Foyer au gaz pour les nuits plus fraĂźches. Pour vos chefs, il y a l'oeuf vert XL, la plaque chauffante Ă  gaz extĂ©rieure 36 po et tous les Ă©quipements de cuisine habituels. Riverside doc, rampe pour bateaux plus petits et Ă  un kilomĂštre d’une rampe de mise Ă  l'eau gratuite. Des ponts Ă  gogo pour votre plus grand plaisir. EntourĂ© par la nature et une population d'oiseaux et d'animaux sauvages incroyable. La rive opposĂ©e appartient Ă  TVA et est peu peuplĂ©e sur un lac Wechteler de 64 000 hectares. PĂȘche au bar de classe mondiale. Excellent ski et la navigation de plaisance. Kayak et stand up paddle sur place. La propriĂ©tĂ© adjacente Ă  l'ouest est non construite et est un refuge pour une population d'oiseaux incroyable. Wifi et Smart TV disponibles, mais nous savons que vous ne vous en souciez pas. Excellent endroit pour se rassembler, se ressourcer, Ă©crire de la musique ou une rampe de lancement pour les attractions de Huntsville, AthĂšnes, Florence et Muscle Shoals. Nous aimerions partager cela avec des personnes Ă  la recherche de paix et de tranquillitĂ©. C'est une maison trĂšs propre et agrĂ©able et un emplacement incroyable. Excellents lits. The house was clean and well furnished. Very reasonable rate and the sunsets were amazing! We plan to stay again and explore the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge. Carter was quick to respond when there was an issue with the keys.

Secluded, roomy, on river, had everything needed. Paradise Cove Rd not busy good for walking the dog.One of the downstairs beds was a queen just plan accordingly if you bring your own sheets

Great view for relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay. The back porch was our favorite spot to watch birds (take some bird feed to put on rail for good view). Beds were comfortable. Quiet area. Plan to go back in future

Peaceful getaway

We stayed here for my son’s college fishing tournament. It was great being right on the lake with amazing views. The house is bigger than I anticipated from the listing. The indoor space accommodated 8 easily. It was kind of cold when we were there so we couldn’t take advantage of the outdoor space, but it was well appointed for outdoor cooking and entertaining. The rental is about 20 minutes from grocery stores and restaurants, and I liked being away from the noise. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Lakeside Property

If you like hanging out in the sun on a dock over the lake or in the shade on a deck above the lake, or in a covered screened in porch further above the lake, you'll enjoy yourself here. The description is accurate. A bit out of the way, which may be the reason to choose this property. Still, Athens is only 20 minutes away, and the NASA Space Center is an easy trip.

Thanksgiving with Friends

We went back to Huntsville where I grew Up to visit old friends. We had a great stay. The King size bed was very comfportable. My wife actually commented on it as we have had many bad beds in the past. Thhe only issue I had, and knew going in was the distance to Huntsville. But we did enjoy our stay very Much!

Lovely Weekend Retreat

Our family stayed for an extended weekend together. The accommodations were spacious and the screen porch was a great place to enjoy the lake views. The beautiful sunsets each evening were magnificent! It was our home away from home, and we can’t wait to come back.

The only thing I’d change is to stay longer

We loved our stay here, I just wish we’d had a longer trip. The house is spacious and gorgeous, beds are comfy, the house was clean, kitchen was well-equipped, and pet-friendly. Super easy to find and such a pretty drive getting there from Atlanta. The flowers and yard likewise beautiful, with daisies, pineapple sage, and mums (I think they were mums) in the front, and a picnic table too! The views are breathtaking and hands down our favorite things were the screened in porch and deck. Y’all. It’s insanely beautiful with the sun on the water in the afternoons. We were there during a cool fall weekend so didn’t get in the water but man did we enjoy the porch and deck. Our host, Carter, was absolutely wonderful, super communicative, responsive, and helpful. Super enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again next time we’re in the Huntsville area. Thanks so much, Carter!

Think of rental as a camp

Description of home and amenities TOTALLY inaccurate. Numerous appliances not working, porch area was filled with dead insects, outdoors not well maintained. Advertised use of kayak but came with broken unusable paddle. Owner became quite angry when we complained and asked location of trash bags. Then threatened us with eviction and sending sheriff to property to evict us. Would have been quite amusing as would have encountered 3 women in their 70s! I reported owner and his threats to VRBO who will be reviewing him for this behavior. After told him I reported him his comment was :if

Beautiful and relaxing

We loved this property! We were torn between a beach vacation and visiting family in Athens. So happy I found this house on the water, which allowed for a relaxing lake view and close proximity to family. Even with rain every day, it was lovely.

Wheeler Lake House

Beautiful home with a beautiful view of the lake! We enjoyed our visit. It was quiet and relaxing. The home was perfect for us and being able to see the lake when waking up in the morning was a bonus! Thank you for the hospitality!

The house is very nice, very comfortable, and built for relaxation from top to bottom. Our home is full of good vibes and surrounded by God's beautiful creation. It is an exceptional bird watching destination with all manner of songbirds, waterfowl, birds of prey including bald eagles and osprey. The river and view is unbelievable and the sunsets cannot be beaten. If you need a place to unwind, pick your guitar, read or write, this is your destination. We have all manner of things to do from kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, skiing and watersports. It is very quiet and isolated from the hustle and bustle of the city but not to far to enjoy entertainment and attractions in Florence, Muscle Shoals, Athens, or Huntsville
