Escapade confortable et tranquille à Old Forge, à quelques minutes des lacs Fulton Chain

Belle maison de 3 chambres, hauts plafonds, avec sous-sol aménagé pour un coin salon supplémentaire. 6 adultes est la capacité MAX. Les tout-petits et les nourrissons pris en compte bien sûr. Accès à une laveuse complète, une sécheuse, un barbecue. Cuisine complète avec lave-vaisselle, réfrigérateur / congélateur complet et 2 ponts, et un foyer confortable. Bois fourni pour foyer (veuillez ne pas en abuser ...). L'allée peut contenir 3 véhicules confortablement, mais pas plus. L'emplacement est à 3 km du village d'Old Forge et à 9 km d'Inlet. N'importe où de 2-4 miles pour l'accès au lac. Il convient de noter que 6 adultes / jeunes est la capacité maximale pour un séjour dans la maison. (les nourrissons et les tout-petits sont pris en considération).

Great 4th of July

We stayed for the 4th of July weekend and had a great time, the house is clean and comfortable. We had a mommy and baby deer in the back lawn every morning. The location is close to everything, We all had a great time.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Their home was cozy, clean, nicely decorated with bear themes, comfortable couches & beds, fully equipped kitchen, and nature all around through large windows. Front porch great for stargazing, back deck spacious, and fire pit with plenty of wood to enjoy. We especially loved our bear sighting near their property! Chris was a great host.

Beautiful mountain home

This home is beautiful and perfectly located for an ADK vacation. The host is very responsive and there are several nice amenities provided. Highly recommend and hope to go back ourselves.

Cozy Adirondacks

We had a cozy time staying in this great home in Old Forge. The weather was cold, windy and rainy but we really enjoyed coming back to this cozy home every night. We have already stay here for two long weekends and we will definitely stay here again next trip! Great location to all the activities and dining!

Great house near Old Forge

The property was clean, cozy, well furnished with great cabin style decor and near perfect for a relaxing getaway. Owner and manager were a pleasure to deal with. Nice private deck with nearby fire pit. Perfect location near old forge, hiking trails and sightseeing.

Great family trip!

We loved our stay! The house was clean and a great layout for our kids to safely run around and play. The deer came right up to us on the deck and we endnotes bon fires every night! Many great mentors were made here. We would absolutely recommend!

Old Forge retreat.

We had a very relaxing time at this beautiful cabin. The location was perfect for exploring the Old Forge area. Short drive to lots of activities, shopping and restaurants. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated in the classic Adirondack style. Chris and Kathy were great hosts! We will definitely book the charming cabin again!

Old Forge Getaway

This property was very clean with plenty of room for our family. It was close to everything in Old Forge. The property is quiet. Nice to have evening fires. Highly recommend this property if you are looking for a getaway to this part of the Adirondacks.

Old Forge NY

Chris was absolutely amazing in responding to all of our questions, could not have been nicer and quicker in getting back to us. The house was welcoming, very comfortable,(beds were amazing, very clean and beautiful area to be in. Close to shopping and restaurants. We were there over Thanksgiving and got to enjoy Old Forge’s Main Street Christmas with parade and tree lighting. Would recommend this house absolutely. Hoping to be back.

Highly recommend

We stayed here Nov 4-8 and were lucky enough to have nice weather to enjoy the many trails and lakes the Old Forge area has to offer. The house was incredible, offering both privacy and easy access to the town and surrounding areas. Chris is a very accommodating host and has every possible provision you could need. Easy to contact and very knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely come back again.

Couples Getaway

We recently stayed at the Cozy Quiet Old Forge Getaway for a long weekend. The home was exactly as pictures and very clean and cozy! The location is just a short drive into town and close to the snow mobile trails! The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals.The home was perfect for three couples! We enjoyed conversation and watching TV in front of the fire place and watching the deer gather outside the kitchen window. The Owner communicated timely and thoroughly and was very pleasant! Thank you Chris! We look forward to coming back soon.

For my Son's Birthday

My son wanted to go to Old Forge for his birthday and we found this listing. This was a rushed last minute trip but we were excited to find something available on a holiday weekend. We Initially were just planning on the five of us, but then after booking, our very close friends (one couple) were also able to join us as well. We did forget to update the guest count to 7 of us but didn't think anything of it or that it would be an issue. Well Chris (the owner) made it a big deal. We knew the house slept six people and were prepared and brought a blow up mattress for the extra person. Chris was rude when we told him that we are a group of 7 and decided to charge us an additional $300! He claimed that more than 6 guests, is taxing on the house?! Not sure I have ever heard that before. Regardless, we didn't make a big deal or question him about it and just paid him. In addition to our unpleasant welcome to the house, we later learned during our stay that the beds in each room are hard and extremely uncomfortable. The kitchen did not have a coffee pot, just an old keurig with weird flavored k-cups that no one likes. He provided one bath towel per person, with no extras. So naturally, we wanted to do a load of laundry so that we could wash our towels. The listing states you have access to the washer and dryer, but Chris later says we are not aloud in that room. All the kitchenware, kitchen utensils, furniture, and bedrooms were extremely outdated. We decided to bring our own camping chairs as the listing showed no chairs around the fire pit just tree stumps. When we arrived, there were Adirondack chairs outside that were not on the initial listing. Kind of annoying but not a big deal. Upon check out, we made a point to ensure everything was cleaned up, dishes were cleaned and put away, fridge emptied, sheets stripped off beds, etc. Chris still found small things to complain about and told us we were not welcome back. To be honest, I have NEVER been treated so poorly as a guest before. Regardless we would have never considered going back just based on the initial way we were treated upon check-in and how that unfortunately set the tone for the rest of our stay.

Quiet and Calm

This place is exactly as described in pictures. Very clean, very comfortable. The deck and fire pit were a big hit. Kitchen well stocked, furniture comfortable - close to Old Forge and Inlet - water pressure was great in the showers. The owner is VERY responsive to any questions that you have - well kept cabin!

Met the needs of our family of 6 but additional service charges were excessive. Property damage protection insurance should of been covered under a returnable fee upon inspection of property. To the reader, please see the history of reviews over the course of 5 yrs and see this does not represent nor is consistent with this property / host. Some Context on the review: "6 Additional Service Charges" - This is simply inaccurate. There were 4. 1. "Property Damage Protection Insurance should of been covered under a returnable fee upon inspection of property" - That's exactly what occurred. This fee is released within 48 hrs of the checkout date pending any damaged to the home. Furthermore, this Fee is a requirement of VRBO, not the Owner. However, it protects the owner and the only control the owner has is what level fee is utilized, of 3 options. This house is set to the lowest at $59..... 2. VRBO Service Fee: Again, requirement of VRBO / Owner has NO control over this.... 3. The Cleaning Fee: This is probably the most standard fee and common fee you will see. Find me a host that takes financial responsibility for cleaning up after guests after their stay.. 4. Additional Guest Fee. Yes, this is controlled and implemented by the host. The house supports (6) adults. If maxing out the house at (6), there is a $28 fee that's noted in the house requirements. This is a decision as an owner that I have made years prior, evaluating the resources utilized and wear on the house with that size party. "Was disappointed with interior as pictures revealed a log interior (part of cabin ambience) was wall paper. Felt deceived" - This is the most interesting comment i've received in 6 yrs of renting. Nowhere In the description of the house, documents associated, or in communications by the owner at does it mention the home to be a "Log” Cabin. No other areas of the house have this design, so it should lead the viewer to understand that it’s not real wood. I suggest you do some homework on fee's, what's controlled by VRBO and what's controlled by the owner, before you want to leave a negative review on a someone's home. Lastly, saying you were "Deceived" is a very bold statement to make on home like this one. I've provided nothing but 5 Star service to good people who want a nice home to stay in. Feel free to not book with us again. Cheers.

Lovely place to be
