Good location near the beach and spacious but although the house was clean on the surface it needs a deeper clean of skirting boards, floors, cupboard doors, door handles and of dust behind the beds. It really needs some replacement eg kitchen tablecloth, drawers with broken handles and repainting. It's rather tired

Excellent Beach House If You Only Have One Car

Excellent location. Nice and clean house. The only complaint is that they only have parking for 1 car. Very inconvenient and something that would keep us from renting again. BUT, if you only have 1 car then it’s perfect.

Easy walk to everything

I chose this property as it is just a few houses to the beach walking trail. We could walk into town for drinks, meals, groceries, everything! Home was very clean. It is an old home but so large and decorated well. We had everything we needed to cook and serve our meals.

If you like ants & rat poop this is your palce!

Our recent stay at this property managed by Vacasa was a nightmare. I want to clarify that I was aware this was an older home, and I didn't go into it with the highest of expectations. However, what we encountered went beyond reasonable expectations for an aging home. There were ants in several rooms and rat poop behind the ottoman turned our stay into a very unpleasant experience. We reached out to Vacasa on Saturday morning to address these issues, along with the non-functioning WiFi. Their response to the WiFi issue was $67 refund. Meanwhile, they assured us that a local team would contact us about the ant and rat problem To salvage our stay, I purchased ant traps. There was one ant trap already in the kitchen full of ants and my guess is no one had been at the house for months. I kept texting Vacasa, and they assured me that a local rep would reach out soon. It's been almost a week since my initial complaint, and I still haven't heard from a local rep. The lack of follow-through and disregard for our concerns is beyond disappointing. We had considered leaving on the first day and requesting a full refund, but the distance we had traveled and the unavailability of alternative accommodations in the area prevented us from doing so. While we understood and accepted that this was an older home, we did not expect to encounter conditions. The overall experience has left us deeply dissatisfied, frustrated, and regretful of our decision to stay at this property.

Didn't want to leave!

I love this place!!!!!! I love old houses and this is a classic. Can I ask when it was built? The kitchen especially was just wonderful. I loved that you can see the ocean from the front room also hear the ocean all night long. Everything was lovely--great beds, HOT water (a rarity in my own home) lots of room. Clean as a whistle. Lots and lots provided--sheets, towels, etc, and the kitchen is well stocked! Thank you for sharin g your lovely home: the pics throughout the house made me feel like I got to know the family. :-) I cannot wait to return!!

Great location
. The house was very clean
. The beds very very nice
. Kitchen area was small but adequate. The only negative is that there is very poor ventilation
.. only a couple of small windows can open,
.. all others are full pane windows that do not open. No screens on the doors for the front and back. It felt a bit stuffy during our stay

Fun Getaway

Loved the house for its location and charm. It has a great private back yard for wine and playing cards. We really enjoyed having fun in town and then relaxing on the deck. It was in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors.

close to beach and roomy

My family came here for several days and we really enjoyed this house! the living room had enough room for the 5 of us plus a child. It was a short walk to the beach and the aquarium and shopping were all within walking distance. Highly recommend this house. It is definitely an older home but it was cute and had what we needed.

Cute little cottage by the beach

We enjoyed our stay. It was a little old house just walking distance to the beach. It needs a little work, the bathroom door in the pink flower room does not lock. Furnitures are dated, but it was clean. Maybe just update the doors in the bedrooms so they have locks. Overall, we would come back again.

Enjoyed our stay in your facility. Bedrooms spaced nicely apart as well as bathrooms. One concern was electric outlets heavily ladened with multiple appliances per outlet. Arced at one point when plugging in a watch. Also quite a bit of deferred maintenance, stairway up to door, back decking.

Great stay in Seaside steps from the sea!

We had a great stay at the Prom Cottage while in Seaside - lots of room, great view from the from sitting room and you can’t beat the proximity to the boardwalk & beach! Lots of towels, kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware available - perfect for our party of 5 - along with 3 fridges for maximum capacity for groceries and beverage choices! The reason I only gave 4 stars though is that the cottage could use a few updates. The pull-out couch and love seat need replacing and the little bathroom shower door could use some love. The cottage is old but it is adorable and perfect for families wanting to stay at the beach - these little things by no means altered our stay at all! We would absolutely come back and stay again in a heartbeat and will be looking for dates next summer, as our son is planning to attend college in Portland in the future. If there had have been a way to give 4 1/2 stars, that would have been my final verdict. :)

House with character, GREAT location!

The house definitely had a "beach" feel and was what we were looking for for our getaway. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us that stayed there. The beach is half a block away! The kitchen was decently stocked for cooking, but a few additional kitchen tools/items would have made cooking meals easier. It would have been nice to have oil in the cupboard, instead of having to buy some. One issue with the property was the faucets in both showers/bathtub leaked and it was very difficult, if possible at all, to stop the drip. The faucets are touchy and difficult to adjust. Also, the windows in the living room and dining area do not open and the windows in the middle bedroom are "out of order". It became very warm in the house during the day and in the evening. Without being to able to open windows we had no way to get air flow through the house to move the warm air. Other than that the property was what we expected and worked well for our needs.

Nice Property

There wasn't a coffee grinder we could find, so be careful if you buy coffee there and intend to brew it, you may need your own grinder, or buy the coffee pre-ground. Other than that, the rental was just right for us.

Pleasant family vacation!

We enjoyed our stay. Great location, evening sunsets, and a deck right off the kitchen for breakfast and lunch. Spacious living are with a great table for sunset dinners and games. Just right for our family vacation! Thank you.

Great location

Our stay was good, this property is located only a few houses back from the promenade and beach. Very convenient to the beach and shopping. Good supply of necessities (towels, eating and cooking utensils, etc.). The property is a little older, but has character.

Nice place.

It’s a nice older house. Very spacious. Great if you have kids. Lots of room for them to roam around the house. There is a dining area in the kitchen also one by the front door if you want to see the ocean. You don’t get a full view but you still have a view of the ocean. Lots of room which was important for us because we have kids.
