Second stay for us! Will do a third!!

Wine Time is a perfect accommodation for a couple who enjoys sitting on nice decks, fishing in the canal, enjoying sunsets! Quiet neighborhood, kitchen well supplied, clean, comfortable beds, two couhter/sink spaces in the bathroom! Highly recommend this place!

Went for wife's birthday. It was during spring break and didn't want to stay on the Seawall. Nice area, great beach close by and house was perfect for two guests

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been visiting Galveston for years and had never stayed on the canals, and Wine Time did not disappoint! As I watched my husband fish from the dock, I drank wine under the palm trees. We kayaked the canals in the evening and watched as sun faded out of view, bringing our days to the end atop the spacious deck...with wine in hand of course! If you are looking for a charming cottage feel, far removed from noise and chaos; Wine Time is your go to place.

Beautiful location on the canal. We did a lot of boating things and location was perfect. House is open concept and very comfortable and clean. Beautiful deck views.

Great retreat for Couples

Loved layout of this one bedroom property! The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked most all meals during our stay. My husband fished off the canal from the first floor and caught several good sized whiting. Great sunset view on the bayside. Property managers were excellent to work with if we had any questions. Plenty of seating options on the deck or inside.

When it was time for check-in, I ended up having to call the host and that’s when I was told I needed to go pick up the keys from the rental office right infront of the neighborhood. Other than that, no surprises. We easily dropped them off before 11am check out. The unit had a lift so made bringing our heavy ice chest up much easier. The place was nice and cool with well working AC. We enjoyed the green fishing lights and fishing and swimming off the dock. They had chairs and I even noticed a projector screen down below. It even came with even an extra half bathroom on the first floor which was helpful. Comfortable bed, all kitchen tools present. Claw foot bathtub was so nice. Two separate sink areas was a plus. We will for sure be back to this property. It was just what we needed!

Nice Getaway

I really liked the property (as a stand alone). It was very nice, great location, very restful and well furnished. However it was quite awkward having to share the site with another group - one that had several large vehicles in the drive and on the street, visitors each day.. a holiday gathering on the property.... if you want to feel like you have a rental place to yourself - this is not it. luckily we stayed busy out doing things most of the time and only had to deal with the others that rented the larger house in the mornings and the evenings.

Not quite like the photos

Photos are not up to date. The upstairs deck does not have the furniture in the photo. Wood deck pieces are coming up and tripping hazard. Nails sticking out. Quite dangerous. Main door’s deadbolt does not work and the floor is warped so opening the door is very difficult. Requires two hands to even shut the door. Basic maintenance is non existent.

Weekend getaway

We will start with the good stuff first. The inside of this rental is really cute and is what you see in the pictures, a really nice plus was they have a counter top ice maker so ice was always on hand. The location is wonderful on this canal for fishing and we actually caught a few but no keepers but this time of year that is to be expected. Now the downside. The downstairs is like Sanford and son. So much junk everywhere. Grass not mowed, thick weeds barely can walk about the place. Lots of hazards. Outside furniture alot of it is broken, moldy and junk everywhere. For this price and off season a big no. The owner was on site and we met him. The American and Texan flag that people complained about almost two years ago are worse. He said he was going to take them down the next day and remove the ladder that was laying on the ground he never did. The electrical around the boat dock i didn't trust at all it blew the first night that we plugged in the green light. The water hoses are all dry rotted so you can rinse anything off. The pictures on line are not what you are getting. The parking can be tough also, you share it with the main house so if you have more than one vehicle i don't know where you will park. I will use the rental office again but will not rent this place.

Unfortunately, the outside of the house did not meet your expectations and all the items you have mentioned will be taken care of. Flags have been replaced and lights added so they can be seen at night. Electrical has been replaced for fishing lights, and all outdoor furniture is being reviewed and replaced. Thank you for your input and we look forward to exceeding your expectations next time."

Galveston was an interesting city but we were disappointed with the ocean color, Mississippi mud brown, and we (each 70) were not about to get in water. Local eating establishments limited. If you have a big crew bring along extra toilet and paper towels as “inventory” was sparse.

Wonderful Anniversary Trip

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this amazing place on Jamaica Beach. I love to fish and caught several different kind right from the property. My husband enjoyed reading and relaxing in the hammock which only minor interruption when I had two poles and catching two fish at a time. The house was lovely and the bed so comfortable, we are looking to replace our bed at home. We met the owners on the first day who happened to be at adjacent property that they also own. They were very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Cool little spot

This place was great! It was the perfect spot for myself, husband and 10yr old. Great view with deck to have your coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. Will definitely book again.
