Cette maison de 3 chambres à coucher et 2 salles de bain est l’endroit idéal pour s’évader, tout en restant pratique pour tout ce que le Maryland, le Delaware et la Pennsylvanie ont à offrir. À quelques minutes de la zone de gestion des ressources naturelles de Fair Hill pour les cavaliers, les vététistes, les randonneurs et les amoureux de la nature. L'université du Delaware est à 10 minutes en voiture pour assister à un match de football, célébrer son commencement ou profiter des avantages du centre-ville de Newark. Les autres attractions locales ne manquent pas, notamment les vergers, les vignobles, les brasseries, la navigation de plaisance et la pêche. À seulement une heure de Baltimore ou de Philadelphie et non loin des principales autoroutes, ce qui en fait une escapade parfaite avec un trafic minimal.

The Appleton retreat was a pleasure to stay at. We are typically in the area annually and were delighted that Sharon shared her family friendly home with us. We hope to be able to stay again in the future. Sharon has obviously worked hard to make this a home away from home. It was so nice to allow our two 3 year old grandsons time to enjoy running in the yard, playing on the swing, collecting branches for the fire pit and of course the daily train whistle’s. Thank you for a comfortable and relaxing stay (as relaxing as a stay with 2 toddlers can be ).

The Appleton Retreat was literally incredible! I highly recommend booking this beautiful home!!! We were traveling for a lacrosse tournament (kirkwood sportsplex- New Castle, Delaware) and this home was far better priced than the hotels by the field. The ride was so quick and easy and it truly was the best stay we ever had! I loved being able to wash his uniform in between tournament days and make the whole family home cooked meals, which really was the best! The home was exceptionally clean!!!! Literally spotless and so spacious! I was shocked how big the house is!! We had SO much space and were able to really relax! Maybe silly to point out, but the beds were made so nicely! I loved the thoughtful layers, extra blankets, pillows and literally anything you could ever need for kids of all ages. The kitchen window view was my absolute favorite part of the home. I also enjoyed sitting on the front porch. The yard was so beautiful and nice for my kids to run around in. We truly felt so at home and comfortable! I would have paid double to stay here, I loved it so much! I absolutely will be staying again!!

The house was very very well equipped. Better than many we have stayed (ex. I brought my own crockpot…didn’t need it because there was one available). Everything was super clean and comfortable. Great beds and bedding and the layout and being all on one level was perfect for my mother who has walking difficulties. We were there to celebrate my mom’s birthday and it was the perfect weekend all around. Thank you Sharon for sharing your lively home with us. We will most definitely be back!!

Great stay at a beautiful property just minutes from Fair Hill!

We had such a great time at Sharon's property! A few friends and I stayed for a horse show at Fair Hill, and the proximity and comfort of this house is unbeatable! We're hoping to come back soon :)

Wonderful Stay In Elkton, MD

We could not have asked for a better place to stay while visiting our grandchildren. The house gave us plenty of room to enjoy the grands and make many memories..so much better than a hotel! The house had all the comforts of home and is beautifully decorated. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in the area.

Great Location

My family had a wonderful stay here! Very clean, well equipped, and plenty of space for everyone! I really appreciated the beds being so comfortable and also having blackout curtains- which helped us all sleep really well! Location is easy to get to. Will be back!!

This is our fifth stay at Appleton retreat. This is our go to place to come to when we have our annual event in the area. We stayed for two days and enjoyed having the comforts of home. The kitchen had everything we needed, and I even took advantage of grabbing some warm apple cider donuts at Millburn farmers market down the street. The location is very convenient to everything. Communications with the host was super responsive and the house is clean. Look forward to our next stay!

Awesome return stay

Sharon is extremely responsive and our stay at Appleton. Retreat was awesome as usual. It’s like our home away from home. Enjoyed being able to hit blackberry and blueberry picking close by. Can’t wait to return!
