The stay was great. The garage parking is SUPER tight. Communication with the host was smooth and we were able to deal with a weird technical issue preventing me from seeing check in instructions. Enjoyed my stay

Points faibles : Arrivée, communication
Check-in was chaotic as VRBO chat did not send all the needed information, even though on the host's chat she could see she sent them to us. We could not do we wasted time trying to figure out the check-in procedures. When confronted host was defensive and accusatory. Was not a great start to the stay. Other than that the VRBO stay was comfortable. Very clean and the location was great and easy to head into NYC.

It was perfect for us. Very easy to get into the city. Clean, comfortable and cozy. Be aware that the entrance door sticks so we had a little trouble entering but nothing major. Also, if you're feeling adventurous take the 100 yr old scary elevator (not for the faint of heart!). We felt very safe here.

The kitchen is VERY poorly stocked for cooking and cleaning. The wall outlets in several places will not hold a plug. The elevator is very outdated and scary to use. Getting to NYC is fairly easy IF the bus runs on time. The parking lot is an absolute nightmare: not paved, you must drive over a curb to get to it and basically in ill repair The apartment was clean. The host was very prompt at communication. The check in and out was very easy .

Nice place rest after a long day

After spending the day in Manhattan itt was a nice place to come back to without much noise and plenty of space for everyone. Manager was great about getting back to us when we had questions.

The actual apartment was clean. The hallways and outside… not so much! We honestly felt like we were pulling up to low income housing apartments. We were not aware that we had to pay to use the parking spot already assigned to the apartment we rented. We had to send an additional payment for the space after we arrived. The elevator is old and stopped working so we had to carry luggage down 5 flights of stairs. There were bugs crawling on the kitchen counter and stove. No heating or cooling. AC units in the bedroom windows and we had to use space heaters. It says it has a pull out couch but there isn’t enough space to pull it out. Also the main door to the building was broken, anyone could come in and out.

Thank you for your feedback, Nashayla. We’re glad to hear you found the apartment itself clean. We’re sorry that other aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. The parking space is offered as an optional amenity for an additional fee, as indicated in the listing. Regarding the elevator, it is managed by the building administration, and unfortunately unexpected outages can occasionally occur. We also take reports of insects very seriously and would have been happy to address the issue immediately had we been notified during your stay. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to improve the guest experience. Thank you for staying with us.

Claudia is proactive with communication and always responds promptly. That was very reassuring. The apartment was spotless. Parking was very convenient and only 5 more per day than the city permit. Worth it to know you could park close. The location is perfect for accessing the city as often as you'd like. There is a stop right outside and it runs often. Our view of NYC skyline out of the master bedroom was wonderful! The kitchen has basics but only that so plan accordingly. For coffee lovers who want to come prepared with pods or coffee - it's a drip pot. They provide one filter and one serving of coffee. The heat is provided by the building and you can turn it off at Access points in the apartment. However, even with those access points off the apartment we were in on the top floor was never comfortable unless we had windows open. Thankfully the weather was nice and we were able to do that.We did have a small issue and Claudia responded promptly and appropriately.

Communication prior was excellent, proximity to the city is great and the unit was clean and comfortable. However many accommodations were lacking. The elevator did not work most of the days we were there and if it did it was for 1 person only which was very inconvenient for a party of multiple people. With the elevator not working properly it made terrible sounds all night long so the front bedroom all night long sounded like a train rumbling right in the next room (which explains the earplugs provided on the nightstand) We also never had hot water for showers no matter what time of day we tried. Not to mention the terrible shower head that either would not turn on all the way or leaked like crazy causing it not to really provide much water at all. The listing should have been more honest about the conditions of the building for us to make a more informed decision on the stay. Also the paid secured parking is not a secure lot it is just off street no real safety as it sounded and after we got our number assignment 2 days before our visit we were then told we should try not to move our car at all or we could lose our spot to a resident which then caused us to have to use expensive Ubers to get around instead so we didn’t lose our spot. Though the unit was clean, close to the city, and the host was very communicative prior I would not stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your kind comments about our communication, the cleanliness of the unit, and its convenient location near New York City. We are sorry to hear that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately, the elevator is managed by the building administration, and while we do our best to keep guests informed of any issues, unexpected outages can occur. We understand how inconvenient this was for your group and apologize for the disruption. We are also concerned to hear about the hot water and shower issues, as these are not experiences we want our guests to have. Your comments have been shared with our maintenance team so they can investigate and address these matters promptly. Regarding the parking, we apologize if the information provided created a different expectation. We will review our listing description and parking instructions to ensure future guests have a clearer understanding of the parking arrangements and any limitations. While we're pleased that you found the apartment clean, comfortable, and well-located, we're sorry that the overall experience did not earn your confidence for a future stay. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve both our property and the information we provide to guests. We wish you all the best in your future travels.

NYC trip from Oct 11th to Oct 14th 2019

I've been in NYC 4 times now and that has been by far the best place I've been due to many nice feature (never stayed in Manhattan due to the $$$$): - 20 minutes away from Port Authority Bus Terminal. Every 5 minutes there is a bus picking you up corner of JFK blvd and 17th street (where the appartment is situated) and bringing you to PABT which is close to Time Square. - The appartment is super clean with a nice kitchenette and everything needed in it. - The neighborhood seems safe with a dollar store and supermarket within 5 minutes walk. - Claudia was super easy to deal with and was answering all the questions I had within minutes ! - Nothing bad to say honestly about this place. - Will come back and deal with Claudia next time I am in NYC for sure. I recommend this place if you are visiting the Big Apple. Enjoy :)

My family and I had a wonderful stay. It was simple to check-in and instructions were very clear. Communication was well received. We appreciated the close proximity to the bus stop to allow for travel into the city. The apartment was clean and simple amenities were provided. One tip I would suggest would possibly be a fully body mirror in the bathroom door.
