Superbe cabane nordique moderne sur cinq hectares idylliques

Une cabine rĂ©cemment construite dans Old Timberline, conçue par un architecte et nordique et moderne, avec quatre chambres Ă  coucher et deux salles de bain. Terrain plat, entourĂ© de beaux grands pins. À distance de marche des kilomĂštres de sentiers de conservation et du refuge faunique de la vallĂ©e de Canaan. AccĂšs facile au Dolly Sods Wilderness depuis le quartier. À quelques minutes des stations de ski White Grass et Canaan Valley. Ou tout simplement explorer la nature boisĂ©e derriĂšre la cabane!

La cabine est une oeuvre d'art! ÉlĂ©gant, mais confortable, avec une cuisiniĂšre en bois, un bois de chauffage abondant, des murs revĂȘtus de bois et des plafonds de salon imposants (24 pieds de haut). D'immenses fenĂȘtres intĂšgrent la cabine Ă  son cadre magnifique. DerriĂšre la cabine se trouve un terrain boisĂ© magique qui s'Ă©tend sur plusieurs acres.

La cabine a beaucoup de commoditĂ©s - TV satellite, wifi, bon accĂšs cellulaire, Wii et jeux, Atari old-school et jeux, un tĂ©lĂ©viseur Samsung Frame (fait ressembler Ă  une Ɠuvre d'art encadrĂ©e quand Ă©teint, pour Ă©viter de saper le charme), haut-parleurs Bluetooth, platine vinyle, ordinateur iMac, livres et jeux de sociĂ©tĂ©, jouets, lave-vaisselle, lave-linge sĂ©chant, poubelle, mijoteuse, cafetiĂšre, micro-ondes et une collection Ă©clectique de meubles modernes datant du milieu du siĂšcle. Beaucoup d'espace de rangement partout. Ventilateurs de plafond dans presque toutes les piĂšces. Chaque chambre est une chambre d'angle avec des fenĂȘtres qui s'ouvrent sur les deux murs extĂ©rieurs. TrĂšs spacieux et lumineux tout au long.

Le premier Ă©tage comprend une cuisine amĂ©ricaine bien Ă©quipĂ©e, un espace salle Ă  manger et un espace salon avec un poĂȘle Ă  ventre. Il y a aussi un vestiaire pour mettre et enlever les chaussures de ski, une buanderie, une chambre principale et une salle de bain avec douche. A l'Ă©tage, il y a trois autres chambres et une deuxiĂšme salle de bain avec baignoire.

Il y a des porches Ă  l'avant et Ă  l'arriĂšre. Le porche arriĂšre comprend un coin repas couvert et un barbecue Ă  gaz. DerriĂšre la cabine, il y a une corde lĂąche et un hangar avec un cerceau de basket-ball, des balles, des jeux de pelouse (croquette, trou Ă  maĂŻs), un kayak de la taille d'un enfant et quelques paires de raquettes et de vĂ©los. Il y a gĂ©nĂ©ralement du bois de chauffage stockĂ©, que vous pouvez utiliser dans le poĂȘle Ă  ventre.

Wonderful Cabin

The cabin was spectacular! It has a modern design with a woodsy feel. It was well stocked and very comfortable. The kitchen and bedrooms were quite lovely. The location could not have been better. Lots of hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. I only wish we could have spent more time there. Hoping we can come back soon.

Great Place for a Getaway

We had a fantastic trip at the property. Everything was as advertised and as pictured online. We loved the decor and especially enjoyed the game of matching the furniture to the poster on the wall! There were toys, books, and legos for the kids and a fun vinyl collection for the adults. Great place in Canaan Valley - we will be back again!

Perfect getaway

The house is stylish and clean, all amenities worked well, the surrounding area offered wonderful walks and easy to get to restaurants and shops. Any issues were addressed quickly, and the host remained available and pleasant. Our family of six had a great time, and we can’t wait to visit again.

Josh is a wonderful host, and his place is flawless. Great for families, great for couples. Can’t recommend it enough (although I’d love to keep it a secret for selfish reasons). Enjoy the hospitality, the nearby trails, and Timberline access.

Location, location, location

This is our second year staying at Josh’s cabin. If it’s clean enough for my mother in law, than it’s clean enough for anyone :) The location for those who love Canaan Valley and Dolly Sods could not be more perfect. Plus, Josh is a super conscientious host. My advice: just book the cabin.

Beautiful Property, Amazing Area and Wonderful Hosts - Perfect!

My husband and I stayed a week at the property in early May. The design of the house is perfect, very clean with an amazing floorplan and features. We loved the smell of cedar, and the large windows provided a great view of the property. We immediately felt at home, and thoroughly enjoyed wine on the deck and listening to their records and other music on the house sound system. The neighborhood is perfect for walking, and in good proximity to many fantastic hiking trails. The nearby small towns offered great local shopping, restaurants and a brewery. Josh and his wife were perfect hosts, promptly helping us with any questions and needs that we had. We highly recommend the property and the hosts, and would love to stay here again. Thank you for an amazing trip!

Fabulous cabin!

We had a fantastic time (coming for a long weekend mainly to ski at Timberline Mountain). The cabin is fantastic -- great style and design choices, thoughtfully layed out, and well provisioned. Josh is communicative and provides a lot of helpful tips for making the most of the area!

Wonderful getaway from DC

We had an incredible time at Josh’s house—no surprise since we rented it last year too. It’s a beautiful house in a great location, close to both Timberline and Canaan Valley mountains, with great hiking for kids around the house. The kitchen is well equipped, the wood burning stove and record player are delights, and Josh is a great host! Couldn’t ask for more.

New Years family getaway

Had a fabulous time with our three children. Highlights include proximity to Timberline mountain, nearby walking trails and abundant natural light and space in the cabin. Plenty of games and activities for children and adults within the cabin and outdoors. The kitchen was a delight to cook in and well-stocked. Loved playing the records on hand as well. Updated home in prime location for outdoor lovers

What a gem! We had a terrific stay--the property is updated, clean, well-appointed, well-stocked, and so cozy. Staying in a gated community gave us terrific access to some amazing hikes. The house was beautiful and very comfortable, and the owners generously share all the best with their guests. I've never stayed in a vacation rental with such a well-stocked kitchen--there wasn't a utensil lacking for our stay. The owner provided the basics too, so we didn't have to lug toilet paper, hand soap, or shampoo. We enjoyed the slackline, watching the deer grazing in the yard, sampling the great record collection, playing with Legos, and simply relaxing at the house between hikes. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate with, and even checked in on us during our stay. Blackwater Falls, Dolly Sods, and Canaan Wildlife Refuge were great (Freeland Rd boardwalk). Ice cream in town was great, but lots of dining options have limited days/hours of operation, or were unexpectedly out of business. Plan your meals accordingly! I would definitely love to return for another getaway @ Timberline!

Even Better Second Time

We brought the kids for our second visit to the cabin, and we enjoyed it just as much as our (much quieter) first visit. We did a nearby hike with them, but we really didn’t need to leave at all with the slackline, cornhole, hammock, tons of kids’ books, and the bunk beds all at the cabin. It was the perfect long weekend getaway.

Excellent property and management

My family enjoyed our four-day stay here at this clean, comfortable, and well-appointed property. Very quiet and peaceful, great community. Property management/owners could not have been better at communication and were a pleasure to do business with. House has everything you need.....including instructions on how to take advantage of it all... we will be back!

Stunning cabin with everything you need (even the things you didn’t know you needed)

This cabin is beautiful—decorated thoughtfully and meaningfully, with midcentury modern/Scandinavian decor and vintage prints as well Tempurpedic pillows, comfy bedding and extras of pretty much everything. The house is incredibly stocked—with everything from spices, oil, etc. to toiletries and laundry detergent. Josh provides a guide book containing tons of trails maps—with hand-notated points of interest (including kid-friendly spots) and various trail running route lengths. There’s plenty to do even if you don’t want to leave the cabin; we were surprised at the time we spent listening to records and playing Atari. It was just so easy to enjoy our time here, and we really felt like we were in a home. Can’t wait to get back next year.

Great modern place

We loved the high ceilings, Scandinavian modern furnishings and lots of windows. Since it rained quite a bit, we spent time on the two covered decks reading/relaxing. Would definitely recommend this modern cabin for a relaxing get-away.
