Great Location

Our trip was very nice. The house was a very easy location. I would recommend if you are traveling by air, make note, there are no beach towels. Important if you traveling with young kids. We had our adult family, so it was not an issue. Overall nice place and close to the beach.

Gathering of friends

6 friends from summer camp days gathered and had a great stay. The house was clean and the bedding especially nice! We’d be happy to stay here again! Despite expecting “no salt and pepper” there were several and instead of “no hairdryers” there were several. Appreciated. Judith

This house was absolutely perfect for us!! I’m extremely picky about places to stay as far as cleanliness and enough comfy seating in the living area, enjoyable outside areas, comfortable beds and spacious rooms! This house had it all! The check in process was extremely smooth and the house was spotless when we arrived! There were 12 of us including 7 adults and 5 children ages 11, 8, 4, 4 and 2 and we had plenty of room! The screened porch off of the den was an hit and there was room for us all! The elevator was a lifesaver for luggage. There are several little “nooks” if someone wants to get away to read or have a few minutes alone. The master closet could easily house an infant in a pack-n-play! The eating area was large. The cooking area was pretty tight but everything else made up for that! The pool was a GREAT size with an attached shallow area for the littles! We were told it couldn’t be heated but it was so that was a great surprise! The backyard and patio are very spacious unlike a lot of beach homes with pools. We took 2 golf carts The ONLY thing I would suggest is that if you have very small children, bring a baby gate for the top of the stairs that is attached to the main living area. It made us really nervous since we had a 2 year old.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had a wonderful time in IOP staying at this lovely home! The house was great and the pool was well-kept and clean. The owners have clearly thought about their guests and have a well-appointed home. There was a minor issue with the microwave and a service tech came out right away to fix it. We've been coming to IOP for decades and this was one of our very favorite homes.

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Island realty was courteous and responsive to the issues we encountered with our rental. The property location, size and space were good. Our main issue with the house was the pool, grill and patio were not properly cleaned when we arrived. The house is also showing it's age. It needs a deep cleaning for areas of mold especially in shower and bath areas. The property did meet our needs, but based upon it's rental cost, we would look at other comparable rentals in the future.
VrboOwner a répondu le 14 juill. 2022
Thank you for your review. It was unfortunate that you arrived during the tropical storm that was off the coast this did bring us torrential rainfall which continued throughout your stay. Due to the large amount of rain and flooding, any pool cleaning that had been completed, was quickly undone by the storm and winds. Sometimes mother nature does not work with us. As soon as the storm passed the pool companies, were able to service the pools and blow off the decks as is their protocol. Regarding the mildew that formed over the shower, our sincere apologies. This does happen when the exhaust fan is not run, over time it can begin to spot. I did not see where you reported this to us, we would have loved the opportunity to have remedied this. This is a quick fix; we would have been happy to jump out and to have wiped down the ceiling for you. Again, our apologies. Please know that the house was recently painted throughout and is accurately represented on our website. Thank you for your feedback.

Family Beach Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 10 just spent the most wonderful week at this vacation home. We loved morning coffee on the porch and then walking our granddaughter to the playground at the rec center a few blocks away. The beach is also a very short walk. The pool was clean and the backyard felt like a tropical oasis. Beautiful landscaping! The house had a few pool floats and toys and a great beach wagon. The outdoor grill was great! Some of us had to log in for remote work and set up by the pool or at the kitchen table. Would be nice to have a small desk in the sitting area beside the kitchen. Ping Pong was a hit with everyone and it was nice to have that downstairs refrigerator for extra storage. There were a few puzzles and games in a chest. The master bed was very comfortable! The elevator helped get luggage and groceries up and down. Highly recommend Islander 71 and Acme for great seafood dinners out. And Sea Biscuit for breakfast! The kitchen had everything you needed and more. Bonus with two coffee pots so we could make decaf and regular! Everyone loved this house. Would definitely stay again! Thanks for everything!

Has Great Potential

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in an awesome location and is a great layout so everyone has their space. The yard and pool are nice and there is privacy from the neighbors. The kitchen is well stocked and there are a number of chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys for a day at the beach. However, the house needs some serious TLC. Seemed as if it has been rented back to back without having a deep (needed) cleaning. Also, some mattresses are worn and need replacement. The pool had a lot of sand in the bottom and there was a bikini bathing suit top at the bottom of the pool and a pair of false eyelashes on the patio next to the pool. Some of the pots and pans needed to be scrubbed before we could use them. The kitchen cabinet knobs were sticky. The burners on the outdoor grill need replacement. We were also surprised that some bathrooms had no toilet paper and some were missing hand towels. And carpeting in bedrooms could use some steam cleaning. With some needed TLC this would be an awesome beach vacation home and we would recommend it. (NOTE: We did contact the rental company the morning after we arrived about the pool and they did send the pool company over to clean it. We did not contact the realty company on all our concerns as we were there only three days.)

The shower curtain in the primary bathroom has mildew on it. There was food in the sofa cushions. It could be cleaner. There should be a full bathroom on the first level as 2 bedrooms did not have access to a bathroom. More cleaning supplies and beach towels should be provided.

Great beach house!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this for our annual family beach week and we were very pleased with this house. The property was very clean on arrival; the check in process was simple. The house was one block from the beach access which made it very easy to get kids/equipment to and from the beach. It was 2 blocks from the IOP recreation department and we enjoyed the large playground that was partially in the shade in the morning. Very easy for everyone to bike to the playground. This is a great area for a family vacation - there's so much to do or you can just do nothing! This house has a lovely pool area and handy outdoor shower plus hand held faucet to rinse off all the beach sand! The upstairs porch area was comfortable and often had a nice breeze. We spent many hours out there. The living room area also had comfortable couches and chairs that met our needs as a larger group. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies - it wasn't a large kitchen but we knew that from the photos. The second refrigerator in the garage area was appreciated for beverages - there was only so much room in the side-by-side refrigerator in the kitchen. All of the bedrooms were more spacious than other rentals we've had in previous years. We had a very memorable week!
