Water's Edge a vraiment une vision d'un million de dollars. Peu de cabines pourraient offrir un si beau décor, dans le méandre de la rivière ELLIJAY et regardant loin en aval. 3 chambres avec lit king-size, chacune avec télévision, 2 salles de bain. Cour clôturée, Animaux acceptés. Géré par les cabines Sliding Rock. Pourquoi ne pas rôtir le S'mores dans le foyer en bordure de rivière, peut-être tenter votre chance à la pêche à la mouche, plonger dans le grand bain à remous ou simplement vous reposer toute la journée dans le hamac au bord de l’eau en écoutant les eaux apaisantes. Vous pouvez même vous diriger vers votre cabine ou chercher de l'or. Plus tard, blottissez-vous devant la cheminée à bois et regardez un vieux film. Quoi que vous décidiez, vous apprécierez la tranquillité et la quiétude de Water's Edge. Pas d'enfants de moins de 8 ans s'il vous plaît. Pas de chats s'il vous plaît.

So relaxing

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was one of the most relaxing vacations ever. The sound of the rapids removed all the stress, better than a massage. The only reason the location did not get a 5 is the fact there is a cabin right next door and the privacy fence only goes so far and there is very limited privacy when you are in the fenced yard.

Not for people uncomfortable on 1 lane gravel/dirt mountain roads

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have to start with the good. It has a great fenced in area for dogs. It is right on the river and has a great fire pit we used every day to make smores. The cabin is cozy and has 2 fireplaces. it was relaxing and my kids and dogs loved it! a few notes: we did let the management company know the bathroom upstairs was not draining properly when showering. Hopefully it just needs some draino. but the shower was also not clean when we arrived and had hair still in it. we used alcohol we brought to clean it quickly ourselves. the drive going back in a van was rough especially in the rain. the van was not pulling the hills and we are not used to pulling off to let someone else pass especially when the other drivers were FLYING by. My husband was a nervous wreck trying to get in and out of this location. the people in the next cabin over were also going out into their hot tub...with no clothes on. so we had to close blinds and make sure the kids were not ever looking that way. they also were letting their dog out everytime we let ours out and then it was fights through the fence. Recommendations: get food you need and bring it withe you the first time. drive slow slow bc people are not looking for you coming around the corners (blind spots). they really need to hang those round blind spot mirrors in some trees to help. Try and back into the parking area so you can pull straight out.

Beautiful Views

The yard is large and well fenced for the three dogs we brought along. It is well laid out for pet owners. The gas grill was clean and ready to use. For me, I wish the couches sat higher up. It was hard on my knees. The kitchen is small if you are a cook, but you can make it work. Very relaxing and I would stay again.

The river and view are incredible! Not a dealbreaker but the kitchen and third bedroom are tiny. It wasn’t a problem for us since we had a total of four people but if you have more, it would be quite “cozy”. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Not so peaceful river stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I brought our dog for a peaceful week celebrating our wedding anniversary. The neighborhood and the cabin had other plans. Starting from the first morning of our stay, and continuing throughout our entire reservation, the cabin above us on the hill had construction noise from 8am until around 4pm. Power washing, chain saws, mowers and blowers, and hammers and drills. Every single day. We could not enjoy being outside in/by the river as planned. Inside the cabin left a lot to be desired as well. There was a very strong odor of ammonia present inside. I believe there may have been a dead animal in the crawl space. The smell worsened as the a/c came on, so we tried to leave the windows and doors open as much as possible. We also purchased air fresheners to attempt to mask the odor, unsuccessfully. Aside from the smell, there was also a layer of dirt on the floor that caused us to want to keep our shoes on while walking inside. We even found old dog toys under the couch as further evidence that the cabin had not been properly cleaned before our stay. The first floor bathroom toilet seat showed an unacceptable amount of wear and missing paint. The blinds are old and tangled so they cannot be opened properly. The furniture on the screened in porch was terribly uncomfortable but appeared to be brand new. Spending a few more dollars to get quality cushions would have gone a long way in making the best view from the cabin a lot more comfortable. Another issue that we encountered was a lack of privacy. The photos make the cabin seem very isolated. However, there is another cabin just feet away from the yard on the hot tub side of the house, as well as the cabin above Waters Edge that is clearing a pathway all the way down to the river on the other side. With all that being said, Waters Edge does provide a well stocked kitchen, modern appliances, and quality linens. We also felt the communications with the staff were all prompt and professional.

April 2023 Stay

My family and I had an amazing time! The cabin is absolutely beautiful. It did end up raining all day Saturday while we were there, but there was plenty of room on the back porch and inside for us to hang out and play card games. The cabin was very clean, right on the water, and had a fenced in back yard for our doggie. Definitely would recommend to others!
