the other direction was Fresh Pizza & Lookout Brewing. All amenities are here and the sauna and hot tub were absolutely amazing after days walking around Black Mountain, Asheville, and the Biltmore! We also enjoyed the mountain views each morning on the deck upstairs right off the bedroom. There are other properties there together in the complex but we didn’t hear anyone else and felt everything was very private even though other families were staying close. All in all we would absolutely stay here again and enjoyed every second!!

Mountain Views and perfect place

Loved our stay here! All was smooth checking in. Super clean and location was great! Yes- the road gets busy so I thought it was great that Chris explains this upfront. Very walkable to the downtown!!! Parking was ample and the outside area and hot tub was so nice. The beds were sooo comfortable. It was great having a washer and dryer as well. We got lucky and actually saw a Momma black bear and cub! It was wonderful to arrive with some bottles of cold water in the refrigerator also! And fresh coffee in the morning!! Thank you!!

Would stay again!

Myself, my husband and our two kids (two and under) really enjoyed our stay! Chris’ communication was great. The house has everything you could need and is truly walking distance to everything in downtown black mountain! It is small but managed to fit two pack n plays with no issue! Overall we have no complaints and look forward to coming back sometime.

Location:

★ 2 block walk to the center of Intown Black Mountain (shops, boutiques, restaurants, museums, galleries, and breweries)
★ Across the street from popular day spa “Black Mountain Massage & Wellness”
★ 10 minutes to Lookout Trailhead and pristine Pisgah National Forest trails
★ 10 minutes to Kitizuma trailhead, one of the Southeast’s premiere mountain biking single track trails.
★ 20 minutes to White Water Rafting & Kayaking
★ 20 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway
★ 1.5 hour to Mount Mitchel, the highest mountain range this side of the Missisippi.
★ 50 minutes to Wolf Laurel Ski Resort.
★ 20 minutes to DT Asheville/the Biltmore Estate (14.6 miles).

From the outdoor hot tub deck you can see portions of the Blue Ridge Parkway, which will take you to MT Mitchell, (at 6,684' it's the highest and most visited peak on the east coast) in roughly a 1.5 hour trip
one of the most breath-taking and unforgettable drives on the eastern seaboard.

PETS:

1. FOR NON-PET GUESTS concerned about possible past evidence of pets or hypoallergenic questions:

Our cleaning crew is second to none and is one of the reasons we maintain a 5 star rating. We have meticulously high cleaning standards, so pet hair, dander, or pet odor, is not an option here. But, for those with pet allergies, this is not one of our hypoallergenic listings.

2. FOR PET GUESTS...We’re a dogs only listing with a 1 dog, 80 lb limit for the $75 pet fee.

If Fido is crate trained (and does not bark while crated), it is fine to leave the pet crated and unattended. But at no time is the pet to be left unattended if it is not crated. So please don’t risk leaving the pet alone if he’s not trained to refrain from barking. This is a townhome, so unfortunately, if a neighbor calls and complains that the pet next door is barking uninterrupted, then the pet will have to be kenneled. We enforce this. Thank you for your consideration.

If Fido is an escape artist or a barker, this is not the best listing for your pet.
