With the amount of windows we have , pulling the shades in the living room and bedrooms in the afternoon make a big difference. I had just had the A/C serviced that is why the questions.

We really enjoyed having this guest and her family stay at our lake home We saw them a couple of times and there was never a mention of any issues; it was always 'everything was great". When the guest left she thanked me for a wonderful time, not one mention of any issues, even sent me a text thanking me for a wonderful time. I only heard of issues after I held their security deposit and put in a claim 1. As for cleanliness, there was a large crowd before them and it was a difficult clean. I paid for 10 hours of cleaning before she moved in. There were two new girls on the team so it is possible that things were overlooked.If it was as bad as stated why wasn't this brought to my attention at the time of check in so I could have made this right.The team leader said that the vacuum had to be emptied twice, so I know they vacuum. 2. Tile broken and blood in shower. The team leader discovered the blood when she went to clean the shower and at that time noticed the cracked tile.From her notes she stated it looked like some one had nicked an artery.The shower had to be cleaned once and bleached twice to remove all the blood. From her notes she emphatically states the tiles wasn't broken before this tenant. When I approached my guest regarding the broken shower tile and a fair amount of blood in the shower,her exact reply was " I don't know what to say. I have checked with everyone and no one has any idea how to explain it". Yet in her review she now states that she noticed the cracked tile halfway through the week! Same with the blood, no one knew anything about any issue with blood until I filed a claim! Now she is claiming there was blood in the downstairs shower.This really seemed odd being brought up after I had asked her about the blood in the upstairs shower! I did hold her security deposit and put in a claim which I had to do within 14 days. Due to a holiday weekend, I am unable to have a tile person in until next week Hopefully they can shed some light on this or tell me how it can be fixed. I am not moving forward with a claim until I have all the facts. This is difficult for me as an owner I do not want to keep anyone's money, I don't want this hassel and bad feelings . Yet when there is damage and I try to collect or resolve the issues I get a bad review.

Thank you Greg for the realistic review. If you consider renting next year you will be glad to know the rest of the parts( back ordered) for our heat pump install arrived and the pumps are now up and running in the main living area and the larger upstairs bedroom. The smaller upstairs bedroom we may try to do next year when supply is better. That room is usually the cooler of the two. The people that came onto your beach, I apologize for. We were away and were notified that a boat was put on the wrong mooring. We called for a helper but neglected to tell the gentleman that your beach was private and not to use your dingy. That was all our fault and thank you for your help .The people in the caretakers unit usually stay by themselves. I am sorry for the neighborhood dog. We are trying everything to keep him off this property . I am talking with the owner and hopefully will receive some cooperation. I am glad you enjoyed most of the home especially the beauty of the view. You were great renters and would love to see you again!
