Wonderful stay at this house. The owners were so friendly and were very responsive with any questions and providing information. The house was lovely. You can hear the ocean waves from the deck. The pool was amazing and private. The house itself was perfect. Large open living space upstairs. Nice bedrooms and comfy beds. Plus a short walk to the beach! I would definitely recommend staying here. Very kid friendly as well.

This is our third family vacation to this beautiful beach home. There's something for everybody....ages 4 to 80. The house is so comfortable. Warm and welcoming, close to the beach, and is fully stocked with anything you might need. Games, jigsaw puzzles, boogie boards, beach chairs, and more. The owners are readily available by text if there are any issues. We highly recommend.

Will and Allison are wonderful hosts! Will was extremely responsive to our questions along the way.Immediately upon arriving we felt like we were in our "home away from home!"As bonus, the house was stocked with plenty of games and beach amenities for the entire family, including bikes and other toys for the kids to enjoy. There was nothing additional we needed to bring along.The home was exactly as advertised and honestly "more," including the proximity to the beach. Every morning it was an easy walk around the corner to the beach entrance! Every afternoon, we were able return to the house and relax in the pool or hot tub before or after dinner!We are already looking forward to next visit and spending the week here!Thank you for the memories!

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay! The weather was far from ideal but thankfully the accommodations and location were excellent. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The owners were very helpful and communicative. We had a great stay and hope to return next summer.

Beautiful Place

This is our third stay in this lovely home. Has absolutely everything... from jigsaw puzzles to bikes and a lovely library. An easy walk to the beautiful beach. The pool was utilized multiple times a day... both our grandchildren learned to swim during our beach week. We love everything about this property.

Wonderful stay in Corolla!

This was our first time staying in this lovely home and we enjoyed every minute of it! The home was very clean and well appointed with everything we could possibly need and then some! We loved the pool, the hot tub and the location is a short walk to the beach. It is also very convenient to Corolla's shopping and dining. We would not hesitate to rent this property in the future!

Cozy house with great location!

Great property! This was our second time staying here, and it was another wonderful experience. Great communication with owners, cozy and comfortable living space and bedrooms, updated kitchen, fun pool (though we highly recommend bringing something you can put up for some shade!) and so close to the beach. We’d definitely stay here again 😊

We had such a great stay at this house. The owners made everything so convenient and easy. There were really nice beach chairs (a lot of them) provided, comfortable beds and furniture, tons of books, beach toys etc. The pool was bigger than I thought and wonderful and clean. The porch swing was everyone’s favorite spot. The kitchen was fantastic and has everything you need. The view of the lighthouse was beautiful. The hot tub was lovely. We’ve stayed at more expensive places that weren’t as great an experience because you could tell the owners weren’t around/didn’t fix things quickly etc. This house blew my expectations out of the water. I never leave reviews but wanted to for this because was so pleasantly surprised by the house. It was very clean, so close to the beach and just had so many extra conveniences (like extra boogie boards, board games, big/nice outdoor shower etc.). I can’t recommend this house enough.

Great week at OBX

Two sets of families stayed with kids ranging from 4 to 14 and we had a great time. Beach is close by and the pool was great. Quiet neighborhood but have access to anything you need. Enjoyed fishing on the beach and renting a pontoon boat on the Sound. Would recommend it.

Perfect family vacation

This was not only our first family vacation, but also our first vacation in NC. It was perfect! The house was BEAUTIFUL, had plenty of space and something for everyone! Will and Allison answered all questions we had and were wonderful hosts! The beach was easy/close to get to, and food lion near by. We had a blast and made lots of memories!

Perfect Beach House

Our stay at this lovely beach house was amazing. There was plenty of space to gather and also room to spread out when people wanted some time to recharge. Located close to the Shad beach entrance made coming and going easy. The pool was great for a midday swim or relaxing post beach. The house is well stocked with extras having everything we needed throughout the week. The kitchen had anything you might need. The screened in porch was perfect for lunch or teaching my kiddos how to crack crabs. Our family loved exploring the game closet and book shelf. There are beach chairs and boogie boards provided, but the chairs are the thinner metal ones, so adults may prefer to bring their own as we did or rent some. My oldest loved learning to skim board and that wouldn’t have happened if not for amenities provided. Overall, the place was perfect for us and we plan to return again!

Wonderful Week

Our family consisted of 4 generations
 a 9 mo old infant, 4 kids between 6-11, my elderly mom of 86 yrs., and 4 adults in their 30’s and their parents in their 60’s. There was room for everyone and great accommodations for all. The stairs gave all of us a workout but no one complained bc each floor was entertaining in itself! We loved being so close to the beach, having such a relaxing and fun pool to enjoy, puzzles to put together, lots of games to play, huge dinner and game table that 10 could sit at, a wonderful comfy couch that everyone could sit on, Oh, and a basketball hoop too! The family enjoyed ghost crabbing and hot tub soaking in the evenings. The Gaskins were great hosts and easy to work with. They provided everything we needed to have a great week! We would love to return again some day!

Fun family vacation

Beautiful home!

This was our second stay in this lovely home. So many positives... a great pool, and close to the beach. Games are available at the house, both indoor and outdoor (ping pong and corn hole. ) The recently renovated kitchen is perfect for cooking for a large family. Highly recommend.

Great location and well stocked

This is a great property. The rental seems to be managed by the owners with an extra attention to detail. We have stayed at properties in the past that are obviously managed by companies that do the bare minimum, and this is not one of them. Definitely would stay again!

Great home, amazing host!

I will start off by saying Will & Allison were exceptional hosts. They were very responsive throughout the booking process and any questions we had during our stay. The process was made extremely easy. Upon arriving, they sent us a list of their favorite places and things to do here! It was so helpful. We took our jeep to the 4x4 access & we’re able to see the wild horses, what an incredible experience! & They even left a gift card to their favorite coffee shop-( thanks so much, you guys! The house was VERY clean. The walk to the beach was fine. The pool was great! Everything we needed/wanted was a close drive (food lion, historical park with food & coffee options, 4x4 access) The entire house was so well stocked- kitchen & laundry room had everything you could think of plus more. The only thing that would’ve made this vacation better was staying longer!!!! Thanks Will & Allison for an amazing first trip to Corolla. We loved your home!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Allison has been coming to Whalehead since the late 1980's and Will joined her when they got married in the mid-90's. Lots of family memories have been made here since then. We rented this house a number of years ago, loved the location and saw the potential in it. So we bought it in 2018 and took some time to renovate. We think you'll like it!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

One of the many things we love about this house is the location. We're on the "3rd Row" which gives us Ocean views and allows us to hear the ocean crashing on the shore. It is as far north as you can go in Whalehead which means beach access is super close and a walk, jog or bike to the Whalehead Club and Currituck Beach Lighthouse or the shops at Corolla light is super easy. Historic Corolla Village is just on the other side of the Lighthouse and provides hours of wandering (grab a coffee at The Kind Cup or Banana Dog) and browsing and The Beer Garden is not to be missed in the evening. Dad and the boys love to play golf at The Currituck Club just a few miles South. Head just a little further North and you're at the 4-wheel drive beaches for a little extra fun searching for Wild Horses! With all this there is still plenty of access to shopping and we're close to two fully stocked grocery stores (Harris Teeter and Food Lion).
