We had a lovely stay at the property and Francois was a great host - The property was immaculate and the town of Contignac was in wlaking distance and has lots of lovely restaurants and shops A very enjoyable and relaxing holiday

A hidden gem.

The villa is just perfect, a hidden gem!Francois and Sylvie are perfect hosts and charming people.The pool and the pool area is superb, air conditioning in the villa is a god send.We had planned to venture to Aiux and Menton, the villa setting is so nice we didn’t go further than the village! We really didn’t want to leave and look forward to returning soon.

Beautiful house in perfect location

We have spent a wonderful weak in Francois's very comfortable house. The location of the house makes it possible to reach Cotignac's centre with a 10 minutes walk. The house was very convenient and we will definitely return.

A beautiful villa and place

We had a fantastic time at the villa in Cotignac. We were two families and the villa had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor kitchen area by the pool, and the table tennis table. The air conditioning worked well, and the villa is well equipped overall. It was also great to walk into Cotignac along the beautiful pathway, to visit the market and the various shops and restaurants. François was an excellent host, very responsive.

5 star villa in amazing location.

An absolutely gem of a villa in a lovely part of Provence. My family and I had a fantastic two weeks there and the property has everything you need along with a delightful swimming pool and outdoor kitchen. The beautiful village of Contignac is a short walk away and has some lovely shops, bars and restaurants. The Tuesday market is great too. Would not hesitate to return to this villa and lovely location.

Great stay, house and Location

We really loved the house. It was nice, easy to live in and very well kept. The pool area with the outdoor kitchen was where we stayed all holiday and had all meals. The owner was very attentive and helped us at any time from before arriving and under the holiday. The local area around Cotignac was also nice, with nice markets, wineries and cosy small french towns. Can totally recommend.

Beautiful villa near Cotignac

Beautiful and well equipped villa with lovely host (Francois) who lives nearby and was always available to provide help when needed. Nice secluded location but an easy walk into town. Only negative is that access by car is down a steep and narrow unmade road and the turn to get in and out of the property is very difficult for anything other than a small car.

Fantastic!!

We arrived in a lovely drive-way with olive trees, grapes and lavendels. The House and the outdoor area was fantastic. We were two families travelling together and we har a great week. The picine is very Nice and clean, outdoor kitchen and a small walk to the little town to buy bread and grocerys. A Perfect place to discover provence!!! We will be back!

Fantastic villa

A wonderful holiday spent at this lovely villa. Francois met us upon arrival and showed us around , was even better than we expected. Lots of areas to sit outside, and as the weather was so hot , we spent most of the time by, and in the swimming pool. The villa is very well equipped. We spent 2 weeks here with family visiting us . The village of Cotignac is about a 10 minute walk via a footpath near the villa. Lots of shops/ restaurants there We would love to return , it was a very special holiday.

Wonderful stay in Cotignac

Lovely home and beautiful stay. Francois met us with a smile, was very professional and went over everything in the home. Walk to town is about 15 minutes as I am not able to walk too fast up some hills with beautiful views. We enjoyed our time at the villa everyday by the pool and outdoor kitchen was wonderful being my husband is a chef and daughter is an aspiring chef. Great time had by all. Merci Francois

A dream vacation/location.

Me and my family had a wonderful stay at Francois' property. The calm and privacy was just what we were looking for. Fabulous swimming pool and outdoor eating facilities. House in perfect condition and all as described in the listing. We can highly recommend this property to everyone who wants to have the 'true provence' experience. With Cotignac's many restaurants and nice shops at walking distance this is the perfect place to rent as a home-base to visit the VAR and Cote d'Azur. We will be returning! Merci Francois.

Extremely nice house with awsome views into pure

We had two weeks in this extremely nice house. The house was well equipped and extremely clean. Especially the many places to sit and eat, which offer many different awsome views into the valley with its nature, are to mention. Francois is a very sympathic, friendly, helpful and competent person. The pool area with the outer kitchen is extremely nice to enjoy the holidays. The house is ideal for a big family with its various options for children. This was the best house we booked within the last years of holidays, which we always spent in the Provence.

Superb villa and location

This was the second time here in this lovely villa in Cotignac. Again it didn’t disappoint. The villa is equipped with everything that we needed, and more. Francois met us upon arrival, a great host and we managed to communicate well (my French is not very good). A short walk to the beautiful village of Cotignac, full of restaurants, bars and shops. The weather was sunny for the whole 2 weeks and the pool was used every day. I would highly recommend this villa, nothing to fault! We are hoping to return again 🙏☀️☀️☀️ Thank you Francois once again

Beautiful Villa

We had a wonderful stay at Le Durroc. The villa was even better than the pictures. We pretty much lived around the fabulous pool area. The outdoor kitchen was superb and we cooked all of our meals outside. The grounds are very well maintained and compliment the stunning location. Francois was exceedingly helpful and on hand to answer any questions. We loved our daily walks into Cotingac. The little town has pretty much everything you need and has markets on almost daily. Fabulous for eating out, although do book if you are planning to eat out on Wednesday evening as we struggled to get a table as there is an evening market on during the summer months. We will definitely be back!!

Paradise

This was our 3rd time staying here , and again we had an amazing 2 weeks. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. François, as before, met us on arrival, to ensure we were happy with everything. The outside area is where we spent most of the time. The pool is so good, and needed, as it was hot and sunny almost every day. There is also a shadier area at the back. Francois is a great host, always replies very quickly to any enquiries, and is very helpful and keen to ensure we had the best time. Cotignac is a beautiful village with plenty of good restaurants and shops, and a bonus that you can use the path to walk there in around 7 minutes. Without doubt, our favourite place to stay!

We stayed 3 weeks in this beautiful house and enjoyed every minute.Francois was an incredible host and starting with answering a lot of questions in advance, he was always on side to solve the small issues and give advice and guidance for appropriate touring.Check-in and depart was as easy as all the communication. The pool area and especially the outdoor kitchen was superb and equipped with everything you could possibly need, so is the complete house.Well maintained, comfortable living space and 3 bedroom will suit most of the families needs.Very quiet surroundings and no neighbours that will disturb your holiday, next to the city, but: there are hills and you will need a car ( and some driving skills) to get your groceries.The walk to the village is nice with stunning views, but you will need a certain fitness level to get back up the hills.We definitely recommend a spend in this house, there is so much space and the large garden is a guarantee, that all guests will have their rest and some place to find some peace.5 Stars!

This was a great stay in a fantastic and well equipped villa. We stayed during a heatwave and the whole villa benefits from high quality air conditioning and thick walls. The town is a 15 minute walk away, which may not suit elderly people or infants due to the hills, but otherwise it was no issue. The road to get to the house is a narrow track, so it probably isn’t one for a nervous driver. Francois is an incredibly communicative and responsive host, he lives opposite and was very helpful as and when required. Even after the visit locating a child’s toy. The outdoor kitchen is great but we didn’t feel like using it much during the heat wave! There is a big garden which is fenced, which was enough to contain our small dogs but larger inquisitive dogs may run off as there are lots of things to sniff!

As good as we had hoped for

We spent almost a month at Francois' place in Cotignac and we loved it (two adults, one 9 months old girl). Everything is as the pictures suggest and Francois is an excellent host. He lives in the house next door and if any issues, he will come by immediately. The house is very well divided and excellent for 2 small families with 2 master bedrooms upstairs and a 4 person room downstairs with 4 bunk beds. There are so many cosy little eating areas and terraces outside, so it's tough to choose where to have your meals. The property itself is idyllic with lots of olive trees, wine plants and small ponds amongst a very lush forrest surrounding the whole property. Cotignac itself is 8-10 minutes away on a very beautiful walk and the city is very quaint and basically your quintessential Provence mountain village with a great market on Tuesdays. All in all, we highly recommend this place and hope to return at one point in the future.

A beautiful house at a perfect location

We truly had a perfect vacation at this beautiful house! We were welcomed very friendly and flexible in time and everything was explained thoroughly. The house is stunning and has everything you need. Especially the pool area with its additional outside kitchen is a huge plus. You have sun until the late evening and it’s a great atmosphere. The house is very well equipped with everything you need. The garden is beautifully maintained with lots of olive trees and nice places to sit and relax surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Walking down to the village of Cotignac is easily reached in about 10 minutes and the amazing scenery never gets boring. Cotignac is a beautiful, pittoresk little town with everything you need. Many restaurants and shops, including a little supermarket and a great bakery. We recommend the house 100%, not only because it’s simply beautiful but also because we felt very welcome and François was helpful and a perfect host. We definitely plan on coming back! If you are looking for an absolutely beautiful property, inside and out, this is the one for you. The house is very clean, nicely furnished, fully stocked, and beautifully decorated. The furniture is high quality and very comfortable.The views are beyond stunning, and the sense of peacefulness is ever present. Sometimes the only noise we heard was from the birds singing and the wind rustling the trees. I loved the balcony off one of the bedrooms. At night the stars were so bright I felt like I could touch them. In the morning, I stepped out and marveled at the clear blue sky and the ever changing scenery. Although, there were only two of us and our small dog, this house is spacious and perfect for a family with children. Our little dog had lots of space to run around and explore, and the property is fully fenced.Francois was very readily available if we needed anything. But, we didn’t need much, everything is in good working order. The village is about a 10-12 minute walk through a trail with beautiful views of the valley below. It is a bit of a hike so you should be in decent shape to enjoy the walk to the village. We are seniors with a 14lb dog who walked to the village often. The walk is worth it. The village is absolutely charming with plenty of restaurants, cafes, an ice cream shop and small shops. Loved the comfort, beauty, peace, and cultural experience of living in a medieval village. Stay in Cotignac

We know the area and Cotignac very well and could see that this property was a short 10 min walk from all the bars and restaurants in the village. Nice property, the pictures of the lounge area don't do it justice though. It is an excellent room. Strange configuration with the downstairs bedroom being the only en-suite and having two sets of bunkbeds in it. Would really have expected and preferred a double ensuite downstairs. The other two double rooms upstairs were rather small and shared a bathroom and w/c. Fortunately for us, it was just the two of us, but could have a been a bit of a squeeze with any more adults. The outside kitchen and pool area were lovely and when all lit up at night looked amazing Sadly though, the WiFi signal did not reach pool area, which was a real shame, so could not connect to music and also as we needed to stay in contact with work, we could not do this by the pool. There were no usable table tennis bats and only one broken ball - which was ok for us, as we have our own anyway, but this would have meant a trip to a sports shop at least 40 mins away if you hadn't brought your own. The grounds were really lovely as well.

Good morning, Michael. Thank you for your positive comments. For the wifi outside the house pool side, I have never had any worries so far, it can be related to your equipment, know that the fiber is currently being installed in our neighborhood, and that by early 2023 the house will be equipped;-). On your preferences on the configuration of the house, everything is clearly indicated in the ad with the description of the house, 50 photos in support, describing precisely the house, rooms by rooms, the pool, the equipped summer kitchen, the 3 terraces... So there is no possible surprise on arrival, and it is often mentioned in the notices. If in spite of everything, this level of service, with 145 m2 of living space and one hectare of landscaped land, seems a bit fair for two people, we can understand it, and we can also choose larger houses, but the budget will not be the same;-). Finally on the feline ping-pong ball, I’m sorry, it’s too bad you waited 15 days to tell me, whereas when you arrive, as I do for all the families I welcome, I told you my availability for the slightest request. Since I live two minutes away from the rental and have all the spare equipment available in duplicate in preparation, and I’m always happy to be responsive to any request, this is also often mentioned in evaluations. And I add that you told me yourself by email that you would come with your own ping-pong equipment;-). Finally you forget to specify that as you enjoy ping-pong, the old table had been replaced by a brand new one just before your arrival... Small attention of the owner... All this is in the order of detail, but I wanted to be clear. Finally you enjoyed the quality and maintenance of the landscaped garden, I am absolutely delighted:-).
