Great location, right in town but just a smidge away from the late night life so nice and quiet. Plenty of room to chill inside and out, only regret is not taking the bikes out.

Hello Alan, thank you for this valuable info! I’m sorry you found your stay to be 3 stars. Sounds like Mountain Views were very important when you made your decision. Salida is surrounded by many 14k and 13k ft peaks some of which are visible from the home or from a block in any direction. I hope you visit our community again and are able to find a better location. All the best!

Great Stay at The Brick

This is an amazing property just a couple of blocks from a very fun and vibrant downtown. The place was clean and comfortable and had bikes available for taking our adventure outside of the downtown area. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone that asked.

Awesome Salida house

We took a short Spring Break trip here to ski Monarch and visit some hot springs in the area. This house was fantastic - great kitchen, great living spaces for us to just hang out as a family and enjoy Salida. The location is excellent for shops, groceries, and restaurants. Monarch is a short drive (30 mins tops with good road conditions) and mountain biking trails start just a few blocks away.

Great location!

Located in the heart of Salida! Walk out the door and you are a 5 minute walk to grocery stores, restaurants, shops, and Riverside Park! Beds are comfortable, updated bathroom and kitchen. TV with streaming services in every room.

Really nice place, spacious, great location.

Great house, lots of character, property management was great. Just one shower if that will be an issue for you. Walk to everything in town.

Good location & accommodation. Bring your own towel.

Great spot in town very close to moonlight pizza. Easy check in and check out process. We liked the furniture and layout of place. We had one complaint, tried to get in touch with properly manager and never got a response. There were no usable towels. All the towels at rental were wet! The towels in linen closet and rolled up on beds were wet.

The Brick

Nice place to stay in Salida, in a perfect location. Clean, updated, and comfortable. Check the details of the sleeping arrangements carefully. We expected a sleeper sofa but found a large non-sleeper sofa instead. Worked fine for us, just be aware if you are counting on that third bed.

Apologies that this was only a 4 star stay for you and your family. The sofa is brand new and was delivered a few days prior to your stay. I neglected to update the listing. I assumed that this couch would still be able to be slept on since it’s about three times the size of the old one, which was not a pull out couch but an oversized sofa as indicated in the pictures. Incredibly sorry for this inconvenience.

Great location and cool place.

We loved our stay in Salida, being just steps away from the shops and restaurants was a huge plus. The host allowed us to check in early and the house was spotless. They even had a NES for the kids to play when we came in for the night. I think it deserves five stars however I will say that we had some trouble with the shower draining. The host took care of it quickly but even after it was fixed the shower is not very good. Just low pressure. Also wish it had a washer dryer. Again though loved the place.

We love the Brick!

We are frequent fliers to Chaffee County and we absolutely LOVED our stay at this quaint, comfortable home. The location cannot be beat. We loved being walking distance (literally a three minute walk) to all of the shops and restaurants in downtown Salida. For those traveling with kiddos, like we were, we loved being walking distance to a cute park for our little guy to play at. Our son, who is two, also loved his stay with plenty of room for him to run around and play with his toys. The home itself is super charming with a ton of character. We visited on a particularly cold week in January and had just as much fun hunkering down and staying cozy at the house as we did walking to our favorite brewery and restaurants. Caleb was super responsive the couple of times we needed to reach out with questions. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Great location

Great location. Clean. Never watched tv but there are one in every room. Couldn’t figure out where to take the trash but luckily the cleaner showed up and said would take it out for us. Good communication and has the needed pots and pans even though we ate out the whole time. Only negative was the size of the security deposit of 1500. That was the most we’ve seen and kind of impact credit card payments, but minor issues. Great place.

BEAUTIFUL Home, GREAT Location

House was very well kept and clean. Location was better than we could have expected, right in the heart of Salida. A short walk to restaurants, bars and the grocery. If we're ever back in Salida THIS is where we will stay. Caleb was great to work with, very responsive to messages and texts!

Adorable place, best location

This place was so unique and adorable. Classic 1900s feel but modern updates. Great space for our kids and we loved the gated front courtyard. We parked and walked everywhere-the location was perfect for salida. Can’t wait to come back!
