Au cœur même de Hillsdale, cet immeuble historique de 200 ans était autrefois le domicile et le cabinet d'avocats de Merton Fitzpatrick, l'un des fondateurs du parti républicain d'origine! Transformé d'un manoir en un complexe de 8 unités à la fin des années 30, 6 appartements sont réservés aux clients Airbnb et 2 sont occupés par des locataires à long terme qui aiment les vieilles maisons. Assis sur un terrain rustique calme au coeur de la ville, la maison est patiemment restaurée alors qu'elle accueille à nouveau des visiteurs de près et de loin.

C'est un endroit où vous pouvez vous détendre et faire un dîner à la maison dans la cuisine ou vous allonger sur le futon dans le salon et regarder des films sur l'écran de 43 pouces ou vous asseoir dans le fauteuil à bascule et lire un livre. Si le travail est votre truc, le bureau est livré avec un bureau de taille décente, une table de bistrot avec des chaises confortables et le wifi et juste la bonne hauteur pour une conférence ou une session d'étude. Des réductions sur la durée du séjour sont disponibles: 2 jours 15% de réduction, hebdomadaire 20% de réduction, mensuelle 25% de réduction.

L'appartement peut accueillir 4, 2 dans la chambre sur le lit double et deux sur le futon du salon qui s'ouvre sur un lit double.

This place is a convenient location to the college. It’s an older home and is clean. It works just fine for my needs- a place to sleep and easy to get in and out.

In a town without many lodging options this worked out great. Manager was great to deal with and totally accessible. The woman who cleans the place does a great job too. I will stay again on my next visit.

The good: The property was in a nice location close to the college and downtown restaurants. The bad: It was dirty, moldy, and smelled like urine. The walls were thin so even quieter conversations could be heard between units. There were no options to control the thermostat and the heat was on too high.

This is an okay place if your expectations are not set too high. It’s an old place with antique decor, a bit musty smell when you first arrive. But for the price I thought it was fine and easily accessible to the college.

We went to Michigan for my nieces nursing graduation and stayed at this little apartment. Very clean and accommodating. Would’ve had furniture placement different and made a bedroom out of the room next to the bathroom and the living room separate from my bedroom. But overall cute little place to rent, and I would rent it again if needed.

I am sorry you had this experience. It is a pre civil war era 1800s house, and as such it is not new and is indeed old. The apartments inside are clean, cute and cozy though. We are always working on updates while still keeping the charm of an old house for those who like old historic homes.

Just what I needed

I needed a comfortable place to stay for a few nights. My days were packed so it was really just a place to lay my head. I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The unit had a completely functional kitchen and it was very clean. It’s an old building renovated into separate apartments, buts it’s very functional. Floors were uneven in places but that’s expected in such an old building. Bathroom was clean and there was great water pressure in the shower. I will stay here again.

Weekend Wedding

We came to Hillsdale from NC for a family wedding being held at a nearby venue. The size of the listing was bigger than I really expected, which was great! It is an older building in which I have appreciation for but at first it may seem a little off. It really is quaint and we totally enjoyed our peaceful stay. We had one issue which was the check-in information was not sent the night before or even the day of until I reached out to the owner who did respond within 30 minutes and got us the information. She did explain she had had an unforeseen emergency event that she was dealing with that caused her delay. Unit was clean and was a nice touch to have a few snacks and water upon arrival. If ever in the area again I will definitely book again!

I drove by the place and wouldn’t have my worst enemy stay there.

No one ever contacted me on check in day. At least not until very late. After driving by I would NEVER stay there. I expect a full refund. Terrible service.

About Owner Nancy: I am an artist, love old houses, interested in antiques, art, current events, politics. I am also an entrepreneur, and have had a number of small businesses. I love animals, rehabbing old houses, reading, working. I am actually a senior citizen, but feel like a 13 year old and relate very well to younger people. Lots of things left in life that I want to do and experience and learn. Favorite Food lately: my own cabbage soup! Favorite Music: Flamenco Guitar, Life motto: Feel the fear and do it anyway.
Nancy has furnished the rooms of our old 1800's house with antiques she finds on her "treasure hunts". You will notice interesting and eclectic gallery walls that she has put together in each apartment, as well as her mosaic tile artistry in the kitchens, some dining table, end tables and mirrors (depending on apartment).

Nancy's assistant Rebekah (Bekah) does most of the customer relations work, reservations, and tech stuff for Nancy. She has worked with Nancy to help with the business since 2019. She will most likely be the one communicating with you here, via phone, and occasionally in person. Rebekah is also an artist, selling her art both online and in Hillsdale, as well as owner of a small local bakery business. She also enjoys old houses, antiques, estate sales, singing and playing guitar, animals, writing (especially poetry) , nature, knitting, pretty much anything arts and culture related. She is a board member of our local Historical Society and also does volunteer work looking after and teaching children (both art and historical living) in her spare time.

Restaurants, quaint stores, banks, coffee shops, entertainment, grocery stores, salons and spas, popular college hang outs, beautiful parks, a biking trail, and more. It is a fun and convenient place to stay.

The ideal location and lower prices on nightly stays for your own private apartment can't be beat. The house itself is steeped in history- a pre civil war era home (what was once a mansion) from the 1800s, that has been turned into 8 full apartments. Guests who enjoy history, and quirky old homes with a story, will feel right at home here. Many people say it feels homey and cozy, and enjoy the eclectic decor. Owner Nancy (who is an artist) has also done most of the mosaic tile work inside the main part of house, and in each apartment (especially kitchen back splashes, islands, tables and sometimes mirrors and end tables in the place).
