It was great having Dee and her family visit the lake house. They were terrific guests and we would be glad to have them back anytime. It was good to hear that they enjoyed the fishing and that they brought ingredients to make smore's. Those two things do seem to be a highlight for many of our families. As reflected in our previous reviews, over our years of hosting, we have had many happy guests who stayed at our house and have come back. This house is rented out and managed by us as the owners and we always respond to our guests. Lacy informed us within 5 minutes after booking that she booked the wrong property and wanted to cancel. We advised her to cancel and to get a refund, but, she refused. After checking-in, Lacy called or texted every hour with different complaints. She couldn't find the switch for the dining room lights on the wall, she couldn't figure out how to drain the bathroom tub, and she couldn't open any of the doors. All of this escalated after Lacy broke all 3 exterior doors in the house. Our carpenter had to fix all the doors after Lacy left. Lacy kept calling our personal cell phone and demanded that we connect her with vrbo customer service, something we can’t even do. We understand Lacy was going through a very difficult time in her life and we wish her the best. We only regret that she chose us and our house to take her frustration out on. We want all our future guests to know we care tremendously about their experience and time here. The house is located on 29 acres of land with only one other neighbor on the property. As you can see from the many reviews it is a beautiful place. We love hosting people from all over the world and look forward to future visits.
