Welcome to River Mist Retreat!

This home is close to everything Asheville offers. Whether coming for a vacation getaway or attending an event, River Mist Retreat has everything you need, especially an amazing location! As you make your way to this home, you will be driving along the French Broad River, a lovely scenic area of Asheville. River Mist feels like a private mountain escape despite the fact that it is walking distance to the river park and only 5 miles to downtown, the River Arts District, and all that the city has to offer.

This is a three story home. The home has a beautiful ambiance and is ideal for up to four couples (eight people). The main floor has two bedrooms with queen-sized beds and a full bath, with dining and living space for gatherings. The downstairs has a king bedroom, an en suite bathroom along with a great living space for entertaining and having fun.

The upstairs bedroom has a king-sized bed, an en suite full bath, and a fantastic atmosphere. In this room, there is an adjacent area with a desk for those that need to get work done and a "pull-out" queen sofa-bed to sleep two additional people if needed. This space allows for the home to accommodate up to 10 people total.

The outdoor space is lovely too, surrounded by mature trees on a serene and quiet cul-de-sac. There is a fire pit in the large yard for our guests to gather around playing music, making smores, or just breathing the fresh air. It is genuinely a beautiful yard for you to enjoy! There are security cameras outside.

Please note additional fees apply for a pet and any additional guests over 8 total.

Pet policy: One small dog (20lbs or less) is welcome upon pre-approval, with a $150.00 pet fee. Exceptions might be made for pets with pre-approval of breed, size and age.

Additional guests over eight people total is $50 per person. 10 total people allowed.

Parking for 4 cars.

The wifi is the fastest available at 1Gbps.

We hate to ask, but we've had an unfortunate event where a guest booked the house to have a party. There are NO parties/events allowed. Because of this past event, we would appreciate if you would be willing to help ease our minds by disclosing your reason for booking the house. Thank you!

We had a delightful stay. Everything is clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equipped. Scott quickly helped us out when we locked ourselves out! We truly enjoyed the front porch for dinner 2 nights. The house lends itself well to socializing and visiting with friends.

This house was perfect for our family - 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 teenagers. The two master bedrooms were perfect for the couples and each teenager got their own room. Unfortunately we had rainy weather but had a great time in the game room puzzling, playing games, catching up and watching movies. The kitchen is well stocked and plenty of dining space. Nice outdoor covered porch in the back we could enjoy also. We had an emergency which prevented us from getting there when we expected and Scott was super cooperative with a late checkout since the property was open the day after our checkout. Highly recommend!

My family and I had a great time at Scott's house! He was an ideal host! Communication was excellent! He responded immediately to a message I sent while we were there regarding a battery for the smoke detector which he provided right away.The pictures of the house don't do it justice. There was plenty of room for 6 guests. The downstairs living was great for watching TV and playing games. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you would need for preparing meals and the yard was great for our dog. I would stay here again anytime I return to Ashville. Scott was outstanding as a host!!

Beautiful House, very clean. Plenty of room for our whole family. We especially enjoyed the front patio deck and spent many hours out there talking and eating meals. Seemed like a good location and was very quiet. Host communication was great. A/C in the house worked great and was especially appreciated given the warm weather. We had zero problems during our 4 day stay. Would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to enjoy the Asheville area.

Everything was perfect for our ladies get-away weekend. The five of us had our own spaces and three bathrooms was a real bonus. The living dining area was perfect for our together fun and the outside was beautiful. We didn't have any issues with our stay there.

Perfect stay for friends reunion weekend

Great place to stay for a friends reunion weekend. We mostly were out and about (about 15 min to downtown and easy to get Uber/Lyfts), but really enjoyed eating and hanging out on the deck when we were at the house.

Weekend Getaway

I stayed with a group of friends for a long weekend in Ashville. This house was perfect for us! We all had our own rooms and space but were able to spent time together eating, talking and making memories. We all enjoyed our stay!

Great Trip

We had a great trip for a wedding. The house was clean and fit our family perfectly. It was close to downtown and the other activities we did, like the NWC Nature Center. I highly recommend this property!
