Port Loring Maison de vacances

Maison de vacances magnifiquement meublée située dans la petite ville tranquille de Port Loring avec vue sur le lac Wilson. Quatre très grandes chambres pouvant accueillir 14 personnes. Trois des chambres ont une vue magnifique sur le lac. Deux salles de bain complètes. Cuisine spacieuse et bien équipée avec suffisamment d'espace pour les grands dîners en famille. Grand salon avec de nombreux canapés confortables pour s'asseoir et profiter de la conversation ou pour regarder vos émissions ou films préférés sur la Smart TV 55 pouces avec Netflix et YouTube inclus. Lecteur DVD \ Blue-ray également inclus si vous souhaitez regarder vos propres films. Table supplémentaire située dans le salon pour les jeux ou les puzzles.
Une buanderie pleine grandeur est située au rez-de-chaussée près de l'entrée arrière et du vestiaire. Une petite pièce adjacente à la buanderie peut être utilisée comme bureau si vous devez vous connecter au travail. Des jeux, des livres et des puzzles sont également disponibles et situés dans cette salle.
Il y a une salle de bain située au rez-de-chaussée avec une douche à l'italienne et un siège intégré. Des couvertures / jetés supplémentaires sont situés dans le placard de cette salle de bain
L'autre salle de bain est située au deuxième étage et a une combinaison baignoire / douche et deux lavabos (bon pour les enfants). Des serviettes fraîches sont rangées dans le placard de cette salle de bain ainsi qu'au rez-de-chaussée.
Le grand couloir supérieur avec une belle vue sur la propriété se connecte aux quatre chambres très spacieuses. Les trois chambres avant ont une belle vue sur le lac et la quatrième a une vue magnifique sur la cour. Tous les lits sont faits avec des draps frais prêts à l'emploi.
La porte arrière s'ouvre sur un vestiaire suffisamment grand pour accueillir tous vos équipements de randonnée, VTT et motoneige.
Le porche couvert à l'avant de la maison offre une vue imprenable sur le lac. Détendez-vous avec une boisson pour regarder les enfants jouer ou le soleil se coucher. Grand barbecue à 5 brûleurs situé sur le porche avec accès facile à la cuisine. Idéal pour les jours de pluie pour se détendre et regarder les tempêtes se déplacer sur le lac.
Il y a un grand parking pour les grands groupes avec des remorques. Grande cour arrière pour que les enfants jouent avec un foyer pour les rôtis de guimauve de nuit. Veuillez noter qu'il n'y a pas de brûlage en journée et vérifiez les interdictions de feu dans cette zone. Vous aurez accès au Wi-Fi et il y a une entrée sans clé. La boîte de verrouillage est disponible si nécessaire.
Une rampe de mise à l'eau est disponible au bord du lac pour lancer votre bateau et explorer les 40 miles du réseau de la rivière Pickerel ou profiter des nombreux autres lacs environnants, tous avec une excellente navigation de plaisance et de pêche. Le quai du gouvernement est à deux minutes à pied de la maison pour votre usage.
Le sentier OFSC passe devant la maison pour un accès facile. Profitez de tous les sentiers allant dans une direction différente chaque jour ou allez pêcher sur la glace dans les lacs à l'arrière.
Passez une journée ou deux à explorer la charmante ville de Port Loring. Visitez les trois restaurants, boutiques de cadeaux et épiceries variées situés dans les environs. Il y a deux stations-service dans la région, une dans la ville.
La maison est équipée de détecteurs de dioxyde de carbone / fumée partout. Extincteur et trousse de premiers soins sont également sur place.

Beautiful location and house and property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were close to the lake for canoeing as well as several amazing hiking trails. The house had lots of room for making dinners and relaxing on the deck and porch.

Comfortable home

We enjoyed our stay in this home. We are a family of 11, 7 adults and 4 children, and there was more than enough room for all of us to sleep. The large kitchen accommodated us all. There were plenty of activities to keep the children busy, and the pier and beach were only a few minutes walk which was ideal.

Comfortable and clean

Our family of 11 enjoyed our stay at William’s cottage. The property was as described, very spacious and more than big enough that we didn’t feel cramped and had lots of room to move around.Beach and fishing pier a short walk away. William was very quick to respond to any questions. This property definitely rates 5 stars !

Getting together with family

We had a fantastic stay in Port Loring. The cabin (house, really) was spotlessly clean, spacious and was nicer in person than the photos showed. Beds were clean and comfortable and it was perfect for a family traveling with kids. Loved having a dishwasher. Close to the lake for easy swimming, but not so close that you felt like it was a drowning hazard for little kids. They could still go outside to play in the back yard. The yard games were a hoot. Thanks, William - we had a blast!

Great Property

This is a beautiful home, not really a cottage. It accomodates up to 15 people which makes it great for a family experience. It is a bit far from Toronto and does not have large food stores nearby, so planning your food supply is important. It is located in a charming little community, but is not located directly on the lake. The nearby lake is beautiful, but it is difficult to rent a boat to enjoy the water. The property comes with a lot of fun games which we really enjoyed.

Unfortunately, this was not a stay for recreation or pleasure. It was for work. I had a work crew of 6 working 2 minutes away from this location. I went and cooked for and catered to them. It was great, so great that I would like to take my whole family there in the winter and summer for a vacation. Property owner was very helpful. This house was spotless going in. And a friendly community to be in.

Port Loring gem

We had a great time at the cottage, it is in a great location. Super quiet and restful. Spacious. The location was clean, and the host did all he could have to make our stay very comfortable. Great communication. Our thanks to Steve, the guy who looks out for the property .He helped us out with a swarm of mosquitoes that invaded the house one night, and was there when the power went out in the whole town due to a storm the next day. Great guy. Good adventure, nice property, great host . Would do it again.

Beautiful Town and House but wouldn't return

Port loring is an amazing small town, quiet beach, friendly neighbors and the house was cozy and lots of space. Unfortunately there was a large construction site in the yard, with nails and pallets laying around, which wasn't safe for our young children and took up a large portion of the yard and right up to the firepit with a large drop we had to be very careful around. There was also several exposed electrical cords hanging from uncovered outlets throughout the house, which seemed unsafe and could have easily caught on something or been damaged. We were also disappointed we weren't told by the owners in advance about the two scheduled town wide power outages during our stay. We were told by locals luckily about the second one the day before it, but we would have planned our days around them had we also been told in advance by the owners.

Hello Amber, We are glad you enjoyed the house itself. I would like to respond , for potential guests who like to read reviews ( please read the previous reviews ). The large construction site is actually a concrete pad for garage that is to be built. The pad is staked off with four rows of caution tape around and there is no need for adults or children to be around it. The large drop off ia two foot drop off which is10 ft away from one side of the fire pit and again was staked with caution tape. As for the exposed electrical chords hanging from uncovered outlets, all chords either come from a lamp or a TV. If there was a concern, you should have contacted me immediately along with pictures and I would have addressed it right away. My guests safety is paramount. As for the hydro outage, the first one was not scheduled and neither Hydro One or myself could have predicted the outage. The following day, Hydro One contacted all users in the area that there will be an scheduled outage for the next day for 3 hours. After I recieved that message, I asked someone in town to go over to the house and inform you of the upcomig outage. I do know that you left a lot of garbage, along with some type of blow up raft which I guess had a hole in it. I assume that you thought it was my responsibilty to remove it from the property. The dogs were not cleaned up after and there was a lot of dog hair on both levels of the house that I guess you felt did not need to be swept up. I trust you will find an acceptable place to stay for your next trip.

Wonderfully large property for family gathering

5 stars for host engagement, maximum cleanliness, and bedroom & common room sizes. All the basic amenities- the ceiling fans were a great blessing for the extra hot weather (29 degrees, 38 with the humidex; closing the windows while we were out all day felt almost like returning to A/C) and some lovely extras including the separate office and group games selection. Thanks William!

Review of property in Port Loring

The property itself is very lovely and well-kept. It is spacious and can comfortably accommodate many guests. It does not have waterfront however, it is a short walk from a small local beach Where one can rent kayaks and canoes.There are provincial Parks within a drive of the property however, you’re looking at eight at approximately 35 to 45 minute drive in the case of the main provincial park called Restoule. There is a nice restaurant called Jakes, which is a short walk from the property. There is also a variety store and gas station reasonably close by. Renters are advised to bring their own food however, as there is no large grocery store within a short distance of the property. Overall, we had a very pleasant Week and can recommend this property to others.

Great stay at Port Loring!

The house is beautiful, very clean and spacious. Everything was as on the pictures and even better. There is very big space behind the house where you can even put a volleyball net. There are a lot of outdoor games in the back room that can kids and adults play. The beach is a bit small but there weren’t a lot of people. We had wonderful stay! Thank you William.

Good to get out of busy city

The property was very well maintained and clean. There are many docks to fish and lounge but there is only one that could be used by the public. . Overall nice place and would recommend if you need to get out of the city and get your steps in.

Home away from home

The owner was very quick to answer and very accommodating. The house is huge with very thoughtful details. All areas were very clean. My family was a group of six and ages ranging from 8 yrs to elderly, tons of space. We all had a really great time just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
