Le lac Newnans se trouve Ă  8 km du centre-ville de Gainesville, Ă  11 km du campus d’UF et Ă  13 km de l’aĂ©roport rĂ©gional de Gainesville. Le lac Newnans est le secret le mieux gardĂ© de Gainesville avec une nature et une faune abondantes. Je l'appelle mon coin de paradis. Cet appartement de 1250 mÂČ Ă  l'Ă©tage donne sur notre propre bosquet d'agrumes. Il y a un grand Ă©tang de carpes koĂŻ sur la propriĂ©tĂ© avec une cascade. TrĂšs calme et tranquille ici. Vous ĂȘtes entourĂ© d'Ɠuvres d'art originales dans tout l'appartement. C'est un endroit idĂ©al pour se dĂ©tendre aprĂšs une journĂ©e bien remplie. Greg’s place is a fantastic value if you’re attending a Gator game! The location makes the drive to the stadium on game easy- we didn’t encounter much traffic and easily got a Lyft. Greg is an enthusiastic host excited to share his history and artwork on arrival. He brought us citrus from his grove and best of all, let us use his bikes to ride down to the lake. I had a wonderful time here. Everything was beautifully arranged inside the house. There’s very nice pottery and artwork decorating the walls. I’m happy about my timing because the Orange, Grapefruit, and lemon trees were loaded with fruit! Greg was a fantastic host who is very knowledgeable about many things but especially the surrounding area and the state of Florida. I highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful time in this natural setting. Greg was a fantastic host and gave us a thorough tour of the property along with it's history. This upstairs apartment was beautifully decorated, and very complete with everything we needed. It felt like home being there. The surroundings were natural, serene, and peaceful. It was still just a short drive to Gainesville and the University of Florida. We hope to stay there again when we return to Gainesville.

This place is an amazing find. Host is welcoming and you can tell how much pride he takes in his property. It is a quite spot close to, but away from the crowds at the University. We saw a momma deer and her two fawns, and found the tree frogs on the windows at night amusing. Definitely plan on staying again when Iwe are Gainesville.

Relaxing and comfortable March stay!

We were in Gainesville so i could compete at the World Indoor Masters Championships ay the end of March and this property was a the perfect place for us to have as a base. The location was quiet and peaceful with lots of local wildlife to enjoy around the apartment. We particularly enjoyed the historical touches around the apartment and the shower was a highlight! We would love to come back.

Very pleasant

Beautifully maintained and very comfortable. I was able to enjoy my family and relax with my daughter, who attends UF. I was able to make home cooked meals and catch up on life without the UF hustle and bustle. Greg was a fantastic host and we will be back! rk to share (atehere).

A Gainesville Gem

Greg has created a remarkable property for those seeking a quiet get-a-way. He was a perfect concierge upon arrival and we truly appreciated his knowledge of the area he has called home for so many years. In addition to a beautiful kitchen, large bedroom and a spacious, bathroom, Greg's home includes a wonderfully curated collection of items from his own family history. In addition to the many migratory birds we watched while sipping our coffee and tea, there were plenty of wild turkeys to watch and we even had a quick appearance of a fox! This was a wonderful place to stay and we hope to come again.

Quiet, Historic Space

Greg's apartment is extremely clean, well appointed, and comfortable, especially if you need some peace and quiet and don't want to deal with Gainesville traffic!

Mini Get Away

We came to Gainesville to visit the local state parks. Greg's apartment was the perfect place to stay in the area. Great neighborhood and very comfortable apartment. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a Floridian road trip. Greg is an amazing host, his communication was 1st class from the moment we booked until we departed. The property is wonderful, full of character and we enjoyed learning about the history of the property and the artefacts within. We were here to enjoy the local wildlife, of which there is plenty, including many bird species in the garden. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Most relaxing place!

My sister and I were in the area for a big family shindig over New Year’s even and day, and we wanted a place to retreat from the craziness
..Greg’s place was just that and more!Quiet, relaxing, well-appointed, and clean.Greg was available and gracious as a host, but not at all intrusive. He was also a wealth of information about the area. I would definitely stay there again, if I was in the area, and would not hesitate to recommend it to singles, ( including women, it was a very safe place), a couple, or family.

Quiet Oasis Infused With Art & History

This apartment is full of culture; art of multiple mediums and historical memorabilia, passed down through generations. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. And the shower is amazing! I wish I’d booked a longer visit. Hope to stay here again.

Very involved in a open and affirming church that is involved in social justice. I'm a free-lance graphic designer/photographer. Very outgoing and love interaction with all people. You will find out that I love history, especially family history that dates back to 1632 as Massachusetts Bay Colonists. I am single and have a grown daughter and grandson that lives out of town. I have a female shetland sheepdogs that are almost 11 years old and a total joy to be with.

Looking for peace and quiet and enjoy what nature has to offer, look no further. This estate is on 1.5 acres located within the Alachua County Conservation Area. If you are a birder, this area is a migratory bird path according to the Audubon Society. You will not only see water birds, but also eagle, osprey, hawks and bard owls. Currently I have a doe with her two fawns that visit daily. Of course I feed them deer corn!
After birding, biking or hiking get a massage from me!

The apartment is filled with artwork produced by my parents who founded the Jacksonville Watercolor Society. The furnishing are first class with historical artifacts throughout. It's almost like a museum.
