Maison en bois de style balinais à quelques pas de la plage

Fare Makana est une maison en bois de style balinais située dans un lotissement fermé sur la côte nord de l' île de Moorea , en Polynésie française.

Cette location de vacances à Moorea se trouve à quelques pas d'une jolie plage de sable blanc avec un lagon aux eaux claires et peu profondes. C'est grâce à un petit chemin situé juste devant la propriété que vous accéderez à la plage à seulement quelques mètres de distance.

La propriété dispose de 2 chambres et 1 mezzanine (toutes avec lits doubles + climatisation). Il y a deux salles de bains.
Le salon comprenant une cuisine entièrement équipée s'ouvre sur une terrasse avec vue sur le jardin. La mezzanine se trouve juste au-dessus du salon.

La 4ème chambre à coucher est un bungalow indépendant avec un lit double, et une salle de bain (douche, lavabo et wc), situé un peu en retrait de la maison principale.

La maison de vacances , Fare Makana , peut accueillir confortablement 8 personnes dans 4 lits doubles.
Nous  recommandons cette location pour une ou deux familles.
Les chambres sont climatisées et il y a aussi des ventilateurs à disposition.
Cette location de vacances non clôturée dispose d'un joli jardin arboré au bord d'un petit canal, et est équipé de 2 kayaks.
Vous pourrez descendre les kayaks facilement grâce à une petite descente à l'arrière du jardin qui mène au canal.

Le lotissement est quant à lui calme et charmant avec ses canaux.

La propriété n'est pas sécurisée pour les enfants, veuillez surveiller vos jeunes enfants à tout moment.
La maison est sur pilotis, et ne dispose d'aucune barrière autour de sa terrasse.
Elle est également située à proximité d'une petite lagune avec mise à l'eau sans barrière de sécurité.

Internet en WIFI (via la fibre optique) gratuit et un kayak sont à votre disposition pour votre séjour.

Idéalement situé, le Fare Makana est à seulement 5 minutes (voir moins) en voiture de divers commerces : magasins de perles, vêtements, souvenirs, banque, poste, restaurants, parcours de golf, aéroport, quais des ferries et plage publique.

A 5 min en voiture vous avez accès au supermarché Champion et Libre service Maharepa, à 8 min à l'entrée de la baie de Cook un petit magasin de proximité.

Une voiture est nécessaire pendant votre séjour car il n'y a pas de transport public à Moorea.

Beautiful stay

My husband and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon. We really enjoyed the extra space and stayed in one of the bungalows. The house is so thoughtfully built with gorgeous materials. The lagoon access was so nice and fun to explore via kayak. I can't recommend this place enough. We miss it already!

Beautiful home with access to very private lagoon

We enjoyed our stay in the Balinese style house. With a couple of the bedrooms separate from the main house, it offered more privacy for some members of our party of seven. The kitchen is well-stocked. There are two kayaks for us to use. Restaurants are close by. We especially enjoyed the access to the small lagoon which is good for snorkeling and kayaking.

The house is charming. It is located on a private side road that is hard to find. My only frustration was that the management company didn't send directions or check-in instructions until the day before we arrived. By that time, I was travelling and had no phone service. So, if you book, know that they will meet you at the house to unlock it. Insist on getting the directions beforehand.

Nice place but too many keys

We enjoyed the house and location but the number of keys to lock up the house was really crazy! Also, lighting in the bedrooms need improvement. Too dark. Very clean and open with good beach access. Too bad about the keys!

Beautiful Balinese Bungalow

The Balinese style house and bungalows are unique...a very different form of construction, with many sliding doors. The wood used is beautiful. The soffits are open and not screened which allows bugs into the house and the cold air from the A/C to escape. There is no A/C in the main part of the houses so it was very warm. The location is good and it really is just steps from the beach.

We found the property in good condition when we arrived. However, we quickly realized the property is completely open to all of the elements. That was not made clear in the listing and proved to be a real issue throughout our stay. There are no soffits throughout the property. During our stay within the first 24 hours we discovered mice in one of the bungalows. In that same bungalow the door lock broke as we were exiting for breakfast leaving our friends crawling out of their window to exit. Our friends ended up checking out early despite having paid because of the issues with mice. We expected geckos and bugs because of the location but mice are holistically unacceptable. I am giving it three stars because the hosts were nice and responsive. But please rent this home expecting to essentially camp with air conditioning in the bedrooms.

The property is designed with a Balinese open-air ceiling concept to promote natural ventilation, which is common in this residence as you saw. We understand that insects or rodents can occasionally appear in this type of environment, even though we do our best to prevent it. Regarding the mice, this is certainly not the standard we strive for. As soon as we were informed just like with the broken lock we took immediate measures to resolve the problems within the next hours even thought it was a public holiday date. Open Air Paradise

Gorgeous open-air home with Balinese architecture. 2 bedrooms ensuite are unattached bungalows with also a main floor master bedroom and upstairs loft with additional sleeping for 3. Great boat launch right from property to a small river which goes out into the lagoon and the private beach is a short walk away (and sunsets from the west). Good snorkeling but don't go out too far as there is a current. Also, if rain then sun, mosquitoes in the open-air home should be planned for. OVERALL, A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Amazing Balinese Bungalows

This property was amazing. we cam with our family, adult daughters and partners. there are multiple bungalows on property, with covered walkways between them. the wood work of the property is epic. stunning woodwork inside and out. its a super open floor plan ; but yet somehow the AC units still work amazing well if you want AC. we went in January and the heat was no problem , with fans and the rain. the property sits right on a canal that has instant kayak access to the lagoon. the two kayaks are great. would 10/10 recommend, and for sure we would come again.

Awesome location

We felt very comfortable in the neighborhood. The beach is like a one minute walk from the house. It’s very shallow for a long ways out, which was nice since we had some small children. Every room has a private bathroom except the one upstairs with the twin bed. There is also an additional bathroom attached to the outside of the house.The only negative things to say were there is definitely an ant problem: any food left around the sink and stove will immediately attract ants. Also any food dropped under the table will also bring in ants. There were lots of mosquitoes, so you definitely want to come with lots of bug spray. . I would recommend this house to come to Tahiti. We would definitely stay here again.Perfect for a family.

My wife already wants to go back.

This was my wife’s favorite place. It is clean and spacious. We stayed here with our two teenage children and my wife’s parents and had plenty of space. Three of the four bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The loft is perfect for kids. The loft has low ceilings. Our son is 6’4” and hit his head a few times. The other three rooms are terrific for couples or a family. The outdoor living space is fantastic. The beach is just across quiet gravel road and down a path. It is a beautiful quiet beach. Outdoor shower helps keep sand out of bedrooms when coming back from beach. We used the grill and enjoyed lots of local seafood. Can’t say enough about this place. It is peaceful, quiet and relaxing.

Family vacay

Amazing property for our family. The property is Just a 30 second walk to the beach/ocean with amazing snorkeling. The two bungalows allowed tween/teen boys to have their own space. Home was well-equipped with everything for cooking meals at home. Air con was great in the bedrooms and fans are provided. Bonus was Netflix/amazon access and exceptional wifi, better than what we currently have in Arizona. . The only downside was the amount of keys needed to access all the different rooms. Would be nice to have had one master key. Management was very responsive to a very small issue we had with a locked door.

The perfect stay for our family

What a great experience and lovely neighborhood. The checkin process was thorough and friendly. The house has so much space and privacy as there are two bungalow type bedroom/baths on the property that are semi-detached. There is a short path to the beach and the water is pristine and perfect for snorkeling and water time with kids. A car is needed as the nearest stores are a short drive away. Communication with property manager was great. We hope to return and would love to stay at this same property

Lovely comfortable house near beautiful beach

Lovely, clean house. 2 minutes walk to the beach. Great snorkeling and calm waters which was great for the kids. The only downside was the biting midges. Don’t know if that’s a seasonal thing or what. The house was well maintained and super clean. The only issue was losing power but that was resolve in a day. Overall it was a very nice experience. Laina, the property manager was super attentive.
