Had a great stay. The property is about 15 minutes by golf cart from any marina but its a great drive with lots of wildlife. Beach front access was great for the kids. We will be back!

Gorgeous beach view that can be enjoyed from living room, porch and main bedroom. Terrific layout with all rooms having ample space to spread out and enjoy. Seamless check in and out. Missy at JonBie Madison was very helpful with us staying another night and subsequent move. The house was clean and beautiful. There was no coffee but we lived. It would be nice if house was appointed with food basics because everything you need must be brought from the mainland. We streamlined our packing because you have to pay for extra baggage. It worked. People on the island are great and we tried to support the local economy as much as we could.

Serene beachfront cottage

Spectacular cottage on peaceful Daufuskie Island beachfront! We enjoyed long walks along the beach with no crowds. The sunrises and moonrises were amazing. We enjoyed days exploring the island and evenings talking around the fire pit. Tammy and Kurt were very responsive to any questions that we had & all the residents that we met were very kind. Will definitely come back!!

Great house. Great location.

We loved our stay. The host greeted us and informed us of all the island had to offer. Plenty of room for two families. Beautiful views. Appreciated the beach toys, chairs and towels. We would definitely return to this house.

Fabulous vacation!

We had a marvelous family vacation over Fourth of July! House was even more beautiful than in the pictures, hosts were excellent communicators and greeted us on arrival to our home. Daufuskie Life provided seamless transportation from the ferry and golf carts were waiting for us and ready to go at the house. We can’t wait to come back!

Finally Away

We travel a lot as a large family. It is nice to be able to find a space that can comfortably fit everyone as well as have it be a true vacation get away. Away from the world and the crazy bustle of life. Amazing views with great wildlife and peace and quiet. And such friendly great people! A hidden secret!

Christmas on Daufuskie Island

As our visit coincided with the coldest of temperatures, we enjoyed our stay. And our hosts made accommodations adaptable to the conditions. I would very much enjoy another visit and would stay at this rental. If you are traveling during off season like we did, be sure to pack coolers with plenty of food. Milk and eggs are easy to obtain on the island.

Lovely and spacious home - convenient for our family to live together under one roof!

The hosts were responsive and most helpful in making us comfortable. They recommended island businesses to contact and enjoy, such as Daufuskie Life, which we contracted to meet our family of 8 at Melrose dock to transport us and our belongings to Ocean Serenity and provided a second golf cart for us to use, as well. We enjoyed sharing sunrise adventures with our grandchildren while exploring the beach at low tide and many trips around the island during our stay. The bicycles for us to use were wonderful, as well.

Great experience

We loved our stay. The house was just as advertised. It was very clean and someone met us at the house when we arrived. Kitchen missing a few basic cooking supplies but we managed. House manager was quick to respond to questions or concerns. We loved the ease of getting to the beach with very few others on the beach. Gentle waves and lots of great shells. Found a lot of hermit crabs, sand dollars and starfish. Definitely bring everything you need as stores have very limited and expensive supplies. We have already booked to go back to the same house next year.

Dafuskie Girls Weekend

We loved the house and our stay on Dafuskie. The host and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful with all things from the initial booking to going home. The house was clean and accommodated 10 girls well! One draw back was the house is advertised as having a well stocked kitchen and we were cooking for most our meals but the kitchen did lack some basics for preparing full dinners. We improvised and enjoyed 3 home cooked meals! We had many laughs and made great memories. We will be returning and most likely to this very house!

Love This House

This beautiful house on Daufuskie Island met our expectations and so much more. Very clean and spacious. We loved seeing the ocean from the screen porch. We explored on the golf cart and bikes that were provided with the rental. The island is full of deer and fox squirrels. We even saw a few armadillos and alligators. Frye’s chicken was our favorite eatery. We took a private boat to get to the island. Captain Jimbo was punctual and friendly, giving us lots of information about the island. We would definitely go back again, in fact we are already booked for next year.

The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional! He even cursed at us in front of small children. We will return to Daufuskie but definitely not here.

Beautiful views, very well stocked, great location

We really enjoyed our stay and had 9 people total who could easily all be comfortable and there was so much to do! Owners were sooo responsive and even brought us a tinier bike for my daughter to ride! House was in great condition and couldn’t imagine a better sunrise view, even though I was working remotely.

Was surprised to see boarded up homes next door & on our street but understood after asking. Would like more choices for food/restaurants, but overall enjoyed it!

Beautiful place!!

Overall my family and I really enjoy this property. The house was amazing! We enjoyed the extras (beach chairs, bikes and other toys). There was also plenty of space for all of us! The only complaint that I do have is that the floor was pretty dirty when we got there. I assume it’s hard to keep clean with all the sand. And I wish there had been a few more things in the kitchen to cook with! Other than the this really is a home away from home!

Loved that the island was remote and enjoyed its historical sites.

House was beautiful and located a short walk to the beach. Plenty of beach toys provided and the inclusion of a golf cart in the rental was a very thoughtful idea.
