Toutes les chambres sont grandes, une double, le reste peut ĂȘtre double ou twin. 3 ont une salle de bain privĂ©e, une en-suite et une avec douche en-suite. Immense piscine privĂ©e et jardin plein de caractĂšre local. Mais, exceptionnellement, au cƓur d'un village historique, pas au bord. À seulement 2 minutes Ă  pied d'une Ă©picerie / boulangerie, d'un cafĂ©, d'un restaurant et d'un bar. Un village traditionnel de "circulade" plein d'une architecture glorieuse.

Si vous ĂȘtes intĂ©ressĂ© par le vin, marchez bien jusqu'au bout de la route et vous ĂȘtes littĂ©ralement dans un vignoble! Il y a au moins 10 chĂąteaux avec dĂ©gustation de vins Ă  moins de 15 minutes en voiture de la maison.

Cette région est le pays cathare. La célÚbre capitale médiévale de Minerve est à 15 minutes en voiture. Carcassonne, avec son chùteau géant, est à 30 minutes.

Il y aura trÚs peu d'endroits proposés qui ont quatre types de natation différents à portée de main! En plus de sa propre piscine, la mer est à environ 30 minutes en voiture. Un lac d'eau douce avec une plage et des installations de baignade est à 15 minutes à Homps et de bonnes installations de baignade en riviÚre sont proposées à Bize Minervois à environ 15 minutes également.

C'est l'un des cinq endroits que nous avons répertoriés. Jusqu'à présent cette année, nous avons eu plus de 900 invités et au fil des ans plus de 200 avis en ligne de nos propriétés. Notre note moyenne est de 4. 9! Nous essayons de fournir une qualité constante encore et encore.

Lovely property - superb pool

Enormous property with beautiful heated private pool and comfortable bedrooms. We couldn’t believe how spacious it was. Lovely peaceful setting just minutes walk from the village cafe, boulangerie and restaurant. Also a short drive to lots of other local attractions. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful.

Beautiful house in charming French village

We had a wonderful stay at Mark's house in Ginestas. The house is beautiful, with original features, very clean and it has a great pool that the whole family enjoyed. Ginestas itself is a lovely, typically French village with a range of facilities and not far from the coast and larger towns. We would definitely recommend staying here.

A great location to visit the surrounding area. 40 mins from Gruissan beach, Roqebrun for kayaking and cycling along the canal du midi. The table du casino is great for dinner in the village. Some constructive feedback for the owners - The pool wasn’t as clean as it should be. Where we have stayed before the pool is cleaned/hoovered on a weekly basis, by the end of the week is was rather dirty and needed a proper good clean,Also the bathrooms needed a good deep clean.A lovely house full of character. Lovely stay!

Great size of property with enough space for everyone. The pool is a great size and a great way to cool down. The area doesnt have much for children but we had two hire cars for 8 of us and everywhere was driveable. Lovely day trip to Carcassonne, Peyrepeteuse Castle, Aquajet water park and loads more. We have had a glorious stay at Mark's place in Ginestas. Booking and communications with the owner were first rate. The house exceeded all expectations - it is truly beautiful. Wonderful location, absolutely beautiful property and a brilliant pool and gardens. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. Truly outstanding in every respect.

Amazing house, fabulous pool

Beautiful, spacious house with ample accommodation for our party of 9. Lots of original features and a pool to die for, especially in an August heatwave. Great location for exploring the region. The village itself was very quiet (i.e. no bar open for an evening aperitif) but the Wednesday evening 'nocturne' was a blast, and everyone made us feel very welcome.

Ginestas Gem

Just back from a glorious week in Ginestas. The house was everything I expected and more. Really good feel about the property and everyone enjoyed it. It was clean, very well equipped, and we wanted for nothing. The pool was very welcome when the temperatures hit the 30's. Would recommend very highly and a special mention for Karen and Hazel who were very accommodating. Thank you both.

Perfect family holiday

We had a really fabulous week here. The house was beautiful and spacious and the pool was much enjoyed by all. We ate at several of the restaurants in the village and had very good experiences in all. The people in the local village were warm and friendly. The house was in an excellent location for exploring Carcasonne, Beziers and Narbonne and all the beautiful villages. It is also close to the Canal du midi. All in all, a fabulous trip to a wonderful house in a beautiful location. Thank you to Mark for allowing us to enjoy his beautiful home.

Perfect!

The house provided a perfect base, loads of space, functional facilities and a wonderful outside area with fantastic swimming pool! The village it’s self was an ideal location with a bakery, village shop, bank and eateries, pop up shops and fĂȘte with live music and food stalls. However, the best restaurant we ate at was in the neighbouring village by the Midi canal. Day trips are easy with a car, Carcassonne and Minerva make for great days out and coming back home to MarksPlace put a real smile on all our faces. The property is even more impressive than it appears in the photos. Mark and his house managers are very responsive, friendly and helpful. Thank you for truly unforgettable holiday for all, cherished memories were made and nobody wanted to leave.

October getaway

The house is lovely. We arrived after a long day of travelling, and the standard delays in picking a hire car up - this meant we arrived in the dark, tired and frazzled. When we opened the door all the tiredness evaporated and everyone was excited about the house and the holiday. The house is huge - so deceptive from the outside but it also has really grand proportions (high ceilings etc). We stayed with extended family and the number of bathrooms was very welcome. Everything is comfortable and well-stocked. We were there at the end of October and the weather was very hot. The use of the pool was very welcome. Ginestas is a lovely village and the house is perfectly placed for a stroll around, or to pop to the shops/ bars in the village.

Lovely house in a charming town

Spacious and charming old town house with lots of big bedrooms and bathrooms -- no cramped little en-suites here! Good pool and areas for al fresco dining and sun-lounging. Altogether well equipped and easy to get on with. Ginestas is a great little town with a bakery, a delightfully eccentric wine bar, wonderful old school cafe-restaurant (Les Trois Cochons) and an absolute gem of a restaurant (Table de Casino) which is a few minutes walk away but is clearly attracting people from much further (drop in and book). We went there three times in two weeks! The little canal-side villages round and about are also worth exploring. Excellent big sandy beach with good swimming just east of Gruissan, with a huge bar (Paparazzo) to retreat to --it's a wide open beach so could get rough in a wind. The lake at Homps is underwhelming. Great canoeing centre at Roquebrun -- they will drive you upstream and leave you to paddle back, which is a perfect way to spend the afternoon with some gorgeous river swimming spots (especially the hamlet of Ceps, where the 5k trip starts). Narbonne has a beautiful historic centre with a magnificent cathedral.

Where to begin! The timeless rustic elegance of the house was immediately evident to us on opening the beautiful wooden front door for the first time. We were thrilled to investigate the whole house and allocate rooms for ourselves and our guests. The house is exceptionally spacious and the bedrooms are extremely large with comfortable beds. The outdoor space is light, private, and spacious. The pool was gorgeous and the landscaping is well thought out. The House was clean (Thank you Hazel) and overall in excellent condition. The kitchen was well equipped. It had everything we needed over the fortnight except for a lemon squeezer which is of no consequence. The Boulangerie was a huge hit and frequented by us everyday. La table du Casino was a great find. Full of life and great food. We also enjoyed dining at L’Oncle Jules. I would also highly recommend La Grillade du Chateau in nearby Ventenac sur Minervois. Truly splendid and the least expensive of the three mentioned! In conclusion – the house is full of character and charm, we all fell in love with it resulting in a truly memorable holiday. I can honestly say the house exceeded on all counts and I would like to thank you Mark for giving it life again.

I have an obsession about personal service, not just machines with endless tape recordings an options and waiting 20 minutes to be answered! I always make sure that I or my agents are available at the end of my mobile if needed. My motto is "personal holidays with personal service".

We are all from London. I am a retired banker and my wife is a doctor. We started buying holiday homes because we were consistently disappointed with the quality of other places when we started renting self-catering places as a young family. Hotels didn't offer proper flexibility for small kids, and self-catering was either very basic or ridiculously expensive jet-set places.

Our children are now adults, but the business has grown as we found that others like our choice of locations and standards. Some of our guests have stayed in all five of our holiday homes, sometimes 3 or 4 times in the same one.

Over 1900 guests a year now stay at ou holiday homes. The average rating of over 250 online reviews is 4.9! I try to deliver consistency and quality.

Self catering should be about high quality and compete with a good hotel experience, not just renting someone else's place.

There are a lot of properties in the Languedoc, so why this one? We wanted somewhere in a traditional French medieval village. The countryside is glorious, but not as practical. The convenience of walking to shops, bars and restaurants was important, and it feels much more "French" to become a part of the village, even if only a week or two. A "vignernon" is a house originally owned by a winemaker - this one was built in 1860. It is full of character with lots of space and light, but so much nicer than a modern concrete villa. A large pool and sun terrace as well as outdoor dining was important. The house hadn't been modernised for about 80 years, so we had to do everything - it has every modern feature, but keeps its old feel. Ginestas is a friendly, small village full of tradition, literally surrounded by vineyards, but just 30 minutes' drive from the sea and the town of Narbonne with all its facilities.

Lots of space and a large pool, but within a friendly French country village, not somewhere in the countryside.

Everything about the house is traditional French. From the shutters to the original tiled floors throughout, and giant wrought iron bannisters with glass finials. The furniture is a mile away from flatpack chipboard, self-assembly. It is tough enough so that you don't have to worry about the kids, but proper French furniture.

There are lots of modern, semi-identical villas on small housing estates. that is absolutely NOT what we wanted. We wanted somewhere with French character through and through to give a unique experience, not just a house with a pool and a bit of sunshine (although it certainly has that too!). Several of our guests have said that the house is a destination in its own right, which is just what we wanted.
