NOUVELLE CONSTRUCTION Maison de plage de 7 chambres à coucher sur la rive du lac avec bain à remous et foyer extérieur!

Notre maison nouvellement construite est directement sur Lake Shore Drive. La maison vient d'être achevée en juillet 2019.

C'est à moins d'un kilomètre et demi à pied de notre porte d'entrée à la plage. Nous avons un accès facile et rapide à Sheridan Beach, la plus belle plage de la région!

La maison a une disposition ouverte - la cuisine s'ouvre sur le salon / salle à manger. La maison a 7 chambres à coucher, 4 salles de bain et un sous-sol complètement aménagé.

À l'extérieur, il y a un immense pont avant avec un grill, et à l'arrière il y a un porche grillagé, relié à une terrasse avec un bain à remous intégré. La cour arrière a un foyer installé dans la dune de sable boisée.

La disposition des chambres est la suivante (7 chambres):

Il y a une télévision avec Xfinity Comcast Cable TV dans le salon. Il y a des smartTVs ROKU dans 3 chambres et au sous-sol. La maison est équipée du WIFI haut débit.

Espace extérieur:
Il y a un immense pont avant avec un grill, une grande table à manger en plein air, des chaises longues et un grill. À l'arrière de la maison, il y a un porche grillagé relié à une terrasse avec un bain à remous. Le bain à remous est ouvert toute l'année. Derrière le porche grillagé et le bain à remous, il y a un foyer. La cour arrière derrière le foyer est une dune de sable boisée.

Family Fun

The house was set up very nicely for a big group. Kitchen, living, dining space was all open, easy for meal prep by many people at once. We all loved the back screened in porch.

Great stay!

Our family of 16: 14 adults and 2 kiddos enjoyed our 4 night stay. Great access to the beach, host was quick and helpful in response. Place was clean, because it is a beach home you definitely deal with sand, not an issue just an FYI.

Great spacious house & within walking distance

We loved staying here - 1 block from the beach, 1/2 mile to splash pad and zoo, & a mile to restaurants. We walked every where! So many beds to choose from and kitchen was large enough for everyone to sit. Quiet and peaceful in the evenings.

The physical layout of the house was great for a large group. Bedrooms separated from the living space. Kitchen/living area and screened porch were perfect for our group. But, lots of updates need to happen - beds were not comfortable nor was the couch. The towels were old and dingy. The hot tub was unusable - water was foggy and green. The outdoor staircase also is VERY SLIPPERY. The property would be very difficult for anyone with mobility issues to navigate. Driveway was incredibly steep and each floor is separated by steep stairwells. Location is great. We were able to get Uber/Lyft. Beach is very close walk, with an accessible pathway. Listing title should reflect that this is no longer newly built.

Family Vacation

My children and grandchildren had a marvelous time here. The house is laid out beautifully. There were 20 of us and no one ever felt crowded, plenty of space to spread out and have your own space. Will definitely rent again.

Perfect house for a large group!

This home was absolutely perfect for our group of 12! The home was clean, cozy, and we each had our own bed. The kitchen and living room layout were open, and we were able to relax and hang out easily. It was well-equipped with towels, dishes, and everything we needed for our stay.

Girls getaway

Very accommodating with 12 beds. Nice to be so close to beach with beach chairs provided. Great large kitchen table and table on patio outside to sit everyone. Had some difficulty reaching host and confirming approval to try and get in a little early as some of our group was from out of state.

The place was filthy. Floors not vacuumed or mopped. Stuff left around like bottle caps and wrappers. Nothing wiped down in the kitchen. Gunk all over appliances. Coffee left in the pot. Two nobs on stove top missing. Ice maker not working. Shower curtains moldy. Old bath towels. One mattress feels like a boxspring not mattress. Living room couch with stains and is indented.

Nice house for a large family getaway

Pros: 8 adults and 7 kids stayed here for 4 nights and we had tons of space. Layout of the house is nice... we loved the front deck and back patio. Has a very short, easy walk to the beach. Host was very responsive when I messaged him about some issues with the house. Cons: Could use some maintenance with the bathrooms and some of the appliances, but none of those things were deal breakers. Bring extra towels if you have a big group.

Long weekend family vaca

Colin was awesome, accommodating, and quick to respond to questions and a new coffee maker! Home was GREAT. The location, layout and amenities checked the boxes! I do agree with other reviews that most the beds are hard and hope they could be changed out at some point. That said , we’d probably come back next year.

Great House, Great Location!

This place was AMAZING. The house was pristine and accommodated our 10 adults and 7 kids very easily! . The house was spacious and open and had plenty of space on 3 levels with a great kitchen and atmosphere. We relaxed on the screen porch quite a bit and took advantage of the hot tub in the evenings. The location was perfect for us, a 1-2 minute walk to the beach. Colin was extremely quick to respond with any questions. This place is worth the money! I 100% recommend.

Summer Trip

Location was amazing, but no correspondence with the owner after phone calls and messaging. Home was not very clean and they did not provide any dish or hand soap. We thought the inside would be nicer since it said it was brand new.

Good for a large group, needs general upkeep. A bit dirty and some things broken like rack in dishwasher, dishwasher handle, a dining room chair, slider screen, moldy freezer in the basement etc. Could have used more towels and some general supplies like Kleenex, large garbage bags etc.. A little fixing up and this could be a great place.

Good location

House is a great location with proximity to the beach. Despite the 'newly built' in the title, don't expect anything new. The house looks as if it was worn hard and put away wet. Not much attention to cleaning prior to our arrival. We were afraid to use the hot tub as the water smelled like it had not been changed in a long time. Good size for a large group, you just have to let a lot go.

Great location!

This property is in a great location. There is just a short walk to the beach. There are beach chairs available to take to the beach. The house was a nice size for our stay. However, if you plan to do any cooking, please know that the kitchen is not fully equipped with basic pots, pans, and cooking utensils. We couldn't get the grill to work, even after we purchased a refill for the propane tank. The grill was pretty dirty anyway.

Our favorite get away

My friend and I have been taking our kids to michigan city and the dunes for the past 4 years. It’s a girl and kiddos trip. This year we rented a house instead of doing our normal hotel. The house was amazing- so big - the kids loved it! Had everything you need but I would say bring extra laundry detergent, paper plates and plastic silverware and extra trash bags. Location was perfect for us. Steep driveway but I have 4 kids and a large suv so it was not a issue for me. We will definitely be back!

Good stay and good value with one caveat

The positives are that this was a nice place with plenty of space and beds for our group which was great. It's in a nice location, close to the water/beach and close to things to do in town and in SW Michigan. The beds/layout were great and our group enjoyed our trip. I am giving it 5 stars with the caveat that the owners are VERY cheap regarding things like dishwasher tablets/towels/laundry detergent. We didn't have enough towels for our entire group, which is silly to me, if you advertise sleeping for 10 people there should be enough towels for each person; similarly there were only a handful of laundry/dish detergent tablets. It's not a huge deal, but when you pay several hundred dollars per person to rent a place for a weekend it seems pretty cheap and I probably wouldn't rent this VRBO again because of it.

Cousin’s Care ‘23

The property was clean and had everything needed for our large party. Good amount of bedrooms, multiple large seating areas, and plenty of bathrooms. Never felt cramped. Would have been 5 stars, but the oven wasn’t working. I notified the host about the issue and received a lackluster response. We were only there for 2 days, so we were able to make due without the oven. If booking, I’d make sure this problem has been rectified.

Something’s to consider

There are pros and cons to this house. PROS-huge, spacious house. 4 full bathrooms. Great outdoor space. Excellent location for the beach and actives near the harbor of Michigan City. CONS-while surface clean, it is not a clean house. The walls and ceilings have stains. The bathrooms smell dirty and one has mold on the ceiling. The shower curtains are really gross. There are broken things everywhere-the lamp on ceiling in master is sharp shard of glass, ripped drywall in closet, oven door is falling apart, knobs missing from stove, I could go on. I have bruises on my hips from sleeping on the master bed. That’s how hard it was. Lastly, I do t understand why providing hand soap and toilet paper is too much when the guest is paying $900 per night. It just seems like it should be a given.

Good time, but some issues

Lots of room and fun fire pit in back. However, downstairs 2 bedrooms only had a deep window well for light and they were covered in dirt. Downstairs bathroom had mold. Master were either very hard very soft. There was jockeying to see who would get the better beds. Owners were not accommodating.10 days after we booked we found we had a free place to stay. We were renting on weekdays. I offered to switch to the off season week days again for same price. Their calendar shows they have no weekdays in the offseason rented except for Xmas week. I had a rental for 20 years on same street and it is hard to rent week days. They would not change the dates. It would have represented very little risk to them and a big help to us!

Marsha - Thanks for staying at our home - yes, the bedrooms in the walkout basement have large window well windows, a standard thing in basement bedrooms. They do not get as much light as a 1st or 2nd floor bedroom. Sorry for the inconvenience. We do have a variety of beds (some on the medium-soft, some medium, some medium-hard). We do that on purpose to make sure there are a range of options in the home for guests that prefer a specific mattress type. As for the date change request - I am sorry we were unable to change your stay so shortly before your check in. I wish we were able to change reservations last minute for people, and we do work with people the best we can, but it was not possible for us in this situation because it was so last minute. Thanks again for staying in our home, I appreciate it!
