Walk to Downtown from Family Friendly Charming Home

Charming family/pet friendly home is an easy walk from one of the best streets in town! This three-bedroom house is tucked away on a quiet lane overlooking town, and features beautiful year-round mountain views.

Enjoy your coffee on our back deck with woodsy views, drive up to Black Rock mountain, then stroll downtown for shopping and a delicious meal. This gracious home is loved by guests not only for its walkability but also for its thoughtful, curated interior and attention to comfort.

The fully-stocked charming green kitchen features warm rusticity while providing modern convenience and amenities. The cozy wood-paneled living area invites relaxation while the 75" tv adjusts down to eye level for a movie theater experience.

The master is a California king Tempur-pedic for a night of pure sleeping pleasure--a zen sanctuary at the end of a full day! We use quality linens on all beds and supply plenty of extra towels in the ensuite bath.

The second bedroom is its own private retreat with windows that welcome the new morning with red sunrises. The second bathroom is tucked away in the same hallway as the second bedroom, but the bathroom is accessible to the whole house.

The third bedroom features a twin daybed with an additional twin cot and baby pack 'n play available upon request. Note that the third bedroom is a bedroom/office room and is an anterior room to the master, with a door between it and the master but not between it and the rest of the house.

Hang out on the back porch that offers long-range views of mountains as well as the neighbor's flower farm just below. Enjoy the yard or walk the quiet lane that leads among the trees. This home is for relaxing.

The house felt like a house out of southern living. Was an easy walk to downtown to multiple restaurants, we would definitely stay there again.

"A beautiful and peaceful country cottage! The property is exactly as described—cozy, clean, and in a great location to downtown Clayton. We couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind. Such a cute home that had everything we needed! The house is on an adorable side street/dead end with zero traffic. Location was amazing for food, shopping, and close to hiking trails. We were able to walk to lunch one afternoon. Also loved how easy checkout was - no long "to do" list before you leave!

One of the best places we have stayed bar none! Location was perfect, allowing us to easily walk into town to enjoy all the fine dining and shopping. The host made sure all of our needs were met. The welcome card, snacks, and everything else provided took this booking to the next level. Our host was quick to respond to our requests. The porch provided a beautiful view of the mountains! I wish all VRBO rentals would match this level of perfection. We would 100% book again.

This property was amazing! The hosts really have thought of every detail to make our stay very easy. The house is gorgeous, with lots of natural light but also a cozy in-the-woods feel reminiscent of a cabin. The street is very secluded and super quiet at night. The star of the show is probably the kitchen, is it’s gorgeous but also incredibly well stocked with every kitchen necessity you could want. The master bath was an absolute treat and felt luxurious. The master bedroom is spacious, with a king bed. The living room feels like a lodge/cabin with lots of natural wood and a stone mantle under the tv. There’s plenty of outdoor seating on the wrap around deck and screened in patio. The proximity to downtown Clayton is incredible. It’s walking distance to an amazing Cuban restaurant, although the walk back up the hill might be a bit much in the July heat. Would definitely recommend this property and I definitely plan on staying here again!

Clayton is a quaint downtown nestled in the mountains. It has an authentic vibe without being touristy. The easy walk down the block from our house really sold us on the property and has provided for memorable nights with family and friends!

For us, it is about the details that make this house unlike most that purchase furniture and accessories off the floor. This is a curated, intentional collection thoughtfully layered to create an authentic sense of the well-considered home. Most of the furniture and linens are hand-selected, authentic pieces. For example, the guest room bed cover is an authentic suzani from Central Asia and the bamboo dressing table is vintage hand painted.
