Best stay in Clayton

This is the best place to stay in Clayton hands down. Very clean and spacious for a small family. Everything on Main St. is less than a 10 minute walk. It is well stocked with linens and cookware. I hope this place never changes. It's our favorite place to stay in Clayton.

Nice rental

My friend and I had a great time and the apartment was so close to downtown!This rental had everything we needed. Very comfortable, some nice upgrades, and we felt right at home. Check in and out was very easy.

Only one TV, we like to go to bed and watch TV before sleep, no TV in bedroom. Not a big deal, we just changed our routine. Missed having a ceiling fan in bedroom, need that air circulation. None of this was a big deal, just what we are use to. The one TV we had went out on our last day. The condo was VERY well kept and extremely clean. A nice place.

Blue Moon Gem in Clayton

This beautiful 2 bedroom unit is very well appointed with great decor, upscale appliances and comfy beds! Located on a side street, the traffic was minimal. The property is well maintained inside and out. We will be back!

Nice property

This is an amazing place to stay. It is very easy to find. Close to everything there is to do in Clayton. Hands down the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. Check in was effortless. We will absolutely stay here again.

Great spot in Clayton!

Love everything about this condo - great size, comfortable, great location. I did not realize this was an upstairs unit though, and that presented a few challenges for us. Paul was very responsive to my inquiries about switching to a first floor unit, but there was just no way to "switch things around" and I like this place so much, I didn't want to cancel and rebook elsewhere. But all in all, a great stay! Will stay there again on our next visit (except hopeful to get the downstairs unit next time).

Location is great. Property was very clean and convenient to almost anything you want to do. The living room furniture needs to be replaced. Very old and broken down and uncomfortable.

Peacefully Perfect

We came to visit my father and second mom. We chose this location because it was close to them, their church and walking distance to small shops at restaurants. Also, it allowed us to cook a nice dinner and just hangout with my family. We will utilize it again when we are in town but next time a first floor to make it easier for my aging parents.

Over night after Christmas concert

We loved downtown Clayton. Park had beautiful lights and holiday decor. Unit not ready / clean when we arrived but we contacted host who came right over and made cleaning arrangements. We left for our dinner and concert and unit already when we got back. Nice location. Nice place.

Perfect location, but


The location to downtown is perfect! The furnishings inside the home were nice. There are waterproof covers on the mattresses that were super uncomfortable. They were zip on so you couldn’t remove them. I understand the need for protection, but investing in some that don’t make you sweat would be really nice. The apartment itself is nice. The hallway of the main building smells like cat pee, which made me sick every time we had to walk into the hallway. Thankfully, the smell does not transfer into the apartment. Overall, if the bed had a better mattress cover, I would definitely come back. But, between the sweating in bed and stinky hallway, I’m not sure that I’ll be back.

Great Spot in Clayton

This is the second time we’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Blue Moon and the condos are great, especially for families. The two bedrooms are great for families with kids and you can’t beat being able to walk to restaurants after a day out on the lake or after some hiking in the beauty of Rabun. Thanks!
