We appreciate the feedback. The sink in the spare bedroom is actually getting replaced at the end of April. The other bathroom was updated last year, so I don't think that bathroom is "tired." I am not sure that a three-star review is fair so hopefully that was just a mistype. Thanks again for your stay.

Oh, Margaret, your review is a masterpiece of unfairness. It’s fascinating how you managed to stay silent throughout your entire visit, only to suddenly discover a wealth of complaints once you left. Truly, we must commend your patience. Just to clarify, when you arrived, there was a dust storm—because, you know, this property is in the desert. Expecting the patio to be spotless during a dust storm is a level of optimism that we can only aspire to. And if reaching out for assistance was too much of a hassle during your stay, we apologize for not being mind-readers. Our cleaning crew would have gladly come over to clean up the patio if you had just asked. Such a shame that fairness isn't a universal trait among guests.

Do Not Rent to this Anonymous Person The fact that the review was left anonymously should tell you all you need to know (so unfortunately, you’ll be unable to avoid renting to them). First, we had to follow up multiple times for the final payment before they arrived. Second, the guest was incredibly condescending and rude, reminding me and my wife that she is a doctor and her husband is a judge, yelling, and she even hung up on me. Third, it is true that my wife and I stayed in the property a few days before this guest’s arrival, and as disgusting as it was to the guest, it was equally embarrassing to us, that I did leave CLEAN clothes in one of the drawers (we’ve reminded our cleaning crew to check for this). Fourth, the listing doesn’t mention access to the garage as we’ve never provided access to the garage. We store our car, golf cart, and all of our personal items in there. Fifth, the shower worked for us and our cleaning crew only a couple days before their arrival. And lastly, all of the technology is new, and the instructions have been adequate for others. P.S. This renter has no reviews so I doubt they are being truthful about being “long time VRBO customers”…

I’m offended by the mischaracterization of our property. Addressing Margaret’s issues one by one as follows. 1) Margaret arrived two days before the trash is picked up, so they were full, not overflowing; and they are required by the HOA to be kept in the courtyard, so there is nothing we can do about where they were located. 2) Most of the other concerns were with the quality of the cleanliness of the unit. We have terminated the cleaning service responsible for the unit, as this is the 2nd negative review we’ve received. We also sent another cleaner to the unit to completely re-clean the unit, as we agreed that the condition was unacceptable. The sinks are porcelain covered cast-iron sinks, and there are chips. We have a full remodel of the master bath scheduled for the offseason, so we haven’t replaced the sinks or made the minor repairs mentioned by Margaret. They are functional and normally very clean. When I spoke with Margaret about these issues, she’s had only ever stayed in hotel operated villas, and I think she should probably stick with that route. I would point to the vast majority of our reviews on VRBO and AirBNB which reflect a 5 Star rating and commendations for cleanliness, appearance, and consistency with the listing. We love our unit and use it frequently with our two young daughters.
