Our flights were cancelled and we were delayed by 3 days, the owner kindly extended our trip by 2 days without further charge. The communication and kindness were outstanding. The property is beautifully kitted out, everything we needed and more. Would love to stay again.

My friend and I just returned home from our second trip to the Woodland Retreat and are going to book again for next year. It is in a beautiful location with incredible views. The cottage itself is cosy and extremely well equipped. It's also in a good spot for Crieff, Perth and Auchterarder/Gleneagles, so there's plenty to do in and around the location. We love the wildlife and this year didn't disappoint! From the cottage we saw, red deer, roe deer, red squirrels, jays, woodpeckers and the highlight was the two hares we saw on two different occasions, frolicking on the lawn. It's the closest we've ever come to a hare and they were huge and beautiful. We'd both highly recommend this cottage!

Another super stay

This property is appropriately named the ‘Woodland Retreat’ as it is the perfect location to switch-off. We are returning guests and plan to stay again next year which says it all. In addition to the fantastic property, there is much to explore for all ages in the area.

Perfect Cottage for a Relaxing Getaway

Lisa was a wonderful host and her cottage was absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. truly one of the most homey rentals i have ever stayed at and will certainly return for another visit.

Wonderful Retreat!

Woodland Retreat was a lovely place to stay, with everything you could need being provided. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked, the beds were really comfy and the views are stunning. We would highly recommend this property.

Relaxing stay

We found the whole experience excellent. Lisa was a great host very helpful when we had car trouble on our day of departure. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need.

A fantastic week at the Woodland Retreat

A fantastically appointed property in a beautifully quiet setting - every little detail has been considered and the hosts are super helpful. Great location for exploring both the local countryside, lochs etc and further afield with excellent train links from Gleneagles to Stirling, Edinburgh & Glasgow.

Honestly the best place to stay in Scotland!

We have been to this property on several occasions, and to the sister property on several occasions also and it always hits the spot. These cottages are the PERTHfect places for R&R and are immaculately clean, designed and extremely well equipped. Whether you like walking, fishing, hot-tubbing or just looking into the crystal clear night skies these cottages have it all. Thank you for yet another fabulous stay - The Roberts Family.

Scotland Adventure

This was such a special place. The hosts were so thoughtful and kind. We enjoyed this large beautiful space and treasured our hot tub moments listening to the wildlife at night. The location was perfect for our explorations across the middle if Scotland.

Fabulous accommodation, beautiful setting

This property is the best we’ve stayed in, and we’ve stayed in a lot! The finishes and furnishings were all very high end and Lisa had thought of everything making this a real treat-laden holiday. Beautiful tranquil surroundings plus good wifi meant the whole family were happy. We very much hope to return.

A wonderful home from home with all that you could need for a relaxing break. We stayed for my son’s 21st and we enjoyed cooking a lovely meal, using the hot tub and exploring the area. We also liked having the friendly horses in the paddock. It was great for our dogs as well and they stayed in the out house. We visited the Glenturret distillery, House of Bruar and ate at the Smiddy Haugh and Gleneagles which are all to be recommended. Thanks to Jamie and Johnny for making our stay so memorable. :)

A perfect Perthshire haven.

A beautifully appointed, spacious & spotlessly clean cottage in a lovely location. The hosts have thoughtfully considered and exceeded every requirement and expectation of their guests. From the hot tub warmed for our arrival, to the inclusion of homegrown produce, our stay was perfect. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit and hope to return.

Fabulous holiday

Property was perfect, everything had been thought of for a relaxing holiday. Our children loved the hot tub and grounds were beautiful. We visited many places from the house including Perth, Glasgow, St. Andrews, Scone Palace, the Kelpies, Gleneagles and a Coldplay concert!!. Would highly recommend and hosts Lisa and Jamie ensured the property and holiday exceeded all expectations thank you.

Beautiful house!

The house is beautiful decorated, very well eqquiped and a wonderful place to stay whatever the season. We had a very warm welcome and felt at home right away. What a super start of our holiday in Scotland! A highly recommended house.

This is a fantastic property in a excellent location

We have just had a wonderful week in this idyllic cottage. The facilities are excellent including a hot tub and bikes. The range of wildlife was an added bonus as was the weather. Jamie & Lisa were excellent hosts with lots of knowledge of the local area which was helpful, The accommodation is the best we have ever had and we look forward to returning in the future. Simply sublime

This cottage wants for nothing. Very comfortable with an array of luxury items. Set in a very quiet and private location, yet enjoys easy access to Perthshire and further afield. Looking forward to my next visit.
