Thanks Beverley for your comments and will take them aboard. Your comments about the door have caused concern with other guests before arrival, the doors are old, but they do work fine. They lock and are secure and have not caused any other issues with other guests. The 2 outside chairs have been replaced. I’d requested this to be done prior to your arrival and assumed this had been done by Sands Beach as I wasn’t made aware that they hadn’t. Someone had broken their own chairs and swapped them with ours for our patio. Thanks again

Unfortunately before you arrived Moray there had been heavy prolonged spells of rain which the island isn't used too, followed by a calima. Speaking to others at the time on Sands Beach, the drainage system was a bit overwhelmed causing the smell. The way you've written your review makes it sound like there was only a problem with our apartment which isn't true, may others had the same issue at the time. With regards the door, you emailed me to say the door wouldn't lock causing a security issue and I replied the same night to say that it does lock securely, that it is just an old lock, but it works. I offered to get maintenance to look at it the next day for you, but you then said it was all good and it does lock and not to worry about anyone looking at it. So mixed messages. As far as mentioning cockroaches, just a bit of a low dig there. They are native to Lanzarote and will be there a lot longer than us. Spray is provided if required. I'm sorry you couldn't find too many positives in your stay as you'd maybe have enjoyed yourself a bit more if you didn't look for all the negatives.
