Hidden Gem in Keweenaw's Outdoor Playground

Built in 2004 this quiet cottage is located on a private penninsula in Bete Grise.
Our private cottage is the perfect respite after enjoying all the area has to offer.

We have a private dock which offers direct water access to all types of boating and fishing in Lake Superior and Lac La Belle. Beach access to the crystal blue waters and singing sands of Lake Superior is at the end of the driveway. The Midwest's premier ski hill, Mt Bohemia, is just 3 miles down the road as are the U.P's famed snowmobile trails, and mountain biking IMBA’s Copper Harbor “Silver Level Ride Center” ranks among the top trail systems in the world!

Our open floor plan on the first floor is a wonderful place to gather after a day of adventure in the the Keweenaw whether it be for a meal or fireside chat around the custom fireplace.

Our cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 10. The master suite is located on the main floor with an attached bathroom. It has a queen bed and queen size sleeper sofa. The 2 other bedrooms are located on the second floor, 1 with 2 queen beds and the other with 1 queen bed and a shared bathroom.

There is an alarm system on the cabin that will be disarmed before your arrival. We do however have exterior cameras that are on the porch only. These are for your protection and ours.

We stayed here during a ski trip to Mount Bohemia and it couldn’t have been a better home base.After long days on the slopes, coming back to this cute and cozy cabin was exactly what we needed. The wood-burning fireplace was the perfect spot to warm up and unwind after a full day of skiing.The cabin felt wonderfully private and secluded, yet it was still incredibly convenient for our ski plans.The host’s communication was excellent from start to finish and the detailed directions were especially helpful given the winter road and weather conditions.

Host was easy to contact. This was our second stay at this lovely home and there are many amenities to utilize from cooking, laundry, wifi, streaming services etc. Home is clean and taken care of. Beds are comfortable and have plenty of pillows and extra blankets. Driveway was plowed upon arrival. Lots of parking room. Would love to plan a stay in the summer sometime!

We stayed at this beautiful cabin in the woods for three nights over the 4th of July holiday. It was perfect for our two families that included two teens and three pre-teen kids. We were able to explore the Keweenaw easily and even did a day trip over to Isle Royale. Our boys spent as much time possible fishing off the dock while the girls enjoyed the short walk to the beach everyday. The house was very well stocked and very clean. Carla was friendly and super accommodating for us when we needed an unexpected date change. I would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to return one day!

Amazing beach

Lovely getaway in cozy cottage with gorgeous views. The fireplace and games/puzzles were wonderful to have since the weather was cool and rainy on and off while we were there.

Great cabin feel, easy access to Mt Bohemia

The property has stunning views and a nice cabin feel, ample parking and a well-equipped kitchen. Everything is very clean. The stone fireplace is really nice but otherwise the interior is dated. For the price, we were expecting more comfortable beds - the mattresses are very old and uneven. This is an ideal location on Superior just minutes from Mt Bohemia.

Spacious, charming, great cabin

We had a great stay. The place is better and more spacious than the pictures. We were at full capacity with 10 people and had room for an air mattress, even though we didn’t technically need it. The “futon” is actually a pull out couch. One bathroom is attached through the master but has two entrances through the kitchen too so it was fine for everyone to use. There was a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The host was helpful and welcoming. It was about ten mins from Mount Bohemia and was a perfect ski house. There was a lovely cozy and warm fire a fire wood to use. Would recommend and stay again!

2025 Boho Trip

Great residence, Carla was communicative and the place was well maintained. Right down the road from Bohemia. Lots of fire wood to one the porch, great views and comfortable beds. Make sure to bring some extra water bottles, the tap water has a slight sulfur smell - not a big deal since they keep a filter in the fridge.

2nd year at this cabin, have no plans to stop using it. very well appointed, especially the kitchen. great beds, perfect fireplace with wood, solid wifi. very clean and well kept. and the view is hard to beat.

Welcoming and cozy home

An absolutely beautiful place to sit still, relax, and get a front row seat to the fall colors of the keweenaw. Lake Superior right across the road from this gem, beach access and near by access to wonderful hiking, and a Nordic spa just up the road a few miles, you couldn’t ask for a better spot to spend your vacation. The house is beautiful and clearly loved by the owners and all those who are lucky enough to visit. Thoughtful amenities and guidance in their welcome book, we had all that we needed and more to figure out what was around us and all the local attractions. We can’t wait to come back and visit again. Thank you so much for having us!

Very clean and well stocked!

I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. It was very clean, comfortable beds with soft bedding and one of the best stocked VRBOs we have stayed in. From an over abundance of bathroom towels to a fully stocked kitchen, if you forgot anything, Carla will probably have it there for you. We brought our own paper products, spices, etc, but it’s all there. The ORV trails are very close and easy to access. Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. We will definitely return.
