A nice house, BUT disappointing in some ways.
This property looked good and sounded good from the write up & pictures, but the dish washer did NOT clean the dishes, so we had to rewash all the dishes and then just opted to wash them by hand. We told the landlord, and he changed the dishwasher, but that happened after being there for three weeks. NOT what I expected to be doing on a much needed vacation! .The other problem was the water is very hard there, so a water softener is also needed, which we did not have. All the appliances were very old and should have been replaced including the grill. I feel that we should be reimbursed for the fact that we had to wash our dishes for most of the month that we rented which was expensive. We also were paying a lot for cleaning and for our dog ($1000.00) and still had to clean and wash the sheets before leaving on our check out day. Our dog is a Labradoodle, so does not shed or smell and we covered the couch that he laid on so he would not dirty it. It was also a very noisy location with an airport very close by and planes flying by all day long & getting woken up before 5:00 am every morning with the golf course maintenance crew. It would have been good to know all of this on the website BEFORE booking. Other than that, it was a beautiful place with new furniture and a nicely equiped kitchen, except for the very old and outdated appliances, and a nice yard. I hope we will be compensated. Will that happen? Please let us know!
