Lake Shack - unité inférieure. Le Lake Shack est l'une des propriétés les plus uniques au bord du lac sur le lac. Vous ne pouvez pas vous rapprocher de l'eau beaucoup plus que cela! Cette propriété a accès à l'eau toute l'année car elle se trouve sur le canal en eau profonde du lac travis. Ceci est l'unité de niveau inférieur - entrée séparée, patio / cour séparé. Unité à l'étage utilisée également comme location de vacances - à venir bientôt. L'unité dispose de 2 places de stationnement en tandem dans l'allée. 1 lit / 1 salle de bain pour 4 personnes: Chambre: 1 très grand lit. Salon - 2 lits jumeaux (gigogne gigogne). Plage de sable privée, chemin plat jusqu'à l'eau. Passez du temps sur votre terrasse pour faire des grillades et profiter de la vue ou au bord de l'eau pour bronzer et nager dans la belle eau des Caraïbes du lac travis. Stay at the Lake

We really enjoyed our stay. The place is clean with a great patio. The dock is large and our kids loved the Lily pad and kayaks. The area is awesome. Deer everywhere and our kids loved hiking at Lakeway and the Hamilton Greenbelt. The host provides a great online guide to nearby activities and restaurants that was very helpful!

Great Getaway!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Lake Shack! The guide provided is great - read it! :-) We enjoyed our time on the dock and kayaking and while fishing was not lucrative for us, it was still fun trying. We love the outside set up - amazing for morning coffee and playing family games and just sitting and relaxing day and night. Plenty of things to do in the area if you want to "get away from the house" - however, it's easy to not want to leave! The Lake Shack is definitely on our list of stays we'd like to do again!

Lake Vacation

The rental was a great set-up for our family, had plenty of space and comforts for all, was clean, had everything we needed. The location was great for stores, restaurants and some great hikes. Rental had great access to the lake and a private dock with roof so not even the rain could spoil our fishing. If our family go to Lake Travis again this VRBO will be the first one we will check for availability, so glad we found it.

Excellent Getaway

We had such a great time at the lake! Everything was just as it is presented in the listing. We were impressed with how clean the place was, the beautiful outdoor areas, the opportunities for water fun, and especially the personalize touches like the chalk note and the turkey accessories for Thanksgiving! This property is relaxing, beautiful, and has everything we were looking for. Thank you so much! The guidebook was incredibly useful and we used it to pick all of our restaurants! We will definitely be back!

Spring Break on the Lake

Surpassed expectations. Welcome sna ks and music on the patio were very nice touch. Enjoyed paddling around the lake and lounging on the patio. Area parks and restaurants were fabulous as well. Picky about beds and those were perfect as well. Favorite location so far. Hope to be back soon. Didn't think we were gonna get our dog back in the car to go home.

Birthday weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. We went hiking at Pedernales and McKinney state park. We also enjoyed a day at the Capitol. I have 2 dogs. They loved it all!!! There is so much space for them to run around outside. Jenelle was also sweet enough to leave some goodies for us for my birthday. We hope to be back in the future. Definitely recommend her home.

Beach no able to use

Beach had trash in it ,beer cans etc. People up stairs party and loud. Not relaxing at all so we left 2 days early but still had to pay for it

Perfect Memorial Day weekend stay

We had a wonderful stay over the Memorial Day holiday weekend with two adults, three kids (13,11,4) and two big dogs. The house is like two apartments in one - one downstairs and one downstairs. Jenelle, the host, was amazing - we had a welcome package with chips and salsa, snacks, drinks - a special note for us on the chalk board and she had already anticipated the life jackets we would need. The house has a large, expansive balcony with BBQ grill and seating, and gates to keep the dogs enclosed. House is unique in that it has its own "beach" area, unlike other houses on the lake that are on steep cliffs. We rented a boat and went on a guided fishing trip, and both were able to just pick us up in our cove. Even with the lake pretty low these days, adults and kids had lots of fun on the water, kayaking, jumping on the splash pad, fishing, etc! Will definitely consider staying there again if we head up for a lake weekend.

Lake Travis Stay

While the neighborhood was great (close to hiking, grocery, food), the house was not as perfect as we had envisioned. The property manager/owner was very responsive, but it was hard to address some of our challenges. We are a family of 5 with small children, and it was not clear from the posting that the units were separated with an outdoor staircase, which was not ideal for needing the 3 bedrooms to be connected. The unit seemed OK, but cleanliness was lacking. The bedding had a lot of hair on it (perhaps from a dog?), the outdoor patio was very dirty (with abandoned equipment in the middle of it), the life jackets were covered in spider nests, and the hot water had an upper temperature limit set (which wasn't very comfortable). Some of the photos picture the lake water coming close to the property, but the Lake has not been that high in 3 years. The dock/water area had a lot of cables and piping around that were a bit challenging to navigate. With some TLC, this property could be really great for adult vacations.

Great communication with property owner!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. The inside was very clean and organized. Plenty of water activities for the kids. The property is super pet friendly and our fur babies enjoyed being able to play in the gated backyard. A few things did strike us immediately as inaccurate. The water level in the pictures is not as high as portrayed. We had to walk a distance to get down to water level. Also the freeze must have done a number on the palm trees as they were no longer green and tropical. :( The outdoor patio area could have used a quick clean before we arrived. It was quite filthy and we had to clean ourselves. We also had a slight plumbing issue with the shower downstairs but the homeowner was quick to respond. Overall this was a good stay considering the rainy weekend.

Thank you for the review! We note in our listing description that the lake level varies as well as include some photos with the lake level height, however we will try and make this clearer and update our photos more often. The property is lucky to be gently sloping and not 100ft+ cliffs like most of lake travis, so when the water does go down the yard just gets larger. We do have some beautiful trees that shade the patio and the cleaning ladies do blow and wipe the patio countertops under the pavilion before every arrival. We are sorry you may have found it slightly dirty as weather and wind the day of arrival can influence the amount of constant tree droppings.

We are already talking about our return to this house. We LOVED it. As a family of five, this was perfect. Our 3 children, 16, 12, &10, stayed in the upstairs area, while my husband and I stayed in the lower area. As people mentioned, the staircase between the two was outside, but it worked out great. Both areas have a kitchen so it would have been easy to stay independently of the other area but we chose to go back and forth. The view is magical and the house is located on a great part of the lake. We rented a boat and he was easily able to pick us up on the dock. I would be remiss not to mention the fantastic dock too! There is a Lilly pad, chairs, and it’s easy to get to from the house. Also, the grounds were perfect for our dogs to run around. Everything is gated so we never worried about them getting out. We spent an entire day sitting around the patio and dock. It was truly magical. In our entire stay, there was a single issue (that had nothing to do with owners), but they sent someone out anyway and it was fixed within an hour. I was confirming with them that the dock was accessible and they sent someone to confirm it was close enough to the shore. I appreciate this because they didn’t have to do it but they did anyway. I have no doubt here that if you need anything while you are staying at the “Shack” the owners are quick to help. We are looking forward to being back!

Amazing Lake House

This was the perfect location to stay on the lake and a very safe neighborhood. The outdoor patio was our favorite part of this rental. The owner has a Jenga set there that we all enjoyed playing! Jenelle provides a guide book that is very helpful. The view was also amazing and how the house is two separate apartments was perfect to bring along friends or kids. We will definitely be back in near future!

What a great view & back patio setup!

The lakeshack is a great casual staycation spot! The convenience of everything for the outdoor space makes it very comfortable and not missing out on a great view & walk to the water.

Perfect place to spend time on the water. If you have dogs and want somewhere you can walk right into the water, this is your spot. The lily pad is amazing!

Great Stay

We were in town for Thanksgiving and a Baptism and ranged in age from 86 to college senior. The downstairs was extremely convenient and charming for my elderly and mobility challenged Mother. Upstairs very nice and deck was spectacular. The two small dogs loved the large fenced yards. The owner also was accommodating and had things set up for us to enjoy our stay.

“Fall”inn for Texas

Wonderful weekend. Patio and outside area was so comfortable. Loved the tv for music! Arrived after a storm so rather muddy and dirty outside. Downstairs unit definitely smelled like it had hosted pets.

Disappointed

The grass was overgrown, patio and furniture was not clean. There was a bug found twice in the bed downstairs. The only bathroom in the upstairs suite was next to the kitchen. The rooms were very small and no closet space in the master bedroom. Not enough utensils and found ants roaming in the kitchen.

Lake stay

Great place for travelers with a dog. We rented both upstairs and downstairs and having both worked well for us. Close to Lakeway Marina if you want to rent a boat. About 15 minutes to the grocery store although there is.a small market closer. Visited a winery in Spicewood and ate bbq at Opies. Great weekend.

Beautiful location and property was exceptional

My daughter and I had a lovely time at this property. Pictures don’t do it justice. The backyard lounging area is like heaven on earth. The house was clean and owners provide a lot of amenities I didn’t expect. I will definitely be staying at this property again!
