Cape San Blas the perfect hidden gem

Enjoyed our stay at Sweet Life in the Indian Pass area. House was clean, comfy and provided us many entertaining moments. Pool and shower outside was a nice relief from the beach in the evenings. The layout worked well for all of our family.

Very nice. Would stay again. The only issues were poor internet service and a surprise bear problem. I would mention the bear issue in your welcome packet.

As for the wildlife, bears and other native animals do occasionally pass through, which can be surprising but is also part of the natural charm of the area. We do include a note about this in the FAQ section of our Guest Guide, though we’ll look at ways to make it more visible for future guests.

Perfect for fall break!

This property was perfect for our family of 6! The home was very clean and the beds were large and comfortable. The pool was clean and just the right size! You are literally steps from the beach!!! You could not ask for a better location overall! We also used the local company that sets up and takes down an evening bonfire on the beach! We went from VRBO on most of our trips and this is one that we would 100% rent again!

Sweet Life

Overall the house was very nice. Pool area was great. The air had been turned off upon arrival and the house temp was 90 which caused the air conditioning to not be able to catch up for a couple of days. Could not get the property management to call us back until very late the next evening. Once the air was fixed we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

Beautiful home and pool!

So beautiful and nice having our own pool at the house! The beach is very private as well!! Only drawback this time of year the yellow flies are out and biting!!! But, nothing can really be done about that! Would highly recommend staying here !

Amazing Beach House

My family and I loved our vacation and didn’t want to leave. The house was so clean and beautifully decorated. It was spacious and views of the ocean were stunning.

Pros and cons

The home is comfortable and easy to be in. I particularly appreciated the cleanliness. Access to the beach was perfect - just a few steps down the beautiful boardwalk. I do wish the owners would have made the elevator available. With our grandson’s toys and all the food we brought since we were not dining out due to Covid, move in was difficult. However, the major problem was with Cape and Coast management company. We paid $250 for a heated pool. It was never heated in spite of our numerous calls to this group. They claimed it was heated. We stay in homes with heated pools every time we come to Cape San Blas so we are very aware of what a heated pool feels like. Nice home but very poor, if not unethical, management Renter beware!

We spent two weeks at the Sweet Life, one week with parents and sister (total of 9 in the house) and the next week just myself, husband and two kids (4 in the house). It was the perfect home for our family. All rooms were generous in size, the kitchen had everything you could need and the porches and pool were perfect! Not to mention the view and private direct access to the beach.

This house is newer construction so it’s very up to date with beautiful furniture and comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen! We had 2 dogs and really appreciated the fenced in pool, plus a hose to wash off sandy paws. The view is amazing and the beach was very empty. Having never been to Cape San Blas, I didn’t realize we were actually staying on Indian Pass, so the ocean was choppier, sand fritter, and browner water - so FYI. Still gorgeous and we enjoyed it though! The WiFi in the house is strong enough to use on your phone but we couldn’t get any of the streaming to work on the smart TVs. The cable worked great though for those rainy moments. The mgmt company was response and professional. Definitely recommend this house!

Nice location and quiet

Easy to watch kids at pool or beach without having to be right there. Good space for everyone to lounge around and eat inside and out.

Reviewer Comments: This beautiful home on a relatively isolated stretch of sugar sand beach was a wonderful escape from the stress associated with the unique circumstances of Summer 2020. 15 minutes from Port St. Joe was close enough to go into town to pick up dinner, but far enough for lots of social distancing on the beach. The house had all the amenities you would want, and the pool was a nice alternative after the beach.

Breathtaking!

We hit it on the head when we chose Sweet Life! It was like being on our private beach with the perfect house. The house was fabulous! The beach deserted, the fishing perfect! Loved the location! Especially since we love the Indian Pass Raw Bar!!! The General store around the corner came in handy too! The dolphins were abundant! I’ve been coming to this area for 6 years and it never fails! I highly recommend Sweet Life!!!!

We had a beautiful, peaceful vacation at Sweet Life. The home and location were wonderful. This area of the beach is lovely, and we especially enjoyed the private pool. The home itself was well-appointed, spacious, and clean. We have rented through Cape and Coast for several years now and would never rent through anyone else.

So convenient and close to the ocean but perfect for mom and 7 month old to be at the pool when sun was hot and baby needed shade. The management team was quick to respond to any questions or events that arose. We would def stay here again.
