Hi Teresa. Sorry your stay wasn't perfect for you. We talked to the fireplace repair co. and they feel that because of the crazy rain and wind, that is why the smoke blew back in, he is coming to check it out. Hope you will visit us again. Thank you

Family Vacation

Our family meets every year at Bass Lake, and we all cannot fit into one cabin anymore. This cabin was the perfect “overflow” cabin and everyone with the property management company was very helpful and friendly.

NYE annual trip

I booked this home thru the VRBO app. Wasn’t sent any messages about the check in procedure via VRBO. I did receive an email about our confirmation thru bass lake home rentals. Never in that email does it state you have to physical go to the office to file paper work and pick up a key. I called numerous times and emailed with no return. Eventually after our 4:00 check in time someone answered and I was made aware we need to check in at the office. Also. Via the VRBO site you don’t have the option to opt out of the charge for sheets and linens. It’s $150. If your able to contact the listing agent directly maybe see if you can not be charged. Because the sheets were gross and you have to do all the bedding your self. Nothing is ready to go. I wish I had brought my own bedding. Luckily we brought our own towels because they only supply a few. Power was off. Luckily my husband was able to figure that out. Also would have been nice to have the heater on when we arrived. It was super cold and having small children it wasn’t ideal. Took all night for the house to warm up. But when it finally did. It was super warm! Bass lake rentals was not available on the weekends. We Weren't able to contact anyone when issues come up. Like, the vent leaking in the restroom, where to put trash because they only supply a very small can w/o bungees (they also state that you need to secure it with bungees) So we went and purchased some of our own. Beds are not comfy, some beds people said they were scared of them breaking. With all that said and Rocky start ….positives are it’s walking distance to the the market and the pine resort. Lots of space for a large group, kitchen is supplied with all types of pans, utensils anything you might need. The patio is a nice size, and the three restroom was convenient. With all that said I wouldn’t stay here again.

1) We do love this property, especially that we can rent it for 2 nights instead of 1 full week (which would be a deal breaker resulting in no rental at all if 1 week was required). 2) Love the handicap access for our 86-year-old mother who uses a walker. 3) The heater should be working at any time of year; this was a sticking point this year as we had an uncustomary cold weekend. 4) Love the peace and tranquility at LA19. And the puzzles, lol! I apologize for this, but I was not at all impressed with the team. 1) We had trouble receiving confirmation emails and had to go around several times before they appeared. 2) At times, phone calls and emails were unanswered unless I persisted. 3) I informed the team 1-2 days in advance that we would be arriving after hours, and instead of setting up accommodations at the time, they informed me that we would have to call the "day of" for accommodations. 4) I asked in an email about checkout instructions (along with other information); my first question was answered in that email but absolutely NO checkout instructions were given other than the checkout time. The informational email regarding checkout was sent when we were already home; we ended up getting checkout instructions from the cleaning woman who arrived as we were leaving in the morning. We have used your services several times over the years, and again, I apologize for the harsh language, but I am unaccustomed to the level of incompetence I experienced this year. However, everyone was extremely friendly and it all worked out in the end. We will likely rent LA19 again as it feels like it's "our place to stay" when we visit the Lake.
