Very cute, nice flowers in the yard, 2 near identical bedroom bathrooms mirrored. Had all the dishes silver wear, detergent, towels, etc you might want. My only issue is it had a few more bugs than I'd like and several geckos crawling around inside. Better walking and potentially indoor bug zappers / vaccumes would have been nice. Bugs and geckos indoors are normal for the region, but still would be nice to have fewer.

The cottage had everything we needed for cooking, a small cooler for packing lunches, boogie boards, etc. The host was very nice. Our favorite things about the cottage include the private setting with beautiful landscaping, and amazing scenery right outside porch.

Very quiet neighborhood (despite rooster crowing in early am.) Relaxing lanai with beautiful view. Excellent location to explore south Kauai. Highly recommend and would stay at this lovely cottage again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent—just a 2-minute drive to old Kōloa Town and less than 10 minutes from Poʻipū Beach. The house was spacious, comfortable, and situated in a wonderfully quiet area. We especially loved spending time on the veranda.The home was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen for preparing meals, laundry facilities, and essential beach gear for us to use (chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards). These extra amenities made our stay even more enjoyable.Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

This home is truly magical. The home is modest but well appointed, the beds and linens are high quality and very comfortable. Mornings and evenings on the screened in porch melted years of stress away. This home sits on a private lot with Mountain View’s. Words don’t do it justice. Close to everything but made us feel connected to the quiet rhythms of the land.

Diane is a great host. This is our 2nd time returning to this little slice of heaven. Its quaint, rustic charm makes for a great getaway and memories. Place is spacious and easy drive to all the southern Kauai locations

I'll start by saying that we visited at an unusual time, a little over two weeks after Hurricane Lowell damaged the island of Kaua'i. I messaged our host, Diane, the day after and expressed my sympathies and asked how things were looking. She was completely honest, letting us know the cottage was OK and they were mostly cleaning up yard waste. She was flexible enough to give us an extra week to decide about coming to stay and was open with us about damage to Poipu and the North Shore, saying it was fine for us to cancel or reschedule. After much deliberation, we decided to visit with no expectations. We found the cottage to be exactly as described in the listing. The photos are exactly the way the porch and garden/view look, but the property and rooms are even nicer than the pictures. There are so many beautiful details and pieces of art. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms so clean and convenient, and it's brilliant to have laundry facilities. The living room and screened porch (lanai?) are lovely for relaxing. The kitchen is beautifully supplied and there are lots of beach items you can borrow, though the surf was too high for much beachgoing. Diane was very easy to communicate with. We found her to be fair and honest in every instance. She was also kind enough to post me my toiletry kit, which I had left hanging on the back of the bathroom door! We hope to have the chance to stay at the Charming Cottage again next time we visit Kaua'i!

Great location, great hosts

Situated right outside of old Koloa town and away from the hustle and bustle of all the resorts made it the perfect place to stay. The cottage was stocked with everythjng you'd need for your vacation--full kitchen, cookware, beach towels, goggles, etc. Highly recommend and would book again when I the island dueing my next visit.

Comfortable Cottage

Quiet little oasis close to Old Koloa town but still felt like the country. Horses, dog, chickens, roosters & birds keep you company.

Excellent stay

Located near a superb typical village, this villa is very well equipped, quiet (except the alarm clock in the rooster song) and allows you to quickly access the many wonderful places of the island. Essential car.
