Beautiful View

We enjoyed our stay. Pagosa Springs is a perfect place to see beautiful mountain and lots of wildlife. Kayaking and fishing was great. Hiking was exhilarating. The condo had everything we needed to make the trip excellent. .

Beautiful Getaway

What a beautiful property! Everything we needed was available. Quiet neighborhood. The views from the rooms and the patio are exquisite. Plenty of towels, blankets, pillows and bedding. Location is within minutes to amazing eateries. We were even able to do a late checkout for a small fee! We would definitely stay again.

Practical and Affordable

If you’re looking for a cost effective place to stay with all the basic necessities, this is the right choice. The condo is spacious and provided us with a comfortable place to hangout, cook, and relax. It provides beautiful views and was perfect for our small dog. The neighborhood is quiet and great for taking walks. Grocery store and shops are very close. However, if the small things are your focus, this might not be the best choice. Furniture, stove, and frying pans need to be updated. Some of the towels were also worn. Overall, very happy with our choice and enjoyed our vacation in Colorado.

Nice but outdated

Great location but the house was very dated and smelled a little musty. The washing machine had some mold in it and the toilets didn’t always flush.

Not up to my standards

If you are looking for a cheap rental in a good location, this is for you. If you are looking for a clean and well-maintained property, keep looking.

Condominimum

Don’t bring a dog; the neighbors allow theirs to run loose, and the immediate neighbor threatened us for having one. The kitchen is outdated ( the stove was manufactured in 1984 and the dorm microwave in 1990). The WiFi is low speed and we were unable to stream. The cable had 10 channels. The furnishings are all uncomfortable. Our first review was not accepted, as it was deemed irrelevant. We were trying to spare the owner’s feelings. So, here’s the new one.

2nd time stayer

This was our second time staying in this condo. The owner really needs to update this place. It’s very outdated. When we arrived and got settled, there was dog hair everywhere. All over the table and couch. It was like it wasn’t even cleaned from the previous stay. I had to wash the blankets because of the dog hair. My husband and I could not shower back to back because there wasn’t enough hot water. The shower in the living room leaked. The light over the kitchen table didn’t work. When we stayed in the condo in 2019, it was not this bad. There was hardly any towels. I had to wash several times during our stay. This stay was very special to us because it was our 1 yr wedding anniversary. My husband proposed in 2019 when we stayed in this condo and got married last year in Pagosa. The master bedroom bathroom needs painting bad. There is paint missing on the walls. There was only one curtain hanging in the window behind the couch. The couch pillows are coming unsewed. Upon arriving, I had to do another hour of cleaning from dusting and vacuuming of dog hair. We had our 8 lbs fur baby with us so I’m not against having pets but if you are going to allow pets, I suggest not having carpet.

Home Away From Home

Nice condominium

The condo is beautiful, the mountains view is beautiful only needs a few things to be cleaned: carpet, stove, couches, porch furniture, blankets, etc.

Great place to stay

We loved this condo. Very comfortable, quiet and clean. We enjoyed having a full kitchen even if the appliances are a little outdated. They still work. If we return to Pagosa Springs, and we may, I hope this condo is available.

Great floor plan - very spacious, loved the 2 bathrooms, nice patio. Great location, quiet and nice views. But unit is very dated, old carpet smells. Had a nice stay overall, but I would recommend updating this unit.

Review

If you need internet service, this is not the home for you. Measured the speed at one point during my stay and it was .55 Mbps. I work out of my home so this was very important to me. I have stayed at many other condos in Aspenwood and the internet is fine. The modem looked very old which is probably part of the problem. Owner needs to do some work on providing minimal items needed during a vacation. Would not rent here again.

PERFECT VACATION SPOT

Super easy directions and close to all stores in town! Highly recommend this place! TONS of towels, plenty of room, gorgeous view in winter, plenty of room for kids and dogs to play. Having a washer/dryer inside was amazing. Easy to communicate with owner. Would stay again!

Needs repairs!

The bathroom in the master bedroom needs attention, the sink doesn't drain well and the toilet doesn't flush properly. We had to use the plunger that is handy in the bathroom. Also, the sink doesn't drain well in the other bathroom either. The cable remote probably needs batteries as it didn't always work. The beds need updating not supportive at all.

Nice stay

Overall, nice, dog friendly place to stay for a ski weekend in Pagosa Springs. We did have a small issue with getting locked out of one of the interior areas, but management was fairly responsive and should be getting extra keys made and added to the lockbox. Master bed is fairly firm, which was fine. I much prefer a slightly too firm bed to a slightly too soft one! My biggest complaint is that the stove top burner coils are slightly too big for the drip pans, causing them to have a bit of a wobble, which is concerning when you have a full pan of hot food. It's very manageable and I cooked our meals just fine, but is a significant ding against the unit for me.

Roomy and great view

Family of 4 stayed during holiday weekend...there was plenty of room and great views. Saw mule deer, geese and bats from the deck.

Oh, those Rockies

Aspenwood was a great place to stay for spectacular views of the Rockies from the living room, bedroom and especially from the private deck. You never get tired of those spectacular mountains. If you are a pet owner, it is even better because they welcome your pets.
